Ekkoarkivet was built by John-Ivar Hauge with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Ekkoarkivet opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Recreate a browser-based top-down 2D stealth game titled “Ekkoarkivet” (Norwegian UI). The play area is a fixed 1200x700 canvas scaled responsively to fit the viewport, with a dark navy/charcoal abandoned memory archive: nearly black outer background, a large dark-blue rectangular room bounded by thick outer walls, subtle horizontal floor lines, and brown shelf-like accents. Use clean minimalist vector/canvas graphics, soft glows, rounded HUD panels, and a restrained palette of navy, slate, cream/gold, cyan, purple, pink, and green. Core objective: the player is an archivist who must collect three glowing gold diamond-shaped memory fragments, use an echo of their own movement to manipulate a pressure plate, then reach the exit before the guard catches them. Place fragments at approximately (130,120), (360,570), and (1025,545) in the room. The exit is a small door/portal at the upper-right around (1082,80), initially locked and labeled “LÅST”; after all three fragments are collected it becomes cyan/teal and labeled “UT”. Touching the active exit after collecting all fragments wins. Player: draw a small white circular avatar with a cyan outline and a dark blue rectangular center, initially around (125,320). Move at about 190 pixels/second with collision against all walls and the closed door. Desktop controls are WASD or arrow keys. On mobile, provide a large virtual joystick at bottom-left. The player cannot walk through the archive walls, shelves, or a closed door. Level geometry: use a room from x=40,y=40 to x=1160,y=660, with thick outer boundary walls. Add internal vertical barriers creating corridors: a wall near x=250 with a gap between y=250 and 330; a wall near x=470 with gaps around y=450-530; a wall near x=690 with gaps around y=205-285 and y=465-500; and a wall near x=900 with a gap around y=450-530. Add short horizontal brown shelf obstacles approximately at (268,240) size 80x18, (390,390) size 80x18, (708,220) size 85x18, and (975,380) size 100x18. Render structural walls slate-gray with lighter outlines and shelves brown. Pressure plate and echo mechanic: place a gold rectangular plate around (570,106), size 70x52, labeled “PLATE”. It turns pale green when active. The door is a vertical barrier around x=690,y=205,size 18x80, colored red/pink when closed and green when open. The plate is active if either the player or the playback echo is standing inside it; this opens the door. If neither is on it, the door closes. The player can press Space (or a mobile “Start ekko” button) to begin recording movement, shown with a pulsing pink ring around the player. Record at most five seconds of the player’s movement; pressing the button again ends recording and starts one playback. During playback, the echo retraces the recorded positions once, shown as a cyan orb with a pulsing cyan ring. It can distract the guard and hold the pressure plate down. Show the status as “Tar opp Ns” while recording, “Ekko spiller av” during playback, and “Ekko klar” otherwise. After one playback finishes, the echo disappears and the ability is ready again. If recording has too few movement events, do not start playback. Guard: add a purple circular patrolling sentinel initially around (1040,170), radius about 15, moving through patrol points near (1040,170), (1040,330), (1030,560), and (800,560). It moves more slowly than the player, around 55 pixels/second while patrolling, and can navigate around walls. Give it a directional facing and a translucent triangular/conical vision indicator extending about 250-280 pixels with a roughly 112-degree field of view. Vision is blocked by walls and the closed door and only detects targets within range and line of sight. The guard normally patrols and has a purple body with two dark eye dots. If it sees the player, change its state to a red/pink “jakter” chase state, increment the detection count, show a toast saying “Oppdaget! Bryt synslinjen!”, and pursue the player’s last seen position. When it reaches that location it searches for about 2.5 seconds, then resumes patrol. If it sees the echo while patrolling, switch to a yellow/orange “undersøker” state, show “Vokteren undersøker ekkoet”, and pursue the echo; it should be possible to use the echo as a decoy. If the guard comes within roughly 26 pixels of the player, lose immediately with the message “Du ble oppdaget”. HUD and screens: use a responsive overlay. During play, show rounded dark translucent pills along the top with “Fragmenter 0/3”, “Tid 0:00”, the echo status, and a Pause button. Show short toast notifications near the upper center for starting/stopping echo, fragment pickups, plate/door changes, and detection. Collecting a fragment should show a count such as “Minnesfragment hentet (1/3)” and a brief expanding gold particle effect. The three uncollected fragments slowly rotate and glow; support a “Redusert bevegelse” option that suppresses pulsing/glow animation. Include sound effects via simple short tones for actions, with a “Lyd” checkbox. Start screen: cover the game with a centered rounded dark navy card over a dark radial background. Include two instruction boxes: computer controls (WASD/arrows to move, Space to record/end echo, Esc to pause) and mobile controls (left circle to move, “Start ekko” button, pause button). Explain that the echo repeats up to five seconds of movement once. Provide a prominent “Start arkivet” button and Lyd/Redusert bevegelse checkboxes. Pause behavior: Escape, desktop Pause, or mobile pause freezes all gameplay, timing, guard, and echo playback, and shows a centered Norwegian pause card saying “Spillet er satt på pause”, “Alt står stille — også tidtakingen og ekkoet.”, with a “Fortsett” button. Hide the mobile controls while paused. End behavior and scoring: on victory show a centered end card with “Arkivet er sikret” and copy explaining that all three fragments were collected and the player escaped. On loss show “Du ble oppdaget” and explain that the fragments remain in the archive. Display elapsed time, number of detections, and score. Score should start at 10000, subtract 35 per second and 900 per detection, never go below zero. Save the best score/time/detections locally and display the best score on victory. Provide “Spill igjen” plus the same sound and reduced-motion settings. Add subtle beeps for interactions, pickups, detection, win, and loss. Keep all UI text and labels in Norwegian, and make the layout responsive with mobile joystick controls only on small screens.
