Bug Tabs was built by Chris Moore with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Bug Tabs opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Recreate a browser-based 2D sandbox auto-battler called “Bug Tabs” / “Bug Tabs Arena.” Use a full-screen dark forest-green interface with a canvas arena behind translucent, rounded glass panels. The visual style is clean modern game UI: pale green/white text, muted green borders, blue and red team accents, lime highlights, soft shadows, and subtle blur. The layout must be responsive: on wide screens place a tall roster panel on the left and a controls panel in the upper-right over the arena; on narrow/mobile screens stack the roster above the controls while keeping the arena visible. Add a bottom-centered status bar showing “Blue [count] units,” “Red [count] units,” and “Selected: [bug name].” The core loop is: the player taps one of five filter tabs—Ground, Flying, Ranged, Support, Heavy—then taps a bug card to select it. Each card shows the bug name, role, HP, damage, cooldown, and a short description. The selected bug can be spawned onto the Blue or Red team using large “Spawn Blue” and “Spawn Red” buttons. “Spawn 5” creates five copies of the selected bug for Blue. Include “Load Demo Battle,” “Clear Arena,” and “Pause” buttons; Pause freezes simulation and changes to “Resume.” Start the game with the demo battle already loaded, so both teams are immediately present. The playfield is a 1200x700-style 2D arena scaled to the canvas. Paint it with a vertical dark green gradient, faint square grid lines, a translucent blue zone along the left edge and translucent red zone along the right edge, and a dashed vertical center line. Label the top-left area “BLUE NEST” and top-right “RED NEST.” Units spawn near their team’s edge at random vertical lanes, then automatically move toward the nearest living enemy, target, attack on cooldown, and fight without direct player movement controls. Units stay within the arena bounds and gently push apart from allies when crowded. Draw Blue units with a blue outer team ring and Red units with a red outer team ring; draw each unit as a colored circular bug token containing the first two uppercase letters of its name, with a small health bar above it. Flash the inner token white briefly when hit. Draw status rings for effects: red for bleed, cyan for virus DOT, and orange for blister/slow. Show a large centered winner overlay when one swarm has no living units, and update the top pill between “Build both teams,” “Battle in progress,” “Blue swarm wins,” and “Red swarm wins.” Implement this exact roster and behavior: Ground tab: Ant (10 HP, 1 damage, melee range, 0.9s cooldown, speed 62; basic tiny brawler), Ladybug (100 HP, 10 damage, melee, 1.0s, speed 58; reliable frontline bug), Beetle (5 HP, 5 damage, melee, 0.9s, speed 54; takes 99% less damage), Worm (15 HP, 15 damage, melee, 0.8s, speed 132; cheap fast attacker), and Maggot (45 HP, 5 damage, melee, 0.8s, speed 64; small melee body). Flying tab: Fly (10 HP, 1 damage, melee, 0.7s, speed 150; very fast flyer that is buffed by Virus), Parrot (1670 HP, 500 damage, range 110, 1.35s cooldown, speed 88; ranged bird applying 50 DPS bleed for 5 seconds), and Bee (1 HP, 999 damage, melee, 0.4s cooldown, speed 170; self-destructs after attacking). Ranged tab: Jumping Spider (12 HP, 5 damage, range 90, 1.1s, speed 82; ranged attacker), Yellow Crazy Ant (50 HP, 5 damage, range 138, 0.5s, speed 92; once below 26 HP, steals/converts one nearest enemy bug to its own team, only once), and Virus (1 HP, 1 damage, range 78, 0.1s, speed 78; applies 3 damage-per-second DOT for 3 seconds and buffs allied Flies). Support tab: Caterpillar (50 HP, zero damage, speed 40; does not attack and periodically heals the most damaged nearby ally for 3 within range 90 every 0.9 seconds), Butterfly (150 HP, 15 damage, range 96, 0.95s, speed 118; fast attacker that bursts 100 healing to a nearby injured ally within 150 every 4 seconds), Stinkbug (550 HP, 125 damage, melee, 1.0s, speed 58; creates a green translucent 95-radius stink cloud on death that lasts 6 seconds and deals 22 DPS to enemies inside), and Blister Bug (575 HP, 175 damage, melee, 1.0s, speed 60; on death permanently applies 20 DPS and a movement-speed multiplier of 0.62 to nearby enemies within 130). Heavy tab: Scarab Beetle (1000 HP, 100 damage, melee, 1.4s, speed 35; massive tank), Chimera Ant (5000 HP, 250 damage, range 30, 1.2s, speed 44; huge boss), Roach (1600 HP, 10 damage, melee, 0.3s, speed 72; takes 50% less damage), Bullet Ant (550 HP, 550 damage, melee, 1.35s, speed 70; one huge melee hit), and Giant Waterbug (3700 HP, 1700 damage, melee, 1.4s, speed 56; gigantic assassin bug). For combat, each unit tracks attack cooldowns and support/heal cooldowns. Damage is reduced by the target’s special damage reduction, so Roach receives half damage and Beetle receives only 1% damage. Virus buffs allied Flies by +18 movement speed and +1 damage per living allied Virus. Bleed, virus DOT, blister DOT, and stink clouds tick over time. Remove defeated units from the visible arena after death processing, while keeping concise recent messages in a scrollable Battle Log. Log spawns, major hits of at least 250 damage, heals, conversions, defeats, special death effects, and demo loading. The demo battle should clear the arena and spawn: Blue Ant, Roach, Caterpillar, Fly, Stinkbug, Ladybug, Yellow Crazy Ant, and Parrot; Red Ant, Bullet Ant, Virus, Bee, Jumping Spider, Blister Bug, and Butterfly. Add the message “Demo battle loaded.” The Notes area should explicitly say the duplicate Butterfly entries were combined into one fast healer-attacker with 150 HP, 15 damage, and a 100 healing burst. Ensure all controls are touch-friendly and the arena simulation runs continuously with a capped animation timestep unless paused.
