Make your own game

Quizfall Defense was built by NOOTBEEECH with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Quizfall Defense opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Quizfall Defense

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based 2D tower-defense game titled “Quizfall Defense.” Use a dark neon sci-fi quiz-room/event aesthetic with a responsive full-screen layout: a top header showing a lightning logo, the title QUIZFALL DEFENSE, subtitle “protect the vault // special event online,” and four live stats for Coins, Wave, Vault health, and XP. The main area should have a large bordered game board on the left and a command sidebar on the right (collapse/reflow it for narrow mobile screens). Use bold rounded display typography for titles and a technical condensed font for labels, with deep navy panels, blue borders, lime/gold/pink/purple accents, shadows, and glowing highlights.

The board is a top-down, canvas-rendered defense map. Draw a dark gridded atmospheric background and a thick winding road/path with several right-angle turns. Enemies enter from three nearby labeled spawn gates (A, B, and C), follow the path, and finish at a glowing pink/red “VAULT” at the far end. Mark the entry area with an ENTRY panel. Place ten fixed circular build pads around the road; empty pads are green/blue glowing circles with a plus sign, while occupied pads contain a tower icon. The board also has a small “DEFEND THE VAULT” label during combat or “BUILD YOUR LOADOUT” during preparation, a LIVE BOARD pill, a ROUND 15 WIN pill, and transient centered toast notifications.

Core gameplay is a build phase followed by timed rounds. Start with 240 coins, Wave 1, Vault 25 health, and 0 XP. The player chooses one of five tower cards in the sidebar (keyboard keys 1–5 also select them), then clicks an empty glowing pad to buy and place the tower. The five tower types, costs, colors, and behavior are: Blaster (50 coins, cyan, reliable single-target damage); Sniper (85, gold, long range and high damage); Boom Box (105, pink, area splash damage near its target); Freeze Pop (90, purple, low damage but slows enemies); and Quiz Beacon (125, lime, no damage but buffs nearby towers). Display each card with its icon, name, short description, and cost. Clicking an existing tower selects it and shows its level, damage/range, and KO count, plus a visible circular attack range. Towers automatically target the furthest-along enemy within their range and fire at their individual rates. Towers can be upgraded through the Upgrade command, increasing level, damage/range or support strength for a cost based on tower type and level, or sold/recycled for coins.

Provide a command deck with buttons for Start round, speed cycling through ×1/×2/×3, Airstrike 60, Freeze 45, Theme, Upgrade, and Sell. Space pauses/resumes; Q activates the airstrike and E activates Freeze. Start round begins a roughly 30+wave-scaled-second round, spawns a wave-scaled number of enemies over time, and shows a progress bar. Airstrike costs 60 and then lets the player click the board to deal a large direct hit to enemies near the clicked location. Freeze costs 45 and temporarily slows all enemies for four seconds. Theme cycles the map palette among Skyline, Candy Lab, Moon Base, and Volcano, changing background, road, pad, and accent colors. Keep the deck readout visible with current theme, deck power, and collected drops.

Spawn colorful, circular enemies with distinct letter/symbol markings and health bars: normal green walkers (“Z”), faster yellow runners (“R”), purple tanks (“T”) with high health, cyan shield units (“S”) that reduce incoming damage, lime healers (“H”) that restore nearby enemies, and larger pink bosses marked with a star. Enemy speed and health scale with wave; every fourth wave is announced as a special round with a mini-boss alert, and the player needs to survive through round 15. Enemies reaching the vault reduce Vault health (bosses and tanks deal more damage); at zero, show a dark overlay reading VAULT LOST with score and “refresh to redeploy.” If round 15 is cleared, show VAULT SECURED with the score and the same refresh message.

Shots should be glowing colored projectiles traveling toward targets. Include small hit flashes, death particles, floating coin/XP gain text, combo tracking that appears as “COMBO ×N” after consecutive kills, and freeze status text when active. Kills award coins and XP according to enemy type, bosses award extra coins, and tower KO counts update. Bosses and occasional enemies drop a glowing collectible card/chest on the board; clicking it collects it and applies one of three visible effects: Coin Surge grants 70 coins, Double XP boosts the next three KOs, or Lucky Card grants 25 coins/a free-card-style bonus. Show a boss defeat notification and card drop on the field. Preserve the tactile game feel with pulsing spawn gates and pads, glowing tower/projectile colors, screen shake on airstrike, and clear toast messages such as round start, round clear, insufficient coins, tower built, card evolved, and vault loss. Support mouse and touch pointer input and make the controls readable in the UI.
