Make your own game

Ice Rush was built by apolorulz10 with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Ice Rush opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Ice Rush

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a responsive 2D top-down arcade ice-hockey game titled “ICE RUSH,” rendered on a full-screen canvas with a dark navy-to-blue vertical gradient background. Center a large rounded-rectangle pale ice rink with a soft dark drop shadow; scale it responsively to the viewport while leaving room for the HUD and touch controls. The rink should have thin red center line, blue vertical lines at approximately 27% and 73% of rink width, a faint blue center-faceoff circle, red semicircular offensive-zone arcs near each end, and translucent red goal creases at both ends. Draw red outlined goals extending just outside the rink on the left and right.

The player is a small stylized blue skater positioned in the left half of the rink, with a cyan-blue oval body, pale helmet/head circle toward the facing direction, and two dark skate marks beneath. The player can move freely in four directions using WASD or arrow keys, and should face the last movement direction. Movement is direct skating at about 410 pixels/second with friction when no key is held, and the player must remain inside the rink with a small margin. Start each period/round with the player near 25% rink width at center height, holding the puck just in front of them.

The opposing skater is a red/pink oval character with a pale helmet and dark skate marks, initially around 67% rink width at center height. Have a simple AI continuously pursue the puck when it is loose, pursue the player while the player owns it, and move toward the left side to attack when it owns the puck. Keep the rival constrained to the rink. Add an orange circular goalie with a dark rectangular face mask at the right goal; it tracks the puck vertically within the goal mouth and is clamped to the goal width.

The puck is a small dark flattened oval. While the player owns it, keep it about 23 pixels in front of the player’s facing direction. Press Space, K, or the on-screen SHOOT button to shoot only when the player has the puck and is not on a short cooldown: release possession and launch the puck in the facing direction at high speed (about 760 pixels/second). Apply strong drag to a loose puck, bounce it from the top, bottom, and left rink boundaries, and allow the player or rival to reclaim it when it slows and they are close. If the player and rival collide while the player has possession, transfer the puck to the rival. When the rival owns it, display it in front of the rival; when the rival reaches the attacking left side, make it release/shoot the puck rapidly toward the left, with some vertical aim variation. The right goal awards a player goal when the loose puck crosses the right boundary inside the central goal-mouth opening. Increment the player score, show a brief “GOAL!” message, reset positions after about one second, and preserve the score. Include the first-to-three win condition and end state: when either score reaches 3, stop gameplay and show either “YOU WIN! Tap or press R to restart” or “RIVAL WINS
Tap or press R to restart”; tapping or pressing R restarts at 0–0. Also support a brief “RIVAL GOAL” round message if an opponent goal event is represented, but do not add mechanics or power-ups beyond this simple puck game.

Use a clean flat vector/canvas art style with rounded shapes, soft shadows, ice-blue, cyan, coral-red, orange, and navy colors. Overlay a fixed HUD: at the top center, a dark translucent rounded panel with a small letter-spaced cyan “ICE RUSH” title and a large white score formatted “0 — 0”; at the bottom center, a dark translucent hint reading “WASD / arrows to skate · Space to shoot · first to 3.” On touch devices, provide a translucent four-button directional D-pad at bottom-left (up arrow above left/down/right) and a large circular gold-bordered brown “SHOOT” button at bottom-right. Buttons should respond to pointer/touch hold for movement and pointer press for shooting. On wider screens make the controls semi-transparent but allow them to become more visible on hover. Keep the camera fixed overhead with no scrolling.
