Make your own game

Lucky Lantern was built by Julien Gislais with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Lucky Lantern opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Lucky Lantern

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a responsive browser slot-machine game titled “Lucky Lantern,” with no real-money betting. Use a centered, single-screen casino interface on a dark radial-gradient background (deep navy/purple fading almost black) with a compact top bar. Put the gold, uppercase, letter-spaced brand “LUCKY LANTERN” on the left; on the right show rounded dark wallet pills labeled “Balance” and “Win,” with their numeric values in gold. The initial balance is 1000, the current bet is 25, and the last win is 0.

The main machine is a large rounded rectangular panel with a purple/plum gradient, lavender-purple border, subtle inner highlight, and heavy dark shadow. Add a faint pink glow accent behind the upper portion. At the top of the panel, center a large white “JACKPOT” heading with a purple shadow/glow and the subtitle “Three reels. One lucky pull.” in pale lavender.

Below, create three equally sized reel windows in a horizontal row, with rounded corners, thick gold outer borders, darker brown inset borders, and a raised lower shadow. Each window displays one large emoji-style slot symbol centered inside. The five possible symbols and their triple-match multipliers are: cherries 🍒 = 2x, bell 🔔 = 4x, star ⭐️ = 8x, diamond 💎 = 15x, and clover 🍀 = 3x. Initialize the visible reels to cherry, bell, diamond. The paytable at the bottom visibly lists only the four combinations shown in the original interface: 🍒🍒🍒 2x, 🔔🔔🔔 4x, ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 8x, and 💎💎💎 15x, styled as small dark rounded pills with purple outlines and gold multiplier text.

Under the reels, show a centered status message initially reading “Pick your bet and spin the reels.” Use gold for the neutral status, mint/green for wins, and pale pink for losses. The controls should include a circular purple minus button, centered text “Bet 25,” and a circular purple plus button, along with a prominent wide pill-shaped gold/orange gradient “SPIN” button. Give the spin button a darker orange bottom shadow and a pressed state that moves it down. Also show the hint “Space spin” and “Match 3 = jackpot.” On narrow mobile screens, stack the controls with the SPIN button first and make it full width; keep the three reels in a row and scale them down.

Implement the exact game rules: clicking SPIN or pressing Space starts a spin unless one is already in progress. If balance is less than the bet, do not spin and show “Not enough chips — lower your bet.” in the loss style. Otherwise subtract the bet immediately, set last win to 0, disable the spin button, show “The lantern is spinning…” and visually mark all reels as spinning with a slight blur/scale effect. For 900 milliseconds, repeatedly assign each of the three reels a random symbol and render it, creating a rapidly changing animation. At the end, re-enable the button and evaluate the final three indices: three equal symbols pay bet multiplied by that symbol’s multiplier; exactly any matching pair pays the original bet back; otherwise the win is 0. Add the win to balance and display it as last win. For a triple, show “Jackpot! You won [win] chips.”; for a pair show “Nice pair — [win] chips back.”; and for no match show “No match this time. Try another pull.” If balance reaches zero, replace the result with “Out of chips — lower your bet or refresh to restart.”

The minus and plus controls only work while not spinning. Decrease/increase the bet in steps of 5, clamped from 5 through 100. Keep all text and values updated live. Use bold rounded system UI typography, high contrast white/gold/lavender text, glossy gold controls, purple panels, and emoji symbols with drop shadows to evoke a playful neon casino/lantern aesthetic. Include the footer disclaimer: “A small original browser casino game — no real-money betting.”
