Make your own game

NOVA RPG was built by Yohan972 with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix NOVA RPG opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for NOVA RPG

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-playable 3D action RPG titled “NOVA RPG // STARFALL OUTPOST.” Use a dark sci-fi fantasy presentation with a nearly black navy background, violet/cyan emissive lighting, soft fog, bloom-like glowing materials, and a clean futuristic HUD using translucent deep-navy panels, thin violet borders, rounded corners, and white uppercase typography.

WORLD AND CAMERA: Build a small square outdoor clearing on a 42x42 ground plane, viewed with a high, angled top-down third-person camera that follows/targets the player. The ground is dark blue-violet, with a lighter circular clearing at the center and a thin glowing violet ring on the floor around the beacon area. Add soft shadows, blue-violet hemisphere lighting, a strong cool directional light, and a violet point light near the beacon. Scatter stylized low-poly fantasy vegetation and rocks around the perimeter: several pine trees, broadleaf trees, and rocks, leaving the central clearing open. Use fog to fade distant objects.

PLAYER: The protagonist is Lévi, a small low-poly stylized humanoid standing near the lower/center part of the clearing. Construct the character from simple geometric meshes: capsule-like dark blue body, faceted violet coat, peach face, bright cyan cone-like hair, and a small glowing cyan ring/aura at the feet. Give the model a readable name “Levi.” Start the player at approximately (0, 0, 3). Support keyboard movement with WASD and arrow keys through a top-down movement controller; the player can also jump if supported by the controller, but jumping is not part of the quest mechanics. The player’s movement speed should feel like roughly 4.2 units/second.

QUEST LOCATION AND NPC: Place a glowing violet beacon near the far side of the clearing at approximately (0, 0, -3.3). It is a dark-violet cylindrical pillar with an emissive purple core and a floating/rotating glowing violet octahedral gem above it. Place Astra, a slightly smaller stylized humanoid NPC, just left of the beacon at approximately (-2.1, 0, -3.1), wearing a purple coat with pale lavender hair and a pink aura. The main quest is “The Violet Signal.” Initially show “Find Astra near the violet beacon.”

QUEST FLOW: The player presses E when close to Astra. On the first interaction, open a modal dialogue panel near the bottom center with speaker “ASTRA” and the text: “Lévi. The beacon heard you before you arrived. Three Wraithlings are feeding on its signal. Clear them out, then come back to me.” A Continue button closes the dialogue, starts the quest, and changes the objective to “Defeat signal creatures: 0 / 3.” After three enemies are defeated, update the objective to “Return to Astra at the violet beacon.” Interacting with Astra again shows: “The signal is stable again. The first star answered you. This is only the beginning.” Continuing completes the quest, awards 80 XP, and displays a “Quest complete” toast. If the player speaks to Astra before clearing the enemies, show a toast that the signal creatures are still out there. If close to the beacon, E should show the toast “The violet beacon hums beneath your palm.”

ENEMIES AND COMBAT: Spawn three purple Wraithlings at approximately (-5,-1), (4,-5), and (5,4), and two cyan Shardlings at approximately (-4,4) and (0,-7), using x/z positions on the ground. Wraithlings should be hovering low-poly dark-purple faceted/icosahedral cores with magenta emissive eyes and a rotating violet ring at their feet. Shardlings should be cyan-blue glowing octahedral cores with pale cyan eyes and cyan rings. Wraithlings have 42 HP and deal 7 damage; Shardlings have 62 HP and deal 10 damage. When within 7 units, enemies move toward Lévi at about 0.7 units/second; when within 1.4 units, they attack about every 1.1 seconds. Show a hit toast such as “Wraithling hit Lévi” or “Shardling hit Lévi.” If HP reaches zero, recover Lévi at 45% of maximum HP and return him to the beacon area rather than ending the game.

Implement close-range combat on left mouse click or Space, with a 360 ms attack cooldown. The attack targets the closest living enemy within 2.7 units and deals 22 damage, briefly knocks it back and flashes it, while spawning a rapidly expanding/fading cyan half-ring slash effect around the player. Ability 1, “Nova Slash,” triggers the same attack. Ability 2, “Pulse Bolt,” targets the closest living enemy within 8 units and deals 42 damage, while spawning a small cyan orb that travels toward the target. The code’s implemented abilities are Nova Slash and Pulse Bolt; do not require an energy system or cooldown UI. Defeated Wraithlings award 28 XP and defeated Shardlings award 40 XP, disappear, and show a toast naming the defeated creature. Only living enemies should chase or be targetable.

PROGRESSION: Start Lévi at level 1, 100/100 HP, 0/100 XP. On XP gain, fill the XP bar. When XP reaches the threshold, subtract the threshold, increase the level, raise maximum HP by 16, restore to full HP, and increase the next XP threshold by multiplying it by 1.35 and flooring it. Show a “LEVEL UP · LÉVI LV N” toast.

HUD: Overlay the game with a fixed HUD that does not block 3D movement. At top left, show the brand “NOVA RPG // STARFALL OUTPOST,” then a translucent panel for “LÉVI” with a cyan “LV 1” (updated on level-up), HP text and a pink-to-coral health bar, and XP text with a violet gradient XP bar. At top right, show a panel titled “MAIN QUEST · THE VIOLET SIGNAL” and the current objective. At the bottom left, show the control hint: “Move WASD / arrows · Attack click or Space · Abilities 1 2 · Interact E.” At the bottom right, show two rounded dark-violet ability buttons labeled with icons and “Nova Slash” and “Pulse Bolt”; clicking them activates abilities 1 and 2. Use responsive positioning so the quest panel moves lower on narrow screens and the hint can hide on mobile. Center temporary toast notifications around the upper-middle of the screen. Dialogue should be a dark translucent rounded panel with a violet border and a Continue button.

Add subtle animation: rotate the beacon gem, rotate the beacon floor ring, rotate enemy cores and rings, and pulse enemy emissive intensity. Render with antialiasing, shadows, ACES-style tone mapping, and responsive resizing. Keep the game focused on the single playable quest/combat loop described above, with no invented inventory, shops, branching dialogue, or extra maps.
