Make your own game

Wrecking Shift was built by Meysam Fzt with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Wrecking Shift opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Wrecking Shift

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a portrait-friendly 3D arcade demolition game titled “Wrecking Shift.” Use Three.js-style real-time 3D rendering with a fixed perspective camera at approximately (0, 10.5, 18), looking toward (0, 4.4, 0), so the player sees a dark demolition yard from the front: three colorful rectangular block towers in the middle distance, a hanging wrecking ball in the foreground/center, and a tall crane overhead. The scene should have a deep navy background with atmospheric fog, a dark blue-gray ground plane, subtle orange translucent lane/grid stripes, soft shadows, and warm orange lighting mixed with cool blue fill light. Keep the visual style clean, low-poly, stylized, and polished rather than photorealistic.

Gameplay: the player aims a suspended black wrecking ball horizontally, then releases it to swing across the yard and damage the towers. On touch/mouse, dragging sideways across the canvas sets the aim from the pointer’s horizontal position, clamped to the range -1 to 1; the ball’s hook shifts across about 5.5 world units. Do not allow aiming while a swing is in progress. Press the large orange “SWING” button to launch, or support Spacebar as an equivalent keyboard control. Left and right arrow keys should nudge the aim horizontally. Ignore vertical aiming.

Build three towers from stacked rectangular blocks, each block roughly 1.18 wide, 0.78 high, and 1.05 deep, with tiny spacing/offsets. Place them left, center, and right: the left tower has 6 rows by 3 columns, the center tower has 8 rows by 3 columns, and the right tower has 5 rows by 3 columns. Alternate block colors among muted steel blue, terracotta brown, desaturated green, and ochre/tan. The central tower should be tallest. Blocks cast and receive shadows. Add a few simple low-poly rubble pieces when blocks are hit. Optionally frame the yard with industrial building props if available, but the core visible scene must work without external assets.

The crane consists of an orange vertical mast on the left, a long orange horizontal arm high above the towers, a dark metallic chain, and a large black spherical wrecking ball with a glowing/warm orange torus ring around its middle. The chain and ball hang from a hook that moves horizontally according to aim. When Swing is activated, animate the hook through a smooth approximately 1.65-second pendulum-like sideways arc: it travels outward from the aimed origin and back, with a modest rotational tilt. During the latter portion of the swing, repeatedly check the ball against the nearest still-alive block; if it is within roughly 2 world units, destroy that block. Increment the hit count once per launch. Destroyed blocks should fly away with an impulse away from the ball, upward velocity, random angular velocity, gravity, rotation, and eventually disappear below the yard. A launch cannot occur while another swing is active or after the game ends.

Start with 0 hits, 0% damage, and a 60-second countdown. Damage is the rounded percentage of destroyed blocks out of all 57 blocks. Update the HUD continuously, including the countdown rounded up to whole seconds. End the game when the timer reaches zero with the title “Shift over,” or immediately when all towers are down with the title “All towers down.” Show a centered translucent result panel stating “You cleared [percentage]% of the yard.” and provide a “Restart demolition” button that reloads/resets the game.

Overlay the 3D view with a responsive dark translucent glass-style HUD. At the top, use a rounded rectangular panel spanning most of the width with the uppercase title “WRECKING SHIFT” on the left and three stats on the right: “Hits 0,” “Damage 0%,” and “Time 60,” with the values highlighted in warm orange. At the bottom, show a rounded instruction panel reading “Drag the ball sideways to aim. Tap SWING to release the wrecking ball.” Place the orange rounded SWING button at the lower right; on narrow screens position the help panel above it. Use a dark navy page background, subtle borders/shadows, uppercase letter spacing, and touch-friendly controls. The game should be playable with pointer/touch dragging, button tapping, Spacebar, and arrow-key aim controls.
