Midnight Run was built by aref cherni with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Midnight Run opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Rebuild a playable 3D arcade endless street-racing game titled “Midnight Run.” Use a third-person chase camera behind and slightly above a red player race car, looking forward down a three-lane neon city road at night. The camera should follow the car’s horizontal movement with a slight smooth lag; the road and city recede toward the horizon with dark blue-black fog. Make the scene stylized low-poly/arcade: a wide dark charcoal road, pale yellow dashed lane markers, red glowing curb strips on the left and electric-blue glowing curb strips on the right, and dark shoulders. Place simple blocky skyscraper/building masses along both sides in deep purple, blue, and burgundy tones, with sparse tiny red and blue illuminated window accents. Light the scene with cool ambient night lighting plus warm directional light and a red/pink glow on the left; preserve strong neon contrast. Core gameplay is an endless forward run. The player car automatically drives forward and the speed steadily increases over distance, starting at a moderate pace. The player does not brake or change lanes discretely: steer continuously left/right to move the red car across the road, clamped within the road boundaries. The car subtly rolls and yaws while steering. Spawn five green rival/traffic cars ahead of the player, distributed among approximate lane x positions -3.4, 0, and 3.4 and staggered into the distance. Rival cars move relative to the player, gently weave side-to-side with a sine-wave motion, and recycle far ahead after passing behind the player, creating an endless stream. If the player’s car gets close enough to a rival both horizontally and longitudinally, trigger a crash: stop the run, show a brief camera shake, and open the game-over panel. There are no weapons, pickups, laps, braking, or additional hazards. Boost is a temporary speed increase activated by holding Space on desktop or holding the center ▲ mobile button. Normal speed rises as distance increases; while boost is held, add a clear extra speed surge. Release Space/button to return to normal acceleration. Desktop controls: Left/Right arrow keys or A/D steer, Space boosts, and Enter starts the game when a menu is displayed. Mobile controls are three large circular translucent buttons along the bottom: ◀ for steering left, ▲ for boost, and ▶ for steering right; they should support press-and-hold and be touch-friendly. HUD is fixed over the 3D view. At top left show the red, widely letter-spaced title “MIDNIGHT RUN,” followed by stacked readouts “SPEED”, “RUN [meters]m”, and “BEST [meters]m.” Speed is an arcade-scaled integer, run distance is an integer in meters, and best distance persists between attempts. At top right show small gray instructions: “ARROWS / A D TO STEER”, “SPACE TO BOOST”, and “SWIPE BUTTONS ON MOBILE.” Initially display a centered dark translucent rectangular start panel with a thin red border, large spaced heading “MIDNIGHT RUN,” the text “Thread the neon canyon, dodge rival cars, and hold the line as the speed builds.”, a bright red “START RACE” button, and a small gray subtitle “Original arcade street-racing slice — not a 1:1 copy.” Hide it once started. On collision, display a similarly styled centered panel headed “WRECKED,” explain the covered distance and best distance, and provide a bright “RUN IT BACK” restart button. Keep the mobile controls visible at the bottom, with the left controls grouped on the lower-left/center area as in the reference. Use a clean Arial-like sans-serif UI, black/navy translucent panels, bright white text, red accent color, and responsive full-screen layout.
