Make your own game

Springing Forward was built by Sonic Hedgehog with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Springing Forward opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Springing Forward

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Recreate a browser-based, all-ages visual novel/dating-sim demo titled “Springing Forward,” subtitled “A gentle spring dating sim demo.” It is a choice-driven dialogue game, not an action game. The player is a 19-year-old university student in Tokyo during spring, entering a name and choosing which friend to spend time with. Build it as a responsive single-screen UI for mouse, touch, and keyboard.

Visual style: use a soft pastel spring aesthetic with a pink-to-periwinkle diagonal gradient background, translucent glass panels, rounded white cards, subtle blur, shadows, and drifting pink cherry-blossom petals in the central visual area. Use a friendly rounded bold sans-serif style similar to Nunito. The overall palette is white, lavender/purple, pale pink, blue, and muted slate text. Center a large rounded game container on desktop (roughly 840px wide by 650px high), with translucent background and glass border; on mobile make it fill the viewport with square edges. The page should not scroll.

Layout: at the top show the large white title “Springing Forward” and subtitle. Beside/below it show a relationship-points bar with four rounded stat tiles, initially all 0: “🌸 Haru,” “⚾ Renji,” “🎸 Yuki,” and “🍞 Soma.” On small screens use four compact columns. Below is a translucent rounded visual panel containing five animated cherry-blossom petals drifting downward and sideways. At its bottom/center, show a character/system card with a circular emoji avatar and a gradient background tied to the current speaker, plus speaker title text. The exact speaker cards are: System uses ✨ and “A new semester” with lavender/pink gradient; Narrator uses 🌸 and “Tokyo in bloom” with pink/blue gradient; Haru uses 📚 and “Library window light” with blue/purple gradient; Yuki uses 🎸 and “An acoustic demo” with dark blue/purple gradient; Renji uses ⚾ and “The ace pitcher” with orange/yellow gradient; Soma uses 🍞 and “Sun & Yeast bakery” with golden/orange gradient.

Initial state: show the central visual panel and below it a white rounded setup card reading “Before spring begins…” and “Enter your character’s name.” Include a centered text input prefilled with “Minato,” limited to 12 characters, and a purple rounded “Start Game” button. Before starting, the visual card is the System card. Pressing Start Game, or pressing Enter while the name field is focused, stores the trimmed name (if nonempty, max 12 characters), hides the name setup card, and shows the dialogue box. The dialogue box is a large white rounded card with speaker name in purple and an underline, readable multiline dialogue, and stacked choice buttons. Choice buttons are white with purple borders, bold text, rounded corners, and hover/focus behavior that turns purple with white text and lifts slightly.

Implement the exact narrative and branching state machine. Start at a prologue after name entry. Prologue speaker is Narrator, and text should dynamically include the entered player name: “The spring breeze in Tokyo carries the faint scent of cherry blossoms. For you, [name], it's just another ordinary day. You are 19, a benchwarmer on your college baseball team, and generally unremarkable. But today, your quiet life is interrupted by multiple notifications.” Show four choices:
1. “Go meet Haru at the campus library” → haru_route_1 and add Haru +1.
2. “Listen to Yuki's raw music demo” → yuki_route_1 and add Yuki +1.
3. “Head to the joint practice to face Renji” → renji_route_1 and add Renji +1.
4. “Visit Soma's bakery for your favorite treat” → soma_route_1 and add Soma +1.

Haru route: speaker Haru, text: “You find Haru sitting near the window in the back of the library. He sighs as you approach, sliding a heavy textbook across the table.\n\n\
