Veil Below was built by 24_Muhammad Nafis Dzulfahmi with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Veil Below opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a playable 2.5D side-scrolling action-platformer called “Veil Below,” set in dark Forgotten Caverns beneath a kingdom. Use a Three.js-style orthographic camera looking across a single side-on plane, with a deep navy-black background, subtle fog, soft shadows, dim blue-gray directional lighting, layered ruin silhouettes in the far background, mossy stone architecture, cyan glowing crystals and faint blue ambient rings. The overall look should be low-poly dark fantasy with restrained colors: charcoal/navy stone, muted moss green, cyan highlights, plum-purple enemies, and warm gold UI accents. The world should feel like a horizontal exploration slice rather than a large open 3D world. The player is a small masked wanderer at the left side of the level: a pale faceted mask with a narrow cyan visor, dark blue-black body, and a short faceted dark cloak. The player moves horizontally with A/D or the left/right arrow keys, jumps with Space, can double-jump after learning the skill from Keeper Sable, and can perform a wall jump near the far left/right boundaries. Shift performs a fast veil dash that consumes 22 veil energy and briefly grants invulnerability. Left mouse button performs a short Veilblade melee attack; show a glowing pale-cyan blade during the attack. Right mouse button performs a “Veil Burst,” restoring a small amount of energy. Face the direction of movement and use simple responsive platformer physics with gravity, horizontal acceleration, jumping, dash momentum, collision against platforms, and a bounded horizontal play area. Build a compact cavern layout with a broad lower floor spanning the scene, an upper bridge around the left-center, a raised north shelf toward the right, a west shelf, and a boss ledge at the far right. Include tall narrow stone pillars, damaged columns, ancient stairs, a cave rock, and distant vertical ruin silhouettes. Place several cyan crystal decorations around the lower level. The camera should track the player horizontally and slightly vertically while keeping the side-on composition. The main progression is a simple quest chain. Begin with the quest “Whispers in the Dark,” asking the player to find Keeper Sable at the lower shrine. Place Keeper Sable around the left-center on the lower floor as a small purple keeper figure carrying a warm glowing lamp. Interacting with the keeper using E opens a dialogue panel: the keeper explains that the lower lift is sealed by the Hollow Warden and teaches the wanderer to split the veil in two, unlocking double jump. Advance the quest to defeating the Hollow Warden. Place a small Lantern-Keeper’s Stall near the center-lower area; E opens its shop. The shop sells a Gloom Tonic for 3 shards that restores 25 health, and a Veil Thread for 5 shards that increases maximum veil energy. Place one basic enemy, a floating/rounded purple “Cavern Stalker,” in the lower-middle area. It has a small glowing pink eye, moves/animates subtly, and damages the player on contact. It has 3 health; each successful melee hit reduces it by one, and defeating it awards 3 shards. The player has 100 health and 100 veil energy. Health damage should briefly make the player invulnerable; when health reaches zero, reset the player to the last shrine/start position with full health. At the far right, place a large purple “Hollow Warden” boss on a raised ledge: a faceted dark-purple cylindrical body with a larger base and a glowing lavender horn/arc shape above it. The boss becomes active as the player approaches within the eastern arena and should have a visible boss health panel at the top center. Give it 24 health; each close melee attack deals 2 damage. It should gently float/animate and damage the player when nearby. On defeat, hide the boss, award 12 shards, mark the Warden Shard as acquired, complete the quest, and display a toast that the forest lift is unsealed. At the far-right gate, if the boss is defeated, interacting should display that the sealed forest lift opens and more regions await; do not build those extra regions. Use a fixed HUD over the game. At top-left show a rounded dark translucent panel labeled WANDERER with a magenta/red health bar and a second VEIL ENERGY label with a cyan-blue bar. At top-right show SHARDS and a gold numeric count. While the quest is active, show a right-side card titled “Whispers in the Dark” with the current objective. When the boss is active, show “The Hollow Warden” and a purple health bar at the top center. Show temporary centered toast notifications for events such as finding Keeper Sable, learning double jump, dashing, enemy defeat, damage, purchases, and boss defeat. Include the opening title presentation over the cavern: a small uppercase subtitle “AN ORIGINAL DARK-FANTASY EXPLORATION SLICE,” a large serif gold title “VEIL BELOW,” and the instruction “Press any movement key to descend into the Forgotten Caverns.” Hide this title after a few seconds and begin play. Along the bottom, show the control hint: “A / D move · Space jump · Shift dash · LMB attack · RMB veil burst · E interact · M map · Tab inventory · Q ability · Esc pause.” Implement overlays and menus matching the same dark translucent rounded-panel style with thin blue-gray borders and gold serif headings. Escape pauses the game and opens a pause menu with Resume, Map, Inventory, and Customize. M opens an Underground Cartography map showing Forgotten Caverns as discovered with NPC, Shop, and Boss, Whispering Forest as sealed with “Warden key required,” and Sunken City and Crystal Depths as uncharted. Tab opens Relics & Equipment listing Veilblade, Warden Shard, Double Jump, and Faded Map, with statuses updating after progression. Customize opens Mask & Cloak and offers cosmetic mask colors Bone, Copper, and Moonsteel, plus cloak colors Dusk, Plum, and Moss; these only change the player palette for the current run. Use E to open/advance dialogue and shop interactions, and provide close buttons for overlays. Add simple mobile touch controls at the bottom corners: left/right movement buttons and buttons for attack, jump, and dash.
