Rebuild a browser-playable 3D arcade racing game titled “NEON RACER,” presented in a dark cyberpunk night-shift style. Use a Three.js-like third-person chase camera behind and slightly above a small sports hatchback, looking down a long straight road. The scene should have a deep navy/black background and fog, a wet-looking dark metallic road about 14 units wide, bright cyan glowing edge rails, and repeated cyan lane dashes dividing three lanes. Surround the road with a futuristic neon skyline: many tall blocky buildings on both sides with subdued colored emissive surfaces and thin pink or cyan vertical light strips, plus occasional glowing horizontal bridge bars crossing overhead. Use bloom-like emissive neon lighting in cyan, hot pink, purple, and orange, with soft colored point lights and shadows. Load low-poly racing props/vehicles if available (sports hatchback for the player, sedan-like cars for rivals, racing barriers, and ramps); provide simple boxy car geometry as a fallback if assets fail. The core game is a solo forward race down a 620-unit city sprint. The player’s cyan-glowing car starts near the front of the road with three CPU rivals named VOLT, PIXEL, and NOVA in pink, orange, and purple cars. The car automatically accelerates unless braking; the player can steer left/right but is constrained to the road, with three approximate lane positions. Drive forward through five sequential zones, reaching the end to finish: NEON CITY, SKY HIGHWAY, CYBER TUNNELS, DRONE DISTRICT, and NEON SPEEDWAY. Display a brief 3-second countdown, then “GO!”. CPU cars follow gently changing lanes and drive at roughly comparable speeds, so show a live position ranking out of four. Controls: W or Up Arrow accelerates, S or Down Arrow brakes, A/D or Left/Right Arrow steers, Space activates drift, and Shift activates nitro. The car has speed, steering, and braking arcade physics rather than simulation. Drift while steering slightly increases score; nitro gives a strong temporary acceleration boost, widens the chase-camera field of view, consumes a 0–100 nitro meter, and slowly refills when unused. On touch devices, show large bottom-screen buttons for LEFT, RIGHT, BRAKE, DRIFT, and NITRO, and also support swipe gestures: horizontal swipes steer and vertical swipes accelerate or brake. Place 55 rotating gold ring coins along the three lanes throughout the road. Collect one when the player is close in both forward and lateral distance; hide it, increment the coin count, and award 150 score. Place 25 red/pink glowing barrier obstacles at intervals, including some centered and some offset toward lanes. If the player hits one, reduce current speed substantially, subtract 120 score without going below zero, and briefly show “CRASH.” Place five cyan ramps at intervals down the track as visible racing props; they are part of the scenery/obstacle course presentation, but do not invent a jump mechanic unless the implementation naturally supports it. The HUD overlays the game with translucent dark glass cards and neon borders: Position (for example 1 / 4), Speed in km/h, Score, Coins, and a horizontal Nitro meter. At the top center show “ZONE 1 // NEON CITY” and update it as progress crosses each of the five 110-unit sections; entering a new zone awards 500 points and briefly displays the zone name and “CHECKPOINT +500.” Center-screen messages include countdown numbers, GO!, CRASH, and checkpoint notices. When the player reaches the final stretch, stop the race and show a “RACE RESULTS” panel listing all four racers sorted by progress, each with points and coins, plus PLAY AGAIN and MAIN MENU buttons. Build the UI as responsive fullscreen overlays with a rounded, thin cyan-outlined panel, dark blue/purple gradients, glassy backgrounds, and strong cyan/pink text glow. Use bold geometric sci-fi typography similar to Orbitron for headings and condensed futuristic typography similar to Rajdhani for labels. The initial menu should visibly match this layout: large glowing two-line “NEON RACER” title, subtitle “CYBER CIRCUIT // NIGHT SHIFT,” then full-width buttons PLAY SOLO, PLAY WITH FRIENDS, HOW TO PLAY, SETTINGS, and CREDITS, followed by “A fast arcade racing slice — built for keyboard and touch.” PLAY SOLO starts the race. HOW TO PLAY opens a panel documenting acceleration, brake, steering, drift, nitro, touch controls, coin collection, checkpoints, barriers, ramps, and the five-zone sprint. SETTINGS shows whether touch mode was detected and notes that landscape orientation is recommended on phones. CREDITS identifies the concept and Kenney CC0 vehicle/racing asset packs. Include a PLAY WITH FRIENDS flow with CREATE ROOM and JOIN ROOM. Creating a room generates a short five-character uppercase room code, displays it with a waiting player list and START RACE button; joining accepts a room code. Use a shared browser BroadcastChannel/local-room style flow for this playable build, clearly treating it as local browser-room functionality rather than inventing a real internet server. Starting either solo or room mode uses the same race with the player and three CPU racers. Maintain a polished responsive layout for desktop and touch screens, prevent accidental page scrolling, and use neon emissive materials, fog, colored lighting, shadows, and a smooth chase camera to convey speed.
