Hardcourt Goats was built by njdewitt13 with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Hardcourt Goats opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a browser-based arcade basketball game titled “Hardcourt Goats,” rendered in a single full-screen canvas with an HTML/CSS HUD over it. The game should be lightweight and work well on desktop and mobile, with a stylized pseudo-3D/isometric court rather than a realistic 3D engine. Use a dark navy-to-blue vertical gradient background, a small dim crowd made from scattered colored dots near the top, and a warm orange-brown basketball court centered in the play area. The court is a trapezoid in perspective: narrower at the far/top edge and wider at the bottom, with cream boundary lines, a center line, a center circle, and hoops/backboards on both sides. Draw simple cartoon basketball players as flat shapes: colored rectangular jerseys, circular skin-tone heads, dark hair strips, outstretched arms, dark oval shadows, and white jersey numbers. Show three players on court: the selected hero, a blue teammate marked M, and a red opposing defender marked D. The orange basketball follows the hero while moving and sits near the teammate after a pass. Build the playable loop around one controlled hero and a score against rivals. Start with GAME 1/12, YOU 0, RIVALS 0, and W 0 in the top HUD. Include a top-left “Hardcourt Goats” brand, with “Goats” orange, and top-right dark stat pills for game number, player score, rival score, and wins. Center a translucent dark message panel near the top reading “PI MODE READY” and “Lightweight court renderer for Raspberry Pi.” Update it with action feedback such as “LASER PASS.”, “SHOT CLOCK TICKING.”, “SPLASH.”, “OFF THE RIM.”, “POSTER DUNK.”, “GET CLOSER.”, “STEAL.”, “REACHING FOUL.”, “BIG BLOCK.”, and “LATE CONTEST.”, each with a short explanatory subtitle. The user controls the hero with WASD or arrow keys; constrain movement to the court with normalized diagonal movement. Also provide a visible mobile D-pad with up/left/right/down buttons. Include clickable action controls: PASS (P), SHOOT (Space), DUNK (D), STEAL (S), BLOCK (B), and NEXT (N). Pass moves the teammate closer to the hero and transfers the ball to the teammate, showing a blue particle burst. Dunk only succeeds when the hero is sufficiently far to the right (x greater than roughly 66% of the court width) and then succeeds probabilistically based on the selected legend’s dunk rating; on success award 2 points and show “POSTER DUNK.”, otherwise show “GET CLOSER.” Shooting is a two-stage timing mechanic: first press starts shooting and displays a pulsing ring around the hero plus a meter that oscillates between 0 and 1; press again to release. A release in the green middle timing zone has improved odds. On a successful shot, award 3 points when the hero is on the left half and 2 points otherwise, show “SPLASH.” and green particles; on failure add 2 rival points and show “OFF THE RIM.” Captain Clutch gets a small shooting bonus. Steal has about a 52% success chance, with The Professor receiving an extra bonus; success shows “STEAL.”, failure adds one rival point and shows “REACHING FOUL.” Block succeeds about 55% of the time; failure adds 2 rival points and shows “LATE CONTEST.” Add colored square particle bursts for successful plays, fade them out, and animate the defender gradually tracking toward the hero. At the bottom-left, add a dark “Legend lineup” panel with three selectable cards: Air Atlas (orange avatar, jersey number 7, “Sky hook specialist,” “Dunk range”), Captain Clutch (light-blue avatar, number 11, “Shot-clock sniper,” “Late-game boost”), and The Professor (pale-green avatar, number 3, “Handles for days,” “Steal chance”). Highlight the selected card with an orange border. Switching cards is allowed during live play and updates the hero color/number and displays a checked-in message. At the bottom-right, add a dark “On-court controls” panel with six large buttons in a 3-column grid; make SHOOT blue, DUNK orange, and the others pale. Add a small bottom instruction line on desktop: “Move: WASD / arrows · Pass P · Shoot Space · Dunk D · Steal S · Block B · Next N”. On small screens stack the panels across the lower area, show the D-pad, hide the instruction hint, and keep touch interactions responsive. Implement NEXT to reset score and rival score, advance the game number from 1 through 12 and wrap back to 1, reset the hero and ball positions, clear any cheated state, and show “NEXT GAME.” / “Fresh matchup loaded in Pi mode.” Keep the visual style dark, compact, high-contrast, and arcade-like, with cream text, muted blue-gray panel borders, orange highlights, and responsive CSS HUD panels over the canvas.
