Blue Blur Dash was built by Lucas Collins with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Blue Blur Dash opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a browser-based 2D side-scrolling speed-platformer titled “Blue Blur Dash,” rendered responsively on a full-screen canvas. The camera follows a small blue, Sonic-inspired cartoon character running from left to right across a long 9200-unit hilly stage; keep the player around 34% of the screen width and add slight look-ahead based on horizontal speed. The goal is the yellow GOAL sign near the far right of the stage. There are no enemies or combat systems: the challenge is movement, jumping, collecting rings, charging spindashes, using launch/boost devices, and finishing quickly. World and visuals: use a bright cyan-to-pale sky gradient, faint repeating distant background scenery, and layered green rolling hills with parallax. The ground is an undulating brown dirt fill with a vivid green grass top edge, subtle white highlight, and repeating square grass terrain tiles. Shape the terrain with multiple gentle hills and ramps. Add two large decorative green loop-the-loop structures around the middle and later part of the level (near 2850 and 6800 world units); they are visible ramps/loops in the scenery but do not need separate physics beyond the normal ground. Place yellow boost strips with purple centers at approximately x=760, 2460, 4180, 6120, and 7680; when the grounded player crosses one, force their forward speed to at least that pad’s power, approximately 900–1180. Place red spring pads with pale vertical tops at approximately x=1500, 3320, 4700, 6550, and 8210; touching one while near the ground launches the player upward with power roughly 1020–1240. Scatter collectible gold rings in lines and arcs above the ground throughout the stage, using groups beginning near x=280, 980, 1640, 2320, 3080, 3920, 4800, 5620, 6480, 7220, 7980, and 8620; rings bob slightly and disappear when collected. Player mechanics: the character starts near x=120 with zero speed and 0 rings. Use horizontal acceleration and friction on the ground, air steering, gravity, clamped maximum speed, and ground-slope influence. Normal running speed target is about 610 and normal top speed about 980; Super target is about 840 and top speed about 1320. Move left/right with A/D or Left/Right. Jump with Space (also support J on keyboard and a mobile JUMP button), applying approximately -690 vertical velocity normally or -780 in Super form. The character can roll at speed, while airborne, or while charging. Hold Down/S plus Shift (also Down plus the mobile DASH button; support K) while grounded to charge a spindash: stop horizontal motion, increase a visible charge meter/state up to about 900, and show pulsing circular charge rings and a white direction arrow. Release the charge inputs to launch in the facing direction with speed based on charge, roughly 460 + 0.92*charge, with an additional Super bonus; enter rolling state. Boost pads and springs should trigger their own effects and sound cues. Super form: once the player has at least 25 rings, show a prominent banner saying “25 rings — press X or SUPER” and allow a rising-edge press of X (also L or mobile SUPER) to activate Super. Super changes the character from blue to gold/yellow with a strong pulsing yellow/white aura, leaves golden trail particles, increases movement/jump performance, and drains rings continuously at about 6 rings per second. When rings reach zero, Super ends and show “Super faded — grab more rings.” Rings are not lost from ordinary collisions because there are no hazards. Character art: draw the avatar directly in a bold outlined cartoon style. In normal standing/running form, use a blue body with lighter blue highlight, spiky quills, tan muzzle and snout, large expressive white eye with dark pupil and shine, small ear, white gloves, segmented blue arms and legs, red shoes with white cuffs, wagging tail, head/body bob, knee-bending run cycle, swinging arms, forward lean, and a mouth expression that changes at higher speed. When rolling, jumping, or charging, render a compact blue (or gold Super) ball with thick dark outline, inner highlight ring, seven spinning tucked quills, and a small face hint when slow. At high grounded speed, add white or golden speed lines and a short fading trail. Preserve the charging rings/arrow visuals around the rolling ball. HUD and controls: overlay translucent dark rounded pills at the upper left showing “Rings” with count, “Speed” with absolute horizontal speed, “Form” showing Normal, Rolling, Spindash, or Super, and “Time” in seconds. Add a translucent instruction panel explaining A/D or arrows, Space, S/Down + Shift, X at 25 rings, and audio mute. Add a speaker button at upper right; clicking it or pressing M toggles audio. On touch screens, place large translucent controls along the bottom: left, right, and down buttons on the lower left, JUMP and DASH buttons in a stack on the lower right, and a highlighted SUPER button below them. Buttons should visibly press/scale when held and support simultaneous pointer input. Show temporary translucent banners for Super readiness/activation, fading, and stage completion. Display “Blue Blur Dash” in small text near the bottom-left. Objective and completion: collect rings, build speed with running, spindash, boost pads, jumps, and springs, then reach the GOAL sign at finishX approximately worldWidth - 220. On reaching it, stop normal gameplay, record the finish time, decelerate the player, display a banner like “Stage clear — [time]s. Press R to restart,” and play a finish sound. Press R or Space after completion to reset all player state, restore all rings, and restart the timer. Begin a looping generated background music track after the first keyboard or pointer input, with sound effects for jump/landing, ring pickup, charge, dash, boost, spring, Super activation, and finish; mute should pause music and suppress effects. Keep the art colorful, clean, and arcade-like, with no debug UI.
