Make your own game

Shape Shift Sprint was built by Amit with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Shape Shift Sprint opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Recreate a mobile-friendly 3D arcade runner called “Shape Shift Sprint.” Use a Three.js-style perspective camera looking down a narrow three-block-wide grassy track, with the player centered and moving automatically forward through the world. The scene should have a cheerful toy-like low-poly presentation: a sky/background gradient from blue at the top through pale blue to peach near the horizon, green grass ground, soft fog, warm sunlight and shadows, and repeating scenery of pine trees, rocks, and flowers along both sides. Use simple colorful geometry and rounded UI, with orange, blue, pink, cream, and dark purple as the main palette.

The runner is a cute morphing shape at the center of the track, with two small dark eyes on its front. It has three forms: an orange rounded cube, a blue sphere, and a pink triangular prism. Only the selected form is visible, and changing shape should have a brief scale/pop and rotation morph animation with colored particle sparkle. The runner bobs slightly while moving; the sphere can visibly roll, and the camera follows from behind and above with a small shake on crashes.

Core gameplay: the runner dashes forward automatically; the player does not steer left or right. Ahead are a sequence of freestanding colored gates spanning the track. Each gate is a thick rounded rectangular wall with a central cutout hole matching one of the three shapes: square/cube, circular/sphere, or triangular. The wall color indicates the required shape: orange cube, blue sphere, or pink triangle. The runner must be in the matching shape when crossing the gate. A correct gate gives points, increments a combo, emits colored and white particle bursts, and shows a floating celebratory score message. Score starts at 0; correct gates award 100 points multiplied by combo tiers up to 5x, and switching shape within roughly the last 0.4 seconds before a gate grants a “CLOSE CALL!” bonus of 50. An incorrect shape causes the runner to smash through the gate, resets combo, removes one of three hearts, creates a red flash, screen shake, crash particles and feedback such as “Needed Sphere!”; losing all hearts ends the run. Passing the finish line completes the level. The runner’s speed gradually ramps during a level.

Build 10 selectable levels with the following progression and names: Sunny Start (8 gates), Easy Breeze (10), Pine Path (12), Quick Steps (14), Rolling Hills (15), Mystery Meadow (16), Twilight Trail (18), Swift Ridge (20), Dash Valley (22), and Final Sprint (25). Early levels use increasing speeds and tighter gate spacing. From Mystery Meadow onward, some gates initially appear as neutral purple/lavender walls with a large white question mark panel over the hole; reveal their actual color and shape as the runner gets close, then animate the question panel lifting/fading away. Place gates in a randomized but repeatable-in-spirit sequence with varied spacing, avoiding repetitive same-shape patterns. End each course with a black-and-white checker finish strip and small flags.

At the beginning of a level show a short “Ready…” then “GO!” countdown. During play show a HUD overlay: level label at upper left, three hearts at upper right (filled red hearts and empty outlines after damage), score, a horizontal orange-to-pink progress bar, combo text, temporary large floating success/failure text, occasional instructional tip banners, and a bottom-center shape control bar with three large rounded white buttons containing the orange cube, blue sphere, and pink triangle. Highlight the active shape button. On the first level show a pulsing hand hint reading “Tap to change shape! Match the hole in the gate.”

Controls must work on touch and desktop: tapping anywhere in the play area cycles Cube → Sphere → Triangle; tapping the bottom shape buttons selects directly; keyboard Space, Up/Right arrows, W/D cycle forward; Down/Left arrows and A/S cycle backward; keys 1, 2, 3 select directly; P or Escape pauses; M toggles sound. Prevent accidental scrolling on the game canvas and support mobile safe areas. Include a top bar with Home, Pause during gameplay, Help (question mark), and Music/mute buttons. Use simple soft synthesized music and short sound effects for morphing, correct gates, close calls, crashes, winning, losing, and UI clicks; persist mute state.

Screens and progression: start on a cream rounded title card over the gradient world with the colorful title “Shape Shift Sprint,” the three shape icons, the subtitle “Morph your runner to slip through every gate.”, orange Play and blue How to Play buttons, and a small loading message while assets load. Play opens a level-selection card with two-column buttons for all 10 levels, each showing its number, name, and up to three earned stars, plus total stars out of 30. The How to Play screen explains automatic movement, shape cycling, matching holes/colors, hearts, combos, close-call bonuses, hidden question-mark gates, star scoring, and keyboard controls. Include a pause card with Resume, Restart, and Level Select. After a successful or failed run show a results card with “Level Clear!” or “Out of Hearts,” one to three stars on success based on hearts remaining, score, gates matched/total, best combo, and best score, plus Retry and Next. Completing level 10 shows a “MISSION COMPLETED” card stating the player shifted through all 10 tracks, total stars out of 30 and total best score, with Level Select and Replay 10. Persist each level’s best stars and best score in local storage. Keep the experience playful, readable, colorful, and responsive in portrait mobile layouts while also working on desktop.
