Courtside Career was built by Basir Biay with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Courtside Career opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Rebuild a responsive mobile-first 2D basketball career game titled “Courtside Career.” Use a full-screen HTML canvas behind a fixed HUD, with a dark navy night-sky background and a warm orange-to-brown basketball court occupying roughly the lower half. Draw a simple stylized half-court: cream boundary lines in perspective, a curved arc, a backboard near the upper-right of the court, a pale hoop/rim and curved net, and a dark blue segmented crowd/stands strip along the horizon. Keep the visual style minimalist, flat, geometric, and slightly neon/warm, matching the supplied screenshot. The game begins on a translucent dark, rounded career-mode card centered over the court. Show the title “Courtside Career,” copy explaining that the player starts as a streetball rookie and chases a championship across an 8-game season, and three stats: 8 Games, 3 Skills, 1 Dream. A “Begin Career” button opens team selection. Team selection is another centered card with “Choose your home court” and three selectable team cards: Harbor Hawks (starting fans 128 / +8 starting fans), Eastside Comets (shot skill 65 / +5 shot rating), and Northside Wolves (starting skill 60 and rival pressure 2 / +2 rival pressure). Give cards simple circular H/C/W marks with orange, cyan, and lavender colors; highlight the selected card with an orange outline. A “Join Team” button starts the career. A career consists of up to eight games, starting with GAME 1 / 8. The opponents, in order, are Harbor Hawks, Downtown Kings, Eastside Comets, Cedar City, Metro Flight, Northside Wolves, Rim Rockers, and Final Four. During gameplay, show a top-left pill reading the current game and a top-right pill reading “YOU [score] — [score] RIVALS.” Center a large status message such as “Set your feet,” “In the air...,” “BUCKET!,” or “Off the rim.” At the bottom show three large touch buttons: “AIM LEFT,” “SHOOT,” and “AIM RIGHT.” Also show the instruction “Tap SHOOT when the release marker hits the orange window.” Support keyboard controls: Space or Enter shoots, A/D or left/right arrows aim. Draw the rookie on the court in a simple geometric style: dark circular head, bright orange rectangular jersey/body labeled “ROOKIE” in white, pale rectangular legs, and a pale arm extended toward the ball. The player’s horizontal position changes as aim changes, from a central position by increments of 0.12 up to a range of -1 to +1. When not shooting, draw an orange basketball in the raised hand. On shooting, animate the ball from the player toward the hoop along a high arcing trajectory, then resolve the shot. The core mechanic is a continuously oscillating release meter visible on the canvas during games. It is a dark rounded horizontal bar near the bottom-center with an orange success window around the middle and a pale vertical marker moving left and right. The marker reverses direction at both ends. The player must tap SHOOT while the marker is in the orange window. Each shot is worth 2 points if made. Calculate a make chance based on timing and shot skill: start from 0.74, add (skill - 60) * 0.006, subtract the distance from the meter position to 0.52 multiplied by 1.2, and clamp the result between 0.18 and 0.96. Use randomness to determine the result. On a make, increase the player score by 2, add 8 fans, increase shot skill by 1 up to 99, and show “BUCKET!” On a miss, subtract 2 fans down to a minimum of 0 and show “Off the rim.” After each shot, the rival has a chance to score 2: probability is 0.42 plus pressure * 0.03. End the game as soon as either side reaches 10 points. The player wins only when their score is higher than the rival score. After each completed game show a result card. For a win, use “WIN • GAME COMPLETE,” “You showed up.” and text stating the player beat the opponent with the final score; for a loss use “LOSS • GAME COMPLETE,” “Back to the gym.” and text stating the opponent took the game. Track and display the career record, fans, and shot skill. A win adds 3 chemistry, a loss subtracts 2 chemistry, and update draft rank using the game’s progression: start at #40, subtract 4 per win, add 2 per loss, and subtract floor((skill - 60) / 3), clamped between 1 and 40. Provide “Next Game,” changing to “Finish Season” after game 8, plus “Restart Career.” After game 8, replace the normal result content with a Draft Night offer screen. Show the final draft ranking and three contract choices: Capital Royals (“Big spotlight • championship expectations,” +4 shot, +35 fans,
