Make your own game

Ice Breaker was built by apolorulz10 with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Ice Breaker opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Ice Breaker

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a responsive browser arcade hockey game titled “Ice Breaker,” presented as a fixed top-down 2D rink view that fills the screen. Use a dark navy broadcast-style interface around a bright icy-blue rink. The playfield is a rounded rectangular rink with pale ice, a blue outer border, a red center line, a blue center faceoff circle, two smaller blue faceoff circles, and red/blue goal areas at the left and right ends. Keep the camera stationary and scale the rink to the canvas/container.

The player controls a blue circular skater on the left side, wearing a light helmet/face area, jersey number “07,” and dark skate marks/shadow beneath. The opponent is a red/pink skater on the right, with light helmet/face area, jersey number “91,” and the same stylized shadow and skates. A dark puck with a white outline moves around the rink and leaves a short fading trail. Use simple clean vector/canvas shapes, bold team colors, subtle shadows, and a cool sports-broadcast aesthetic.

Core gameplay: begin on an overlay card titled “ICE BREAKER” with the instruction that the player should take the puck, beat the opponent, and score five goals before the computer. The main button says “DROP THE PUCK.” When clicked, reset the score to 0–0, place the blue player at approximately (250,310), the CPU at (760,310), and serve the puck from center (500,310), briefly displaying “FACEOFF.” The player moves with WASD or arrow keys; also provide large on-screen touch buttons for up, left, down, right, and a yellow “SHOOT” button. Prevent browser scrolling while using these controls.

Movement should feel smooth and accelerated rather than instant: the player skates within the rink, moving up to about 250 units/second, while the CPU automatically chases the puck (or returns toward its side when the puck is left of center) at about 165 units/second. The puck has friction, bounces off the top and bottom rink boundaries, and is knocked away when it comes within roughly 40 pixels of either skater. The player can only shoot when close to the puck (within roughly 78 pixels) and not during the faceoff delay. Pressing Space or the on-screen SHOOT button launches the puck away from the player in the direction from the player to the puck. Shot speed is based on a charge meter: while the player is actively skating, charge the meter from an initial 18% up to 100%; shooting consumes the charge and resets it to 18%. Make the shot faster as charge increases, approximately 380 + charge*5.

Goals occur when the puck crosses beyond the left or right rink boundary. A right-side goal increases the player’s ICE score and shows “ICE SCORES!”; a left-side goal increases the CPU’s FROST score and shows “FROST SCORES.” Flash the rink briefly with a translucent yellow goal effect, then reset the puck for another serve. The first side to reach 5 goals ends the match. Show an end overlay reading “YOU WIN!” if the player leads, otherwise “FINAL HORN,” with the final score and a “PLAY AGAIN” button that resets the match.

HUD: place “ICE BREAKER” branding at top left with small “ARCADE LEAGUE · QUICK MATCH” text. At top right show a dark rounded score panel labeled “ICE,” player score, a colon, opponent score, and “FROST.” Beneath it show “PERIOD 1 · 02:00.” Center near the top show a dark rounded “SHOT POWER” panel with a horizontal gradient meter from blue through yellow to red and a numeric percentage such as “18%.” Along the bottom show the hint “Skate to the puck · SHOOT when close” on desktop, plus the directional touch controls and yellow SHOOT control. Use a dark navy background outside the rink, rounded translucent panels, cyan borders/highlights, bold sans-serif typography, and responsive sizing for mobile screens.
