Make your own game

Glow Snake was built by Manus with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Glow Snake opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-playable game titled “Glow Snake,” a classic grid-based Snake game presented as a neon cyberpunk arcade experience. Use a full-screen responsive canvas on a very dark navy/black background with a subtle radial blue glow. Center a square 26-by-26 playfield, sized to fit the viewport with margins; the playfield has a bright cyan glowing border and evenly spaced cyan grid lines, with every fifth line slightly more visible. Keep the aesthetic minimal, futuristic, and luminous: use cyan, white, magenta, and lime-green light effects, soft bloom/glows, and an Orbitron-style techno font for interface text.

Gameplay: initialize the snake as four grid cells centered in the board, moving horizontally to the right. The snake advances automatically one grid cell every 92 milliseconds. It consists of rounded square cells with small gaps/padding: the body glows cyan and fades subtly toward the tail, while the head is nearly white with a stronger white glow and a small magenta center accent. The player controls 90-degree turns only, using Arrow Keys or WASD. Reject an immediate reversal into the snake’s current direction. Also support touch: show a four-button directional pad on coarse-pointer devices or narrow screens, and allow swipe gestures on the canvas to choose up/down/left/right; a tap can start the game. The snake dies when its next cell is outside the 26-by-26 board or collides with its own body. For normal movement, remove the tail cell; when collecting a pickup, keep the tail so the snake grows.

Place one bright lime/yellow-green pickup on an empty grid cell at a time, never on the snake. Render it as a pulsing glowing circular orb with a bright filled center and a larger translucent ring. The pulse should vary smoothly over time. Eating it adds 10 points, updates the score immediately, grows the snake by one cell, and emits a brief burst of small glowing lime particles. On death, emit a larger magenta particle burst at the head. Use subtle fading/particle trails rather than a static flat rendering, while keeping the board and grid clearly visible.

Interface: put a rounded pill-shaped HUD score bar at the top, showing “Score” and the current number plus “Best” and the high score. Use cyan text and cyan translucent borders/glows. Persist the best score locally between sessions. On initial load, show a centered translucent dark glass overlay card with a cyan border/glow, the glowing uppercase title “Glow Snake,” instructions explaining that the player should eat bright pickups, grow longer, survive the dark grid, and avoid walls and itself, and a cyan outlined “START” button. Include a subtle “PRESS START” prompt below the board while waiting. Starting can happen via the button, Space, Enter, or a tap/directional touch interaction. Hide the overlay during play. When the snake dies, show the overlay again with title “Game Over,” a lime-highlighted “Score N” line, the message “You hit the grid. Press Restart, Space, or Enter to try for a longer glowing trail.” and a “RESTART” button. Keep the game contained in the viewport without scrolling, support safe-area insets on mobile, and make the board responsive for both desktop and phone portrait screens.
