Cinevva Rig for Blender: Changelog
Last updated: September 2026.
The add-on supports Blender 4.2.0 and newer, including the 5.x releases, on Windows, macOS and Linux. It installs as a standard Blender extension. Each new version replaces the file behind the download link on the add-on page, and the add-on tells you inside Blender when a newer version exists. Purchases include updates. If a Blender release breaks something, this page is where the fix is announced, and [email protected] is where to report it.

The sidebar was redesigned around one card per job. A header shows the selected character and its state. Rigging asks you to pick the front of your character from four rendered views instead of guessing, lets you choose the rigging engine, and reports what it built in plain words (bones, fingers found, anything skipped). The Export card shows the size analysis and the engine presets together. Signing in for online rigging now uses a one-time code you approve in your browser, so no password is typed into Blender. The animation browser gained a filmstrip view next to the grid.

Rigging on your own machine. The add-on downloads the rigging engine once (about 2.4 GB) and from then on rigs offline, with no per-rig charge and no count. Online rigging through a Cinevva account stays available for machines that shouldn't spend the time, and costs credits. A licence key activates up to three machines.

Game-ready export, the free half of the add-on. A size analysis splits the estimated export into geometry, textures, animation and shape keys before you export, so you can see where the bytes go. Presets for Web (GLB, Draco, WebP textures capped at 1024), Unity (FBX, Y-up, unit scale applied), Unreal (FBX, Z-up, Unreal bone axes) and Godot (plain GLB, Y-up) set the axes, scale, texture caps and compression each target expects. Measured against a plain Blender GLB export, the presets produced files 68% to 98% smaller on four real models. No key, no account and no network needed.

First release. Select a mesh, press Rig, and get a skinned, Mixamo-named humanoid armature back through Cinevva's rigging service. The 260-clip CC0 animation library plays on the rigged character inside Blender, previewed in a browser docked in the viewport.
