Make your own game

Sunset Shore was built by DAFA Nkt with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Sunset Shore opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Sunset Shore

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a simple low-poly 3D fishing game titled “Sunset Shore,” viewed from a fixed, slightly elevated perspective looking from a wooden dock out across a quiet lake toward a hazy sunset shoreline. Use Three.js-style real-time 3D rendering with a warm peach/orange sky background and matching fog that makes distant objects fade softly. Light the scene with warm sunset directional light and a cool/dark hemisphere fill.

World and camera: Make a large flat circular lake surface centered in the distance, colored muted blue-green/teal and slightly transparent, surrounded by a larger flat brown-gray circular shore. Use a perspective camera around position (9, 7.2, 11.5), looking toward the lake at approximately (0, 1.3, -2), with a moderate field of view around 42 degrees. Let the camera drift very subtly side-to-side over time while continuing to look toward the lake. Place a small stylized fishing boat floating far out in the cove, slightly left of center, around (-5, 0.08, -9), with a muted purple/blue hull and simple cabin, matching the visible imported small fishing boat prop.

Environment: Surround the distant shore with sparse, simple low-poly pine trees: each tree consists of a short faceted brown trunk and a single broad faceted cone of desaturated dark green foliage. Scatter them around the background at different distances, including left, center-right, and far-right silhouettes. Add several irregular, faceted gray-brown rocks around the shoreline/lake edge. Keep the overall art style deliberately low-poly, minimal, softly shaded, and sunset-colored.

Dock and player: In the foreground, build a rectangular wooden dock extending from the bottom/front toward the lake, about 3.8 units wide and 7 units long, with a thick reddish-brown deck and several simple cylindrical support posts underneath. Put a stylized low-poly angler at the end/side of the dock in the foreground: a blue-gray clothing/body shape, peach head, reddish-orange brimmed cylindrical hat, and a thin dark fishing rod angled upward/out over the water. The player remains stationary; there is no walking or character movement.

Fishing interaction: The game starts in a READY state with the message “Tap the lake to cast your line.” Support pointer/touch clicks/taps on the renderer and Space or Enter keyboard input. When the player casts, show a pale fishing line stretching from the rod tip (roughly at (0.45, 1.55, 3.7)) to a red-and-white bobber floating on the water at roughly (0, 0.16, -2.7). The bobber should gently bob up and down while waiting. Change the message to “The float is drifting... listen for a splash”. Pick a random bite delay between 1.5 and 4.1 seconds. Taps during this waiting period do not reel in early and should have no effect.

When the random delay expires, automatically enter the BITE state: make the bobber visibly bounce more strongly, and show “A fish is nibbling — tap now!”. Give the player a 1.3-second reaction window. If the player taps during that window, hide the bobber and fishing line, increment the fish counter by 1, add a random score from 10 through 30 inclusive, enter CAUGHT state, and display “You caught a sunfish! Tap to cast again”. If the reaction deadline passes, enter MISS state, hide the bobber and line, and display “The fish got away. Tap to try again”. In either CAUGHT or MISS state, tapping starts another cast. Ignore input in any other state except the intended state transitions.

HUD: Add a full-screen 2D canvas HUD over the 3D scene, with transparent dark translucent panels. At the top-left, show large cream/white bold text “SUNSET SHORE” and beneath it “A quiet little fishing spot” in a smaller warm cream font. At the top-right, show a dark translucent rectangular stats panel with “Fish N” and “Score N”, initially Fish 0 and Score 0. Along the bottom center, show a wide dark translucent message panel containing the current instruction/status text. Make the HUD scale with the viewport and remain fixed to the screen rather than moving with the 3D camera. Use the exact visible wording and counters described above. There are no lives, health, inventory, enemies, timer display, movement controls, or additional menus.
