Make your own game

Petalbrook was built by Sophie Mahdy with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Petalbrook opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Petalbrook

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a playable third-person 3D cozy life-simulation/exploration game titled “Petalbrook.” Use Three.js or an equivalent browser 3D engine with a soft pastel, low-detail, toy-like aesthetic: pink sky/background with light fog, cream sidewalks, mint-green grass, lavender road, pink/lavender/cream/blue buildings, warm yellow street lamps, soft shadows, and bright ambient daylight. The camera should follow a simple rounded humanoid avatar from behind at about 5.5 units away, with a perspective view. The avatar is made from primitive shapes: a pink capsule-like body, a peach spherical head, and rounded purple hair/cap; it should move through the town and rotate toward its movement direction. Controls: WASD or arrow keys move, mouse/touch dragging looks around, Shift runs, Space hops/jumps, and E interacts with nearby glowing points. Show a bottom-center instruction card reading “WASD / arrows to move · drag to look · Shift to run · Space to hop · walk to glowing spots.”

Build a long central Main Street running north/south, with a lavender road about 8 units wide, cream sidewalks on both sides, regularly spaced cream crosswalk stripes, and yellow cylindrical lantern poles along the edges. Surround it with a large mint meadow. Populate the town with simple pastel block buildings with contrasting flat roofs and blue doors: Town Hall to the southwest, Mall to the northeast, Supermarket to the northwest, Café to the east, Salon to the west, and a tall Apartment to the southeast. Add several pastel residential houses around the perimeter, including a Pink Dream House, Cozy Cottage, Modern Villa, Beach House, and Fairy Home. Place a park/fountain area toward the west: a cream circular fountain base, blue water basin, pink central pillar, and lavender benches arranged around it. Add a blue lake and adjacent sandy beach on the eastern side, plus stylized trees around the town. If using external models, use charming low-poly house/tree/kitchen/baked-good assets, but preserve the simple pastel visual language.

At the top, create a fixed rounded-pill HUD with: “🌸 Petalbrook,” a coin display initially showing 250, a grocery counter initially showing 0, and buttons labeled Map, Avatar Studio, and My Home. Use dark lavender text, white translucent pills, pink Map styling, lavender Avatar Studio styling, and mint My Home styling. Clicking Map opens a rounded side panel listing the visible destinations: Park, Mall, Supermarket, Café, Salon, Beach, and Dream Homes, with a Close button.

Place floating, glowing spherical interaction markers around town and show a toast prompt when the avatar is within roughly 2.4 units: “Press E to interact with [label].” Include these interactions:
- Near the supermarket/kitchen area, a glowing “Smart Kitchen Assistant” marker opens a panel titled “✨ Mini Mimo,” explaining that it found recipes from the kitchen stock. Offer “Strawberry Pancakes” with ingredients/time text and a Cook this button; clicking it awards 25 coins and displays “Pancakes served! +25 coins.” Offer “Cozy Cupcakes” with ingredients/time text and a Bake this button; clicking it awards 35 coins and displays “Cupcakes baked! +35 coins.” Include Close.
- A glowing “Grocery cart” marker costs 20 coins when activated, adds 5 groceries, updates the HUD, and shows “Cart filled with 5 groceries”; if the player lacks 20 coins, show “Not enough coins.”
- A glowing “Avatar Studio” marker opens the same Avatar Studio customization panel. Provide four clickable skin swatches (#ffd8bf, #efb28f, #b87960, #704537), four hair-color swatches (#8c64a8, #5d3b32, #f4a6c0, #f0d084), and outfit choices Pink cardigan, Lavender hoodie, and Cream overalls. Applying a choice immediately changes the avatar’s head, hair, or body color and shows a short toast such as “Skin tone updated,” “Hair colour updated,” or “[outfit] equipped.” Include Save & close.
- A glowing “Dream Home” marker opens “🏡 My Dream Home,” describing a Pink Dream House with walk-in closet, pastel kitchen, and balcony garden, with a Move in button that relocates the avatar near the Pink Dream House and says “Welcome home!” Also show a Beach House option described as ocean view, sunny deck, and tiny pool; Preview relocates the avatar near the beach house and says “Beach house preview.” Include Close.
- Near the café/bakery, add glowing cupcake and cookie display props and a “Fresh cupcake” marker. Activating it costs 8 coins, shows “A sweet treat is ready!”, and updates the coin total; insufficient funds show “Not enough coins.”

Use rounded white translucent panels with soft shadows for all menus and toasts. Keep the game open-ended: the player explores the pastel town, visits glowing points, earns/spends coins through recipes and shopping, collects groceries, customizes the avatar, and previews homes. Do not add combat, enemies, quests, inventory systems beyond the visible groceries count, or features not described here.
