Make your own game

Mutation Garden was built by Dkwbejekn Zkdhoabs with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Mutation Garden opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Mutation Garden

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Recreate a playable game titled "Mutation Garden", a compact mystical greenhouse/plant-tycoon game in a top-down 3D perspective. The camera is a fixed perspective camera positioned above and slightly in front of a circular garden, looking toward its center; show a dark green ground disk with soft fog, a lighter ring-shaped garden path, a small teal pond toward the back-left, and colorful glowing low-poly crystals around the outer rim. Arrange nine circular raised soil plots in a 3-by-3 grid at the center, each with a brown terracotta-like bed, dark soil, and a plant. Plants should gently bob and slowly rotate. Use Three.js-style lighting: pale green hemisphere light and warm directional sunlight with soft shadows. Plants can use simple nature-kit-style bush, tall cactus/spire, or flower/bloom bases when available, but include immediate procedural fallback geometry so the game is playable: a green stem with a colored bush sphere, cone/spire, or torus-knot bloom, plus mutation add-ons such as colored petals, cream spikes, glowing orbs, and pale ring pattern bands.

The core loop is: the player taps/clicks a plot to select it, then mutates it, sells it, or replaces it with an exotic seed. Clicking any plot selects it and makes its surrounding torus marker bright yellow and slightly enlarges its bed; unselected plot markers are dim mint green. Start with 120 cash, zero sold, zero mutations, generation 1, and the center plot selected. Each plot has seven genes: shape (Bush, Spire, Bloom; 3 options), color (Lime, Sunset, Amethyst, Coral, Glacier, Gold, Void; 7 options), height (8 levels), petals (6 levels), spikes (5 levels), glow (4 levels), and pattern (Plain, Striped, Spotted, Ringed; 4 options), for 3*7*8*6*5*4*4 = 20,160 possible combinations. Randomly generate genes for the initial nine plants and track discovered gene combinations.

Score each plant from its genes. Compute rarity from color rarity multiplier (Lime .95, Sunset 1.15, Amethyst 1.35, Coral 1.28, Glacier 1.32, Gold 1.55, Void 1.8), multiplied by bonuses from glow, spikes, petals, and pattern. Beauty is 28 + height*5 + petals*9 + glow*16 + pattern*6 + colorIndex*2. Weirdness is 18 + spikes*10 + glow*14 + abs(height-3)*4. Plant value is round((beauty*0.8 + weirdness*0.65)*rarity). Name plants as prefix + color + shape: prefix is Nova if glow > 2, otherwise Razor if spikes > 3, otherwise Velvet if petals > 3, otherwise Wild. Display the selected plant’s name, value, Beauty, Weirdness, Shape, Color, Pattern, Height, Petals, Spikes, and Glow.

Provide four large touch-friendly HUD buttons: "Mutate Selected", "Sell Selected", "Mutate All", and "New Exotic Seed". Mutate Selected costs 12 + generation*2; if affordable, subtract the cost, randomly change at least two genes (two or three random gene changes), increment generation and mutation count, rebuild the selected plant, and show a short toast such as "Mutation paid off — [name] is growing." If cash is insufficient, show an error toast. Mutate All costs 35 + generation*3; if affordable, increment generation, mutate every plot with one or two random gene changes, count one mutation per plot, rebuild all plants, and show a toast. Sell Selected adds the selected plant’s calculated value to cash, increments Sold, replaces that plot with a completely random new plant without incrementing mutations, and shows a toast naming the sold plant and price. New Exotic Seed costs 8 cash (clamp cash at zero), affects only the selected plot, and generates a plant with petals 2-5, glow 1-3, pattern 1-3 while other genes remain random; show an exotic-seed toast. Keep garden average as the rounded average value of all nine plots.

Use a dark translucent glass HUD overlay with rounded corners, thin green borders, blur and shadows. At the top show the title and subtitle "Tap a plot, mutate the plant, and sell the rare expensive freaks." Beside/below it show a two-column stats panel with Cash, Sold, Mutations, Found (discovered count / 20160), Generation, and Garden Avg, emphasizing numeric values in pale yellow. At the bottom show the selected plant information card and a two-column button grid; use green gradient buttons for mutation actions, a gold/yellow gradient for selling, and a coral/orange gradient for New Exotic Seed. Make the layout responsive for portrait mobile screens and desktop, with safe-area padding and the 3D garden visible behind the HUD. Include brief fading dark toast notifications for actions and failures. The overall visual style is low-poly fantasy greenhouse: deep forest greens, warm soil and pottery, pastel glowing mutant plants, soft shadows, and luminous rim crystals. Do not add combat, enemies, timers, farming automation, or extra currencies.
