Make your own game

Neon Snake was built with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Neon Snake opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Neon Snake

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based 3D arcade Snake game titled "Neon Snake" using a Three.js-style renderer. Show a fixed 20x20 square playfield viewed from a raised perspective camera: camera centered over the board at roughly (10,22,19), looking at the board center, so the square grid appears as a trapezoid with the near edge larger. Use a very dark navy background (#0a0a1f) and a dark blue-black metallic floor. Render a neon grid with 20 divisions: bright teal major/grid lines and dim blue secondary lines. Surround the board on all four sides with thick glowing teal rectangular borders, slightly raised above the floor.

The gameplay is classic grid-based Snake. The snake starts with two cells at grid coordinates (5,10) as the head and (4,10) as the tail, moving right at 5 cells per second. Each snake cell is a beveled-looking/solid rectangular neon 3D block about 0.85 cell wide and 0.7 high, sitting above the floor. The head is bright cyan with strong cyan emissive glow; body segments are green/teal (#00ffaa) with a softer glow. The snake moves one grid cell at a time. Allow direction changes with Arrow Up/Down/Left/Right and W/A/S/D, while preventing an immediate 180-degree reverse. Queue one pending direction and apply it on the next movement step.

Place one collectible food item on an unoccupied random grid cell. It is a bright magenta/pink glowing sphere, approximately 0.42 cell radius, and it gently pulses in size. When the snake head enters the food cell, increase score by 10, leave the tail in place so the snake grows by one segment, increase movement speed by 0.75 cells per second up to a maximum of 15, and respawn the food at another random unoccupied cell. The food should not spawn inside the snake. The score starts at 0 and the snake length starts at 2.

End the game immediately if the next head cell goes outside the 20x20 board or overlaps any existing snake segment. Stop movement and show a centered game-over overlay: dark translucent navy panel, cyan border and cyan glow, large glowing magenta "GAME OVER" heading, "FINAL SCORE: [score]", and a cyan restart button labeled "RESTART (R)". Restart should also be possible by pressing R after game over; reset snake, direction, speed to 5, score to 0, hide the overlay, and respawn food. During play, place a fixed HUD at the upper-left reading "SCORE: 0" in a large monospace font, bright cyan with cyan glow. At the bottom center show the subtle teal monospace instruction text: "ARROWS / WASD • EAT TO GROW • SPEED INCREASES". Keep the canvas fullscreen with no scrolling.

Use simple neon sci-fi geometry and lighting: ambient bluish light, a cool pale directional light from above, emissive materials, metallic surfaces, cyan/teal/magenta palette, and no textures or characters. Preserve the clean minimal arcade presentation visible in the reference: the board dominates the screen, with the raised glowing border and grid clearly visible, and the snake and magenta food as the only gameplay objects.
