Make your own game

Last Hand was built by EYMEN with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Last Hand opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Last Hand

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a polished single-player local pass-and-play-style survival card game titled “LAST HAND,” presented as a cinematic tabletop battle. The game is played against AI opponents; the player chooses their avatar, environment, and total player count on a dark glassmorphism setup screen, then fights until only one character remains alive.

Overall presentation: use a full-screen 2D canvas behind a fixed HTML-style HUD. The visual style is premium, dark, cinematic, and atmospheric: navy/black backgrounds, translucent rounded panels with blur, thin pale borders, warm gold highlights, cyan accents, serif display typography for the title and victory modal, and compact uppercase sans-serif labels. Add subtle ambient particles/stars and environmental backdrop motifs. The title screen should have a centered translucent rounded panel with the eyebrow “A CINEMATIC SURVIVAL CARD GAME,” very large cream/gold serif title “LAST HAND,” subtitle “PLAY YOUR CARDS. PROTECT YOURSELF. SURVIVE.”, and controls for Avatar (Human or Alien), Environment (Space, House, Cafe, Casino), Players (2, 3, 4), plus PLAY and SETTINGS buttons. Default selections are Human, Space, and 2. Include the small hint “Local single-player match — AI seats adapt to your play.” Settings may simply show a presentation/settings notice rather than opening a complex settings system.

In the match, show a large elliptical green-felt survival table in the center, with a dark rim, gold outline, shadow, and a subtle translucent rectangular marking at its center. Arrange up to four seats around the table: the human player is at the bottom/front and is slightly larger; AI seats are around the left, top, and right edges as needed. Draw simple stylized human and alien avatars: humans have warm skin, dark hair, navy clothing and simple facial features; aliens have teal skin, dark almond-shaped eyes with glowing cyan pupils and teal clothing. Each seat also has a small rounded survival-device rectangle on the table, with a glowing status light; eliminated devices become dark/gray. Living avatars show their name and HP below them, while eliminated avatars fade and are labeled ELIMINATED. During AI turns, show “THINKING…” above that avatar. Use names such as YOU, Vega, Morrow, and Iris, and AI personalities such as AGGRESSIVE, DEFENSIVE, TACTICAL, RISKY, or CHAOTIC in the status board.

HUD during play: at the top, show badges for “LAST HAND” plus the selected environment label (ORBITAL LOUNGE for Space, THE OLD WILLOW HOUSE for House, MIDNIGHT CAFÉ for Cafe, THE AURELIA CASINO for Casino), the current turn (“YOUR TURN” or “[AI NAME] IS THINKING”), and the round number. On the upper left, show a translucent “SURVIVAL BOARD” panel listing every player with alive/eliminated marker, personality, current HP, and a horizontal HP bar. On the upper right, show a compact scrolling combat log with recent events. At bottom center, show the player’s hand of five large, selectable, glossy illustrated cards. At bottom right provide PASS and MENU buttons.

At the start of each match, create the human plus the selected number of total seats, give every player 100 HP and a hand of five randomly drawn cards from the seven-card pool, and begin on the human’s turn. The player may click a card to select it; selected cards lift upward and brighten. Clicking the selected card again/using it plays it. The player can instead press PASS to hold their cards and advance the turn. When a card is played, immediately replace it with a random draw so the hand remains five cards. Use a brief animated card projectile: a glowing card travels in an arc from the acting avatar toward the target or center of the table, with a pulse/impact effect. Add light synthesized UI/action sounds if supported.

Implement exactly these seven card types and effects:
- ATTACK, lightning icon: deal 22 damage to another player.
- DEFENSE, prism/diamond icon: grant the actor a 20-point damage block shield; the next attack consumes the shield and has its damage reduced by 20.
- REPAIR, sparkle icon: restore 18 HP to the actor, capped at 100.
- REFLECT, angled arrow icon: arm a reflective field represented mechanically as a 16-point defense shield; the next attack’s damage is reduced by 16.
- TRAP, squiggle icon: prime a hidden 28-damage ambush; the next attack received by that player adds 28 damage, then consumes the trap.
- STEAL, diamond icon: drain up to 12 HP from a target and heal the actor by 8 HP, capped at 100.
- CHAOS, starburst icon: deal a random 10–35 damage shockwave to a target.

For targeted offensive cards (ATTACK, STEAL, CHAOS), automatically choose a living opponent rather than requiring a target-selection screen: generally favor the lowest-HP opponent, with AI personality variation. Self-only cards (DEFENSE, REPAIR, REFLECT, TRAP) affect the acting player. Do not allow actions while it is not the human’s turn or while an action animation is resolving. Damage lowers HP; when HP reaches zero, mark the player eliminated, fade their avatar/device, log the elimination, and skip them in future turns. Continue cycling through living players. Increase the round when play returns to the human. The last living player wins.

AI behavior: each opponent should pause briefly with THINKING… before acting, then choose one of its cards using a personality-influenced heuristic plus some randomness. Defensive AI should favor DEFENSE at low HP, aggressive AI should favor ATTACK/STEAL/CHAOS, risky AI should favor TRAP, tactical AI should favor REFLECT, and all AI should favor REPAIR when badly hurt. Log a short consideration message such as “Vega considers attack...” before resolving the card. The combat log should include readable messages such as “YOU strikes Vega for 22,” “Morrow raises a prism shield,” “Iris repairs the survival device,” “Vega primes a hidden trap,” “CHAOS surges into YOU for 27,” and elimination notices.

When one player remains, open a centered translucent victory modal. If the human wins, show “YOU SURVIVED” and text explaining that every rival device is silent and the last hand belongs to the player. Otherwise show “TABLE LOST” and identify the winning opponent with text encouraging the player to read the tells and deal again. Include PLAY AGAIN and MAIN MENU buttons. The game should be responsive: on narrow screens, shrink the cards and panels while preserving the central table and readable controls. Environment visuals should vary only as shown: Space uses blue orbital-window bands and cyan stars; House uses warm brown tones and soft circular lights; Cafe uses purple/maroon tones with hanging warm lamps; Casino uses deep violet/burgundy tones with gold and pink lights.
