UNO No Mercy was built by njdewitt13 with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Read the build brief for UNO No Mercy

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Rebuild a browser-based interactive soundboard game titled “UNO No Mercy,” subtitled “SOUNDBOARD EDITION.” This is not a card-playing simulation: the core experience is pressing colorful UNO-themed taunt cards to trigger spoken taunts, count deliveries, and optionally record/play the player’s own voice. Use a single responsive page with a bold retro arcade/card aesthetic. The reference view shows a very dark navy/purple page with a centered large multicolor “UNO NO MERCY” heading, a “SOUNDBOARD EDITION” subtitle, a rounded outlined counter reading “TAUNTS DELIVERED: 0,” three large outlined controls (“RANDOM TAUNT,” “TAUNT ALL,” and “RESET SCORE”), and a 4-column by 3-row visible card layout. The implementation styles also establish a retro variant: a centered framed container, heavy black and white borders, bright UNO-inspired red, orange/yellow, teal/blue, and dark green cards, Impact/Arial Black or pixel/arcade typography, hard offset shadows, uppercase labels, hover lift/shine effects, and playful brief flash animation when a card is activated. Preserve the bright card-themed, inviting layout described by the updated style: each taunt is displayed in a large card-like button with a vivid background and high-contrast bold label.

Create exactly 100 taunt entries in the data set. Each entry has spoken text, a short uppercase card label (some labels use line breaks), and one of four colors. Include the actual phrases represented in the source such as “YOU’RE CHEATING!”, “NO MERCY!”, “DRAW FOUR!”, “UNO!”, “SKIP!”, “REVERSE!”, “WILD!”, “STACKING?”, “ILLEGAL!”, “PENALTY!”, “HAND ’EM OVER!”, “CALL BS!”, “BUSTED!”, “RULES!”, “DRAW TWO!”, “WILD +4!”, “NO STACK!”, “MERCY DENIED!”, “CHEATER!”, “DRAW ONE!”, “COLOR CHANGE!”, “DRAW TILL DROP!”, “DRAW FIVE!”, “SHOW CARDS!”, “DRAW OR LOSE!”, “LOSER UNO!”, “FOUR TAKE!”, “SWITCH WILD!”, “BANNED STACK!”, “PAY PRICE!”, “HERE NO RULES!”, “CAUGHT CHEAT!”, “ILLEGAL STACK!”, “DRAWN WILD!”, “NOW REVERSE!”, “TURN SKIP!”, “CALLED UNO!”, “MOVE ILLEGAL!”, “THE CHEATER!”, “THE WILD!”, “IT REVERSE!”, and similar repeated UNO/cheating/penalty/skip/reverse/wild/draw taunts until there are 100. Arrange them in a responsive grid: many compact columns on desktop, two columns on narrow/mobile screens. Cards should have rounded or strongly framed edges, bold uppercase centered text, text shadow, a black offset shadow, and a small microphone control in the upper-right corner.

Interaction rules: clicking a taunt immediately cancels currently playing speech/audio, speaks that taunt using browser SpeechSynthesis, increments “TAUNTS DELIVERED” by one, updates a status line with either “TTS: [phrase]” or “YOUR VOICE: [phrase],” and briefly overlays a translucent white flash over the grid. Replace the spoken pronunciation of “UNO” with “YOO-NO” and “UNO No Mercy” with “YOO-NO NO MERCY” so the browser voice says the card-game name correctly. If speech synthesis is unavailable, show a clear browser-support message. The Random Taunt button chooses one of the 100 entries and plays it. Taunt All plays entries sequentially about 1.1 seconds apart and should not start a second sequence while audio/speech is already active. Reset Score returns the counter to zero and briefly reports “Score reset.” Escape cancels speech/audio and any active recording. Support keyboard shortcuts: R for random taunt, A for all taunts, and number keys 1–9 for the first nine cards.

Add the actual controls shown by the source UI, while keeping them compact and consistent with the retro card frame: a “PAUSE AUTO UNO” button; a countdown panel reading “NEXT AUTO UNO: mm:ss”; voice selection populated from available English browser voices with an “Auto (best natural)” option; SPEED slider from 0.7 to 1.3 defaulting to 0.95; PITCH slider from 0.8 to 1.3 defaulting to 1.00. Persist selected voice, speed, and pitch in local storage. Automatically trigger the specific “UNO!” taunt at a random interval between 60 and 120 seconds, restart the interval after it fires, and show “AUTO UNO!” in the status. The pause button freezes the timer and changes to “RESUME AUTO UNO,” while resume continues using the remaining time. A status/help line should communicate the 100-taunt count and shortcuts, such as “100 TAUNTS • AUTO UNO EVERY 1–2 MINUTES • SEARCH OR MIC • R=RANDOM A=ALL.”

Include search functionality above the card grid with a text input placeholder like “SEARCH... (DRAW, CHEAT, UNO)” and a CLEAR button. Filter cards live by their visible label/title and show a status such as “Showing [count] of 100 taunts matching “[query]”.” Clearing restores all cards. The small microphone icon on each card must stop the card click from firing and use getUserMedia plus MediaRecorder to record up to roughly 5.5 seconds for that particular taunt. Show recording state with a pulsing red mic/card treatment, save the resulting WebM blob in memory, mark the card as having a recording with a bright outline, automatically play the recording after saving, and use the player’s recording instead of TTS on later card clicks. Provide a larger “🎤 RECORD” button for a freeform recording of up to about 6 seconds that immediately plays back. Include clear status messages for permission denial, unsupported microphones, recording progress, and saved recordings. Include a way to clear all voice recordings and reset their card states if space permits.

Also include the source’s optional “LIVE VIDEO REPLAY” studio below the soundboard. It has two video elements side by side or stacked responsively: a live muted camera preview and a recorded replay player. Add START CAMERA, RECORD VIDEO, STOP, PLAY REPLAY, and DOWNLOAD CLIP controls plus a saved-clips dropdown. START CAMERA requests camera and microphone permission and enables video recording; RECORD VIDEO captures the live camera stream with MediaRecorder while the player uses the soundboard; STOP finalizes a WebM replay; PLAY REPLAY plays it from the beginning; DOWNLOAD CLIP downloads it as an “uno-no-mercy-[timestamp].webm” file. Save completed clips in browser IndexedDB and populate the saved-clips selector with clip numbers/times; selecting a saved clip loads it into the replay player. Clearly report camera off, permission errors, recording, replay-ready, and storage status. Disable controls until their prerequisites are met.

Use a centered responsive container with a footer disclaimer such as “UNO No Mercy • For fun only • No real cards harmed” or “UNO SHOW ’EM NO MERCY • SOUNDBOARD.” Keep the page fun, loud, and inviting rather than realistic: thick borders, high-contrast card colors, uppercase arcade typography, playful hover shine/lift, pulsing recording indicators, and no 3D world or camera gameplay. Ensure all controls remain usable on mobile, with the main visual priority being the colorful grid of taunt cards and the prominent taunts-delivered counter.
