Nobody has said anything about Life Lane yet. Play it, then tell Jennifer Braden what you would add next.
Life Lane was built by Jennifer Braden with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Life Lane opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a responsive, touch-friendly life-board game titled “Life Lane.” Use a warm cream/beige page background, dark plum text, rounded white translucent cards with subtle borders and shadows, and bright pastel accents (lavender/purple, pink, blue, green, yellow). The visual style is a clean playful 2D web UI using large readable Arial-like typography, emoji icons, rounded buttons, and no illustrated game world beyond the board and panels. On launch, show a full-screen dark translucent overlay with a centered cream rounded modal titled “Life Lane.” Include the subtitle/message: “Build a life one turn at a time. Date, fall in love, choose a career, get engaged, marry, grow your family, and see where your choices take you.” Provide three large stacked choice buttons: “🎨 Start creative — a little less money, lots of joy,” “💼 Start ambitious — chase the big paycheck,” and “🗺️ Start adventurous — follow the unexpected.” Choosing one dismisses the intro, records the chosen beginning, and initializes the stats as follows: creative starts with0k and happiness 78; ambitious starts with7k and happiness 64; adventurous starts with1k and happiness 74. The default pre-start display isk, +1 happiness). 6. Age 34, 🍼 “Growing family”: “A new chapter is calling. What does family mean to you?” Choices: “Have a child” (-$5k, +16 happiness), “Adopt a pet” (-2k, happiness 70, age 18. The main screen has a top header reading “Life Lane” and the tagline “Tiny choices. Big milestones.” Show pill-shaped stat badges for money (💰), happiness (😊), and current age (📍), with values such as “k, +4 happiness), “Focus on your goals” (+$5k, -1 happiness). 3. Age 25, 💼 “Career crossroads”: “A new opportunity appears. It could change your whole routine.” Choices: “Take the promotion” (+2k,” “70,” and “18 yrs.” Below, use a responsive layout: a large “Your journey” board card and a right-side control/status panel on desktop; stack them vertically on screens narrower than about 800px. The journey card includes a progress meter and a horizontally scrollable pastel tile track. Lay out 11 tiles in a five-column grid with a minimum width so the track can scroll on mobile. Each tile is rounded, bordered, and alternates among pink, blue, green, yellow, and white pastel backgrounds. Every tile displays an age, a large emoji, and a bold label. The tiles are: - age 18, 🚦, “Start”; - age 18, 🎓, “First big decision”; - age 21, 💬, “A new connection”; - age 25, 💼, “Career crossroads”; - age 28, 💍, “The question”; - age 30, 💒, “A day to remember”; - age 34, 🍼, “Growing family”; - age 40, 🏡, “The reset button”; - age 50, 🌟, “Midlife moment”; - age 65, 🌅, “Your legacy”; - age 65+, 🌅, “Retirement”. Highlight the current tile with a thick purple inset outline and place a small purple circular pawn with a white border in its upper-right corner. The progress bar should represent current tile position over the path through the retirement tile. The side panel starts with “Start your life,” an event card showing 🌱, “Ready when you are,” and “Roll the wheel and make choices that shape your story.” Add a prominent purple button labeled “🎲 Roll the wheel” and a secondary white outlined “↻ Start over” button. Add a scrollable event log below, hidden on narrow mobile layouts. Once a starting style is selected, change the event panel to a 🎲 prompt telling the player to roll their first turn. Core gameplay: pressing Roll randomly advances the player by 1, 2, or 3 spaces. Update the age to the landed tile’s age (18 at start, milestone ages on milestone tiles, and 70 after the final/retirement tile), update the highlighted pawn and progress bar, and whenever the player lands on one of the nine milestone tiles, open a centered full-screen dark translucent choice overlay. The milestone sequence and exact choice data are: 1. Age 18, 🎓 “First big decision”: “School is behind you. What do you want next?” Choices: “Take a creative path” (+$4k, +8 happiness), “Start a business” (+$7k, +3 happiness), “Travel for a year” (+k, +10 happiness). 2. Age 21, 💬 “A new connection”: “You meet someone at a friend’s party. How do you respond?” Choices: “Ask them on a date” (+$0k, +10 happiness), “Keep it casual” (+0k, -2 happiness), “Choose more free time” (+$3k, +8 happiness), “Switch careers” (+$5k, +5 happiness). 4. Age 28, 💍 “The question”: “Your relationship is getting serious. What feels right?” Choices: “Get engaged” (-k, +12 happiness), “Move in together” (+$3k, +8 happiness), “Take things slowly” (+k, +4 happiness). 5. Age 30, 💒 “A day to remember”: “Today is your wedding day — if you choose it.” Choices: “Have a big celebration” (-$8k, +16 happiness), “Have a small ceremony” (-k, +12 happiness), “Skip the wedding for now” (+k, +8 happiness), “Keep life flexible” (+$4k, +4 happiness). 7. Age 40, 🏡 “The reset button”: “You have earned the chance to shape the next decade.” Choices: “Buy a home” (-8k, +10 happiness), “Move somewhere new” (-$6k, +13 happiness), “Keep renting and invest” (+2k, +5 happiness). 8. Age 50, 🌟 “Midlife moment”: “Looking back, what are you proudest of?” Choices: “People I love” (+$0k, +18 happiness), “What I built” (+5k, +5 happiness), “The adventures” (+$4k, +14 happiness). 9. Age 65, 🌅 “Your legacy”: “The lane opens into a final view of the life you made.” Choices: “Share your wisdom” (+$3k, +12 happiness), “Celebrate every memory” (+$0k, +18 happiness), “Plan one last adventure” (-$4k, +15 happiness). Each choice must clamp money at a minimum of $0k and happiness between 0 and 100, then close the overlay, append a log entry like “🎓 Age 18: Take a creative path.”, and show an event card saying the choice changes the road ahead. After the final milestone choice, or after reaching the retirement tile, end the game. Set the side heading to “Your story,” change the main button to “🏁 Life complete,” and show a 🌅 event card with one of these exact result messages: if happiness is at least 88, “You made a joyful, people-first life.”; otherwise if money is at least $35k, “You made a prosperous life full of bold bets.”; otherwise, “You made a colorful life with plenty of stories.” Include final Money and Happiness values and “Tap start over to play a different life.” Add a final log entry beginning “🏁 Your final chapter:”. Disable further rolling after completion. The Start over button must reset all state to the initial values, restore the intro modal, rebuild the board at the starting tile, and clear the log. Keep the UI highly legible and playable with mouse or touch, using large rounded controls, compact mobile spacing, and CSS transitions for the progress meter. Do not add combat, inventories, 3D scenes, external assets, or mechanics beyond the described random movement, life choices, stats, milestones, log, and endings.More free browser games
