Make your own game

Le Dernier Verre was built by Alexandre BEAUSSART with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Le Dernier Verre opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Le Dernier Verre

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Rebuild a single-page French interactive detective/investigation game titled “Le Dernier Verre” (Dossier 07), with no canvas or 3D: use a polished responsive dark editorial UI that behaves like a dossier application. The setting is a rainy-night bar called Le Minuit Bleu: at 23:30 the bar owner is found unconscious in a locked office after a power cut, a poisoned glass is mentioned in the premise, and the missing item is the account book. The player must interrogate three witnesses, compare their statements, and accuse the culprit.

Visual direction: full-height very dark navy/charcoal background (#12141c) with a subtle grain/dotted texture, warm amber/gold accent (#e8a33d), muted gray text, off-white body copy, dark slate panels with thin translucent beige borders, restrained shadows, and occasional red contradiction/warning accents. Use Inter for UI text and Playfair Display/Georgia for large headings. Keep the layout spacious, premium, cinematic, and bureaucratic rather than cartoonish. At the top of every screen show a small outlined amber square containing “L”, followed by uppercase spaced text “BUREAU DES AFFAIRES SINGULIÈRES”; on desktop also show the amber case label “DOSSIER 07 · LE DERNIER VERRE”.

Start screen: a two-column landing page. Left side shows the amber eyebrow “DOSSIER 07 · ENQUÊTE INTERACTIVE”, large serif title “Le Dernier” on one line and amber “Verre” beneath, and this French description: “Une coupure de courant. Un verre empoisonné. Trois témoins, trois versions impossibles à accorder. À vous de repérer la faille avant que le coupable ne disparaisse dans la nuit.” Below it, show an amber vertical rule with three lines: “Interrogez les suspects”, “Comparez leurs témoignages”, “Accusez sans trembler”, then a prominent amber button “Commencer l’enquête”. Right side is a bordered case-file card labeled like a restricted report, with “Rapport préliminaire”, heading “La pluie efface les traces.”, and text explaining that at 23 h 30 the owner of Le Minuit Bleu was found unconscious in his office, the door was locked, and the account book is missing. Add a tilted red stamp “ACCÈS RESTREINT”.

Suspect selection screen: title area with eyebrow “Étape 01 · Témoins”, heading “Choisissez qui interroger.”, supporting text “Chaque version contient un détail que les autres ne peuvent pas expliquer.” and a Retour button. Show three equal dark cards, each with a stylized faux portrait made only from a colored gradient rectangle, large initials, and a small “Portrait signalétique” tag (do not require photographic assets). The suspects and exact data are:
- Clara Morel, “Propriétaire du bar”, initials CM, warm brown/blue portrait, intro: “« Je servais les derniers verres. Je n’ai rien vu d’autre que la pluie. »”
- Victor Sorel, “Journaliste local”, initials VS, cool blue/gray portrait, intro: “« J’étais là pour écrire un article. Le reste est une mise en scène. »”
- Milo Vasseur, “Coursier à vélo”, initials MV, ochre/brown portrait, intro: “« J’ai livré le paquet, puis je suis reparti. Rien de plus. »”
Each card has an amber “Interroger” button.

Interview screen: show eyebrow “Étape 02 · Interrogatoire”, heading “Face à face.”, subtitle “Écoutez moins les mots. Regardez les écarts.”, and a “Comparer” button. Use a three-panel desktop layout: left profile panel with the selected suspect’s faux portrait, name, profession, and a Nervosité gauge; center chat panel; right “Notes de terrain / Carnet d’indices” panel. Initial nervousness is Clara 34%, Victor 52%, Milo 64%, displayed as a horizontal gradient gauge from green through amber to red. Under it show “Il évite votre regard.” above 60%, otherwise “Il garde encore son calme.”

The center is a conversation log with right-aligned amber/brown player bubbles and left-aligned slate suspect bubbles, labels “Vous” and the suspect name. Initially show an empty state saying “Conversation ouverte” and “Posez une question. Les réponses qui se contredisent seront ajoutées à votre carnet.” Below, provide clickable preset questions in French: “Où étiez-vous quand la lumière s’est éteinte ?”, “À quelle heure êtes-vous parti ?”, “Qui peut confirmer votre présence ?”, “Avez-vous touché au verre de la victime ?”, and “Quel était votre mobile ?”. Also provide a free text input placeholder “Poser une question libre…” with an arrow submit button. Free text receives a generic response: “Je vous ai déjà répondu. Ne cherchez pas à me faire dire ce que je n’ai pas vu.”

Preset response logic must exactly reflect the source mechanics. For time: Clara says “À 23 h 10, juste avant la fermeture.”, Victor says “Vers 23 h 20. La pendule avançait de cinq minutes.”, Milo says “23 h 05 exactement, montre en main.” For alibi: Clara says “Le serveur était avec moi. Il peut le confirmer.”, Victor says “Je prenais des notes, seul, près de la fenêtre.”, Milo says “Ma tournée est enregistrée dans l’application.” For the glass question Victor says “Je n’ai touché à rien. J’observais seulement.” while Clara and Milo both say “Le verre ? Non. Mark the first two clues red and the alibi clue amber. Asking time or glass increases the selected suspect’s nervousness by 11, capped at 96; free-form questions increase it by 8, also capped at 96. Track interrogated suspects, though the player can proceed.

Show a horizontally scrollable dark table with columns Point clé, Clara Morel, Victor Sorel, Milo Vasseur and rows Lieu, Heure, Alibi, containing the exact answers above. Highlight Clara and Milo cells red for Lieu and Heure (the implementation marks every cell except Victor in those two red contradiction rows); leave alibi normal.

Accusation screen: centered narrower content, eyebrow “Étape 04 · Décision”, heading “Qui a fait taire la lumière ?”, explanatory text that the player must choose a suspect and record reasoning and that the accusation cannot be withdrawn. Show three selectable choice cards for the same suspects; selected card gets an amber outline and warm dark highlight. Add a textarea labeled “Votre justification” with placeholder “Le détail qui vous a convaincu…”, warning “⚠ Attention : une mauvaise accusation classera le dossier sans appel.”, Retour and “Confirmer l’accusation” buttons. If no suspect is chosen, visibly shake the choice area and do not proceed. The correct choice is Victor Sorel.

Result screen: centered verdict card with circular check icon for success or x icon/red styling for failure. Success heading “Affaire résolue”, failure heading “Mauvaise accusation”. Success copy says “Votre recoupement a tenu. La contradiction sur l’alibi a fait tomber le masque.” Failure copy says “Le vrai coupable s’éloigne pendant que le dossier se referme. La bonne piste était ailleurs.” Both show a bordered truth box headed “Ce qui s’est vraiment passé”: “Victor a utilisé la coupure pour récupérer le carnet dans le bureau. Il connaissait l’horloge déréglée et a déplacé l’heure du crime dans son récit. Le carnet a été retrouvé dans la doublure de son manteau.” Include an amber/neutral “Rejouer l’enquête” button that resets all state and nervousness.

Make every screen transition smoothly fade/slide upward. Preserve state for clues, messages, selected suspect, nervousness, accusation, justification, and result while navigating. Make it responsive: on narrow screens stack the home columns, make suspect cards horizontally scrollable, collapse the interview panels vertically with a compact profile, allow the comparison table to scroll horizontally, stack accusation choices vertically, and keep the same dark dossier aesthetic. All interface text should remain in French.
