Make your own game

Slipstream Sprint was built by Mitali Bhattacharya with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Slipstream Sprint opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Slipstream Sprint

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a landscape-oriented 3D arcade racing game titled “Slipstream Sprint,” viewed from a low, centered third-person chase camera behind a small stylized race car. The player drives forward automatically on a long, straight three-lane highway; the road scrolls toward the camera to create the sensation of speed, while the car stays near the bottom center and can shift between the three lanes. Use a clean low-poly/arcade visual style: dark charcoal asphalt, two yellow edge lines, pale dashed white lane dividers, broad muted-green grass shoulders, regularly spaced pale roadside posts, soft shadows, blue atmospheric sky, and blue-gray fog fading into the distance. Light the scene with bright ambient hemisphere light and a strong directional sun. The camera should gently follow the player’s horizontal movement and look down the road, with slight car roll while changing lanes.

The player vehicle is a compact stylized red race car model, positioned in the center lane at the start. Provide three discrete lanes at x positions approximately -2.6, 0, and +2.6, and smoothly interpolate the car into the selected lane. Keyboard controls: A/Left Arrow moves one lane left, D/Right Arrow moves one lane right, S/Down Arrow brakes, and Space or either Shift key activates boost. Add equivalent on-screen touch buttons along the bottom: left and right arrow buttons on the lower-left, and BRAKE plus BOOST buttons on the lower-right. Lane changes happen on button/key press rather than continuous steering. Holding BOOST raises the target speed from the normal 13 to 25; holding BRAKE lowers it to 7, and braking takes priority if both are held. Smoothly interpolate speed toward its target. Display speed as approximately speed multiplied by 7.

Populate the road with repeating hazards and collectibles. Place rectangular red-orange barriers across individual lanes, each with a small bright cyan light on its face; hitting a barrier ends the race. Barriers approach the player as the world scrolls, and when they pass beyond the camera they respawn far ahead in a lane that can change. Place glowing cyan torus/ring boost pickups in lanes, rotating as they approach; collecting one makes it disappear and awards 250 points, then it respawns farther ahead in a random lane. Include two AI rival cars, one green and one orange, initially farther down the road in different lanes. They move relative to the player based on their own speeds and can also cause a crash on close contact. The rivals should be simple stylized race-car models and cast shadows.

Track progression is represented by distance and three laps: distance increases with travel speed, the current lap is 1 plus floor(distance / 150), capped at 3/3. Score continuously equals floor(distance * 3), with pickup bonuses added. There is no shown finish/win transition in the implemented behavior; collisions are the game-ending condition. On a collision with a barrier or rival, stop gameplay, play a light impact sound, and show the centered overlay again with the title “RACE OVER,” text reporting the covered meters, completed lap out of 3, and score, and a “RESTART” button. Restart resets the car to the center lane, speed to normal, distance and score to zero, lap to 1, restores and repositions all hazards and pickups, and resumes play.

Before racing, show a full-screen dark translucent overlay over the road with a centered rounded dark card. The card title should read “SLIPSTREAM SPRINT” in large bold white type over two lines, with the description: “Three laps. Faster rivals. Longer straights. Hold BOOST to pass the pack, then brake for the gaps.” and a bright cyan-to-blue gradient “START RACE” button. Hide this overlay after starting. During gameplay, put a compact top-centered HUD made of dark rounded pills showing “DIST [meters]m,” “LAP [current]/3,” “SCORE [number],” and “SPEED [number].” Under it show the instruction line “A / D or ◀ / ▶ steer · S / BRAKE slow · SPACE / BOOST nitro.” Use a dark navy UI with white text, rounded translucent panels, subtle borders and shadows; make BOOST orange-to-magenta and BRAKE dark slate. Restrict the primary game layout to landscape and, on narrow portrait devices, show a full-screen message asking the player to rotate the device to landscape for the full race cockpit. Add simple engine audio after user interaction, alter playback rate during boost/brake, and short synthesized beeps for start and pickup feedback.
