Make your own game

Media Quest was built by luka with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Media Quest opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Media Quest

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a first-person 3D browser game titled “Media Quest.” The player explores a small enclosed media room using WASD movement and mouse look, with a centered white crosshair. Use a Three.js-style perspective camera with FPS controls, walking speed around 3.4, jump enabled, gravity, and pointer-lock/click capture behavior. The camera starts near the front of the room at roughly eye height, facing a desk at the back.

Build the room as a dark, polished low-poly/asset-based interior: a large blue-gray floor, three blue-gray walls and a ceiling, subtle vertical lighter trim strips on the back wall, soft fog, shadows, a cool hemisphere fill light and strong directional light. At the back center place a desk with a computer monitor and a desk chair in front of it, using simple furniture-kit-style 3D models. The monitor is the main world interaction: when the player aims the crosshair at it and clicks, open a centered dark modal titled “Desk Computer.” Clicking outside the modal or its close X closes it.

The fixed HUD should remain over the 3D view. At top left show a rounded dark outlined badge reading “MEDIA QUEST.” At top right show a gold-outlined rounded coin badge with a coin icon and the starting balance “1000.” In the center show a small glowing white/cyan crosshair. Along the bottom center show the hint text: “WASD move · mouse look · click to capture · click the computer to open it.” Use a dark navy/near-black palette with muted blue borders, white text, cyan accents, and gold coins.

The Desk Computer modal has a left tab column and a content screen. Tabs are “Wallpaper,” “Folders,” and “Image Shop.” Wallpaper is the default tab. It shows “Current wallpaper,” a large preview image, an “Upload wallpaper” button, a “Use uploaded” button, and explanatory text that local PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, MP4, WebM files can be previewed in the browser. Uploading a wallpaper should use a local file picker and set the selected local object URL as the current wallpaper; “Use uploaded” selects the first item in the uploaded media collection, or reports that media must be uploaded first.

The Folders tab shows “Custom folders,” a row of folder buttons beginning with “📁 My Media,” a “+ Create folder” button, and a “+ Add custom item” button. Creating a folder prompts for a name and adds it to the folder list. Adding a custom item opens a local image/video picker and adds the file to the media collection assigned to the first folder. The Image Shop tab says “Buy image wallpapers — every item costs 50 coins.” Display three purchasable visual cards in a two-column grid: “Aurora Drift,” an abstract blue/teal/purple gradient with a pale circular glow; “Dungeon Map,” a dark purple map-like graphic with an orange path; and “Pixel Valley,” a blue sky/green valley pixel-art-like landscape. Each card shows “🪙 50 coins.” Clicking a card deducts 50 coins if enough balance remains, makes that image the current wallpaper, returns to the Wallpaper tab, and briefly changes the bottom hint to “Wallpaper purchased”; if balance is insufficient, show an alert.

Also implement a dark right-side “Media Backpack” panel, styled as a rounded translucent navy panel with a title and description: “Upload media, then click a card to view it full screen.” It contains an “Upload media” control accepting multiple image files and MP4/WebM/OGG video files, plus a “Paste to wall” button. Uploads become cards in a media library; image cards show thumbnails, while video cards use a simple blue placeholder labeled “VIDEO.” Clicking any card opens a full-screen media viewer modal with the filename, image or autoplaying controls-enabled video, and a gold “Download” link/button. The panel also has a “Your folders” section with folder buttons and “+ Folder”; the folder button prompts for a name and adds it to the folder list. Initially the library says “No uploads yet.”

Create a back wall media display with three poster slots. Initially show the three shop artwork images as wall posters, arranged left, center, and right, facing into the room. “Paste to wall” should take the most recently uploaded media and add a poster plane to the next wall slot, using its local image/video URL as appropriate, with a brief hint “Media pasted onto the wall.” Preserve the initial three posters and allow additional posters to be appended. Keep the room and HUD visible behind overlays, use rounded 10–18px panels, thin blue borders, subtle shadows, responsive layouts, and a mobile layout where the backpack becomes a bottom panel and the computer tabs become a horizontal row. Start the game with 1000 coins and keep tracked state for coins, uploaded media count, folders, wall poster count, and whether the computer is open.
