Make your own game

The Archive was built by Karanbir with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix The Archive opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for The Archive

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Rebuild a first-person 3D educational exploration game titled “SCIENCE: THE ARCHIVE.” The player is an investigator inside an abandoned underground scientific research facility, restoring a failing chemistry archive while an AI voice named ARIA answers back. Use a dark, atmospheric low-light sci-fi facility rendered in Three.js or an equivalent real-time 3D engine: nearly black blue-green background and fog, charcoal metal walls and floors, ceiling ribs and exposed pipes, industrial benches, cabinets, computers, monitors, glass vessels, warning signage, and closed laboratory doors. Add subtle cyan/teal and red point lighting, hard shadows, a muted metallic palette, and a persistent faint horizontal scanline overlay to match the surveillance/archive aesthetic.

Camera and movement: first-person FPS perspective with a centered small crosshair. Start the player in the emergency entrance at approximately eye height, facing a connected facility made of several rooms: ENTRANCE, SECURITY, MAINLAB, CHEMLAB, and CONTROL, connected by dark portal-like openings/corridors. Support WASD movement, mouse look/pointer lock, E to interact with a nearby object in the center of view, Shift sprint, and Escape pause. On touch screens provide equivalent on-screen movement/look controls if supported. Only show the interaction prompt when the player is looking at an interactable within roughly three meters, formatted like “[E] INTERACT · Security terminal.”

Title screen: show a full-screen dark scanlined background and a centered bordered panel. Include the eyebrow “CBSE SCIENCE // ABANDONED RESEARCH FACILITY,” the large title “SCIENCE: THE ARCHIVE,” and the text: “An emergency transmission brought you underground. The facility's scientific archive is failing — and something inside is answering back.” Provide NEW GAME, CONTINUE, and CONTROLS buttons, plus the control hint “WASD move · Mouse look · E interact · Shift sprint · Esc pause · K Knowledge Core.”

HUD during play: top-left display “SCIENCE: THE ARCHIVE” in spaced teal lettering. Top-right show the current room/sector and archive integrity, initially “PROLOGUE // SECTOR 00” and “ARCHIVE INTEGRITY: 03%,” then use the current facility room and “SECTOR 01.” Show centered crosshair, contextual interaction prompt near the bottom, and temporary bottom subtitles for ARIA messages. Press K to open/close a right-side “KNOWLEDGE CORE” panel. It must show questions answered, score, a progress meter based on known chemistry concepts, and a list of ten concepts with ? unknown, ✓ known in teal, or ⚠ weak in amber: Reactants & products, Balancing equations, Combination reactions, Decomposition reactions, Displacement reactions, Double displacement, Precipitation, Oxidation & reduction, Corrosion, and Rancidity. Persist progress in local storage so Continue restores it.

Build the following visible interactable locations and progression. At the security terminal in SECURITY, display a dialogue: “ARIA: Access is partial. I can route you to Sector 01. First, prove the archive can still balance what we know.” At the control room terminal, display Dr. Vale’s clue: “If ARIA asks you to restore the sectors, listen for what it leaves out.” Award 10 points and log the clue. In the main laboratory, make a balancing console open a multiple-choice question titled “BALANCING TERMINAL”: “Balance H₂ + O₂ → H₂O.” Choices must include “2H₂ + O₂ → 2H₂O” as correct, “H₂ + O₂ → H₂O₂” as incorrect, and “H₂ + 2O₂ → H₂O” as incorrect. Correct feedback explains that subscripts must not change and coefficients change the number of molecules; award 20 points, mark Balancing equations known, and unlock that evidence node. Wrong answers mark the concept weak and explain the error, but allow retrying.

At the chemistry lab reaction-classification station, open “REACTION ANALYSIS”: “A single compound breaks into simpler substances when heated. What type is this?” Include Combination, Decomposition (correct), Displacement, and Double displacement. Correct feedback explains that one reactant splits into two or more products; award 20 points, mark Decomposition reactions known, and unlock the second evidence node. Include the same retry/weak-concept behavior.

Near visibly damaged equipment in the main lab, provide an interactable “Corroded equipment” log titled “EQUIPMENT LOG”: “Rust has damaged an iron clamp. Which response best prevents corrosion?” Choices: “Leave it in moist air” (wrong), “Paint or galvanize the surface” (correct), and “Heat it until it glows” (wrong). Correct feedback explains that coatings block oxygen/water and galvanization uses zinc protection; award 20 points, mark Corrosion known, and unlock the third evidence node.

Also include a research note in the lab that can be read without changing progression: “Reaction observed: two or more substances form one product. This is a combination reaction. The archive tags it: A + B → AB.” Use modal dialogue panels with bordered dark backgrounds, teal headings, answer buttons, feedback text, and a CLOSE button. Opening a modal pauses movement. Escape opens a pause screen with “FACILITY LINK SUSPENDED” and RESUME, RESTART CHECKPOINT, and RETURN TO TITLE buttons. Restart resets the three local chapter flags and player position while retaining the general game structure as implemented.

Place a Sector 01 door in the control-side corridor. If fewer than all three evidence nodes are solved, show the subtitle: “SECTOR 01 LOCK: three evidence nodes required — balance, classify, investigate corrosion.” Once balancing, reaction classification, and corrosion are all correct, open the chapter-completion overlay. Add 50 points and show “SECTOR COMPLETE,” the score, strong concepts, weak concepts, and ARIA’s message “Sector restored. I can open the next door.” After about 2.6 seconds change the heading to “ARCHIVE INTEGRITY: 04%” and the message to: “The facility loses power. A monitor activates. WHY ARE YOU RESTORING IT? ARIA: ‘I don’t know.’” Provide a CONTINUE button that closes the overlay and displays “Sector 02 remains sealed. The archive is listening.” Do not add combat, enemies, weapons, collectibles, or other mechanics; the core loop is navigating the eerie facility, reading clues, answering chemistry questions, tracking knowledge, and restoring the sealed sector.
