Make your own game

Idle Mine was built by Albert Brownlee with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Idle Mine opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Idle Mine

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a responsive single-page idle/clicker game titled “Idle Mine.” Use a dark navy mining-dashboard aesthetic with a subtle radial blue glow background, rounded navy panels, thin blue-gray borders, soft shadows, white headings, muted blue-gray secondary text, and warm gold/yellow for ore values and the main mining action. Use system sans-serif typography and emoji icons.

Layout: center an app container with a header, a main content area, and a footer. On wider screens, make the main area a two-column grid with the mine panel wider than the upgrade shop (roughly 1.2fr/0.8fr); on narrow/mobile screens stack the panels vertically. The header should show a pickaxe emoji and “Idle Mine,” with the subtitle “Dig deep. Build a crew. Watch the ore pile up.” On the right show two stats: “ORE” and “PER SEC,” with the current ore total and automatic production rate in gold. Format values as whole numbers below 1,000, one decimal plus k below 1,000,000, and two decimals plus m at larger values.

The mine panel is titled “THE COPPER VEIN” and contains a large rock emoji 🪨 as the ore target, a prominent gold gradient button labeled “MINE +1,” and the hint “Tap the rock to mine manually” followed by “or let your crew work for you.” Clicking/tapping the button grants 1 ore plus the current Better pickaxe level. Animate the rock briefly shrinking and rotating on hit, and spawn a gold floating “+amount” text near the click location that rises and fades out. The panel has a subtle radial gold glow behind the mining area.

The game has three purchasable upgrades in a scrollable “Mine upgrades” shop. Under the heading, show “Spend ore to increase your automatic production.” Each rounded upgrade row has an icon, name, effect, current ownership/level, and a Buy button with the current cost:
- “🧑‍🏭 Hire a miner”: +1 ore per second, showing “Owned: 0” initially. Initial cost 25 ore. Each purchase increases miners by one and the cost is floor(25 * 1.32^number already owned).
- “⚙️ Better pickaxe”: +1 ore per click, showing “Level: 0” initially. Initial cost 40 ore. Each purchase increases pickaxe level by one and the cost is floor(40 * 1.55^current level).
- “🛒 Ore cart”: +5% miner speed, showing “Level: 0” initially. Initial cost 100 ore. Each purchase increases cart level by one and the cost is floor(100 * 1.8^current level).
Disable Buy buttons when the player cannot afford them, and make affordable buttons visibly active. Automatic production rate is miners * (1 + cart level * 0.05), displayed to one decimal place. Once miners are hired, add ore continuously in real time using a frame loop, with a delta-time cap of 0.25 seconds.

Persist the game in local storage under an idle-mine save key, including ore, miners, pickaxe level, cart level, and timestamp. On startup, calculate offline earnings based on elapsed time since the prior save, capped at 8 hours, and award them when the player had a positive production rate (only apply the offline gain for elapsed time over two seconds). Save automatically after gains and purchases and update the timestamp. Include a footer saying “Progress saves automatically” and an underlined “Reset mine” button; clicking reset should ask for confirmation “Reset all mining progress?” and, if confirmed, restore all values to zero. Keep the interface touch-friendly, with pointer/touch interactions and visible pressed states for the mine and buy buttons. The initial state is 0 ore, 0 miners, pickaxe level 0, cart level 0, and 0.0 ore per second.
