Make your own game

Storm Ruins was built with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Storm Ruins opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Storm Ruins

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based third-person 3D exploration game titled "Storm Ruins". Use a grounded over-the-shoulder camera following a humanoid adventurer, with mouse/click look controls and WASD movement; support running, jumping with Space, gravity, and a camera distance of roughly 4.2 units and height around 1.65. The player starts at approximately (2, 0, 8) in a large 110-by-110 muddy rainforest clearing and can move at walking speed about 6.5, running speed about 11, and jump with about 9.5 jump strength.

The setting is a dense, wet jungle after a storm. Render a dark green muddy ground with soft shadows, scattered reflective blue-gray puddles, volumetric green-gray fog/mist, and a rainy atmospheric sky/environment. Continuously spawn roughly 2,800 thin pale blue rain particles over a 72-by-72 area from heights 18–43, falling and respawning at the top. Add subtle floating mist particles around the scene. Use cinematic but subdued lighting: green ambient light, warm pale directional sunlight with strong soft shadows, fog, and a wet/rough material appearance. Use a third-person adventurer character model with idle, walk, run, and jump/fall animation states; the character and environment props cast and receive shadows. Play looping quiet rain ambience after the first click or keypress, and use different footstep sounds for grass versus stone while walking or running.

Surround the playable space with about 42 randomly scattered detailed, default, and dark trees at varied rotations and scales, leaving a roughly 9-unit radius open around the ruins. At the back of the jungle, centered near z=-24, build a small ancient ruined stone temple. It should have four weathered pillars at approximately (-7,-30), (7,-30), (-7,-19), and (7,-19), three enclosing stone walls (one across the rear and two side walls), and a 5-by-5 arrangement of stone floor pieces spaced about 2.8 units apart inside the enclosure. Make the ruin stone and mossy-looking, with a clear open approach from the player. Add five darker crumbling floor hazards around the sides/interior of the ruins. When the player comes within about 2.8 units of a hazard, it begins tilting and sinking over roughly a second; eventually it falls below the ground and becomes invisible. If the player is standing on one, gently pull the player down as it collapses. These hazards are environmental obstacles only; do not add enemies, combat, health, lives, or invented damage systems.

Place one large glowing green-cyan crystal artifact near the heart of the ruins at approximately (0.5, 0.8, -23), with a pulsing emissive glow and a nearby point light. Rotate it continuously. The goal is to reach it and recover it: pressing E within about 3.2 units should collect it, and automatically collecting it within about 2.6 units should also trigger success. On success, stop treating the game as active, brighten the artifact light, reduce the rain audio, and show a centered dark green completion panel titled "Artifact Found" with the message "You recovered the glowing relic from the ruins." and a "Play Again" button that reloads the game.

Overlay a simple noninteractive HUD. At the top center show a translucent black objective panel with exactly this guidance: "After the storm, explore the dense rainforest. Find the glowing artifact hidden in the ancient stone ruins. Avoid crumbling floors and watch your step." At the bottom center show a translucent dark status strip initially saying "Press W/A/S/D to move • Click to look around • Space to jump" (it may update to indicate the E artifact interaction). Keep the visual style cinematic, moody, rainy, foggy, naturalistic low-poly game assets, with no enemies or extra UI meters beyond the objective, movement hint, and artifact-found dialog.
