Make your own game

Last Light Island was built by Nicolas Buggea2 with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Last Light Island opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Last Light Island

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a playable low-poly 3D survival game titled “Last Light Island.” Use a third-person camera that follows a simple survivor avatar on a small circular tropical island, with the camera positioned behind and above the character so the sandy terrain, ocean, and nearby resources are visible. The scene should be bright and stylized: a pale blue sky with matching atmospheric fog, a broad turquoise ocean surrounding the island, a circular island with a green lower edge and broad cream-colored sand top, soft shadows, and warm directional sunlight. As night falls, change the sky and fog to deep navy blue and substantially dim the sun and ambient light.

The player is a very simple low-poly capsule-shaped orange/coral survivor with a dark purple rectangular backpack on its back. Place the survivor near the front/center of the island. Add tropical resource props distributed around the island: several palm trees, including both shorter and taller palms, and two fallen logs. Palms and logs are wood resources; each palm gives 2 wood and each log gives 1 wood. Also place five small fruit patches around the island. Each fruit patch consists of a short green stem with a cluster of four round red fruits. Resources cast soft shadows and disappear when gathered.

The sole objective is to collect enough supplies before night: 5 wood and 3 food. Let the player explore freely using WASD or arrow keys, with normal third-person character movement and jumping. Also provide a prominent on-screen GATHER button suitable for mouse/touch, and allow the E key to gather. Gathering only works when the player is within about 2 world units of a resource. Prioritize the nearest available wood resource; if no nearby wood is available, gather the nearest nearby fruit patch. A gathered palm or log becomes inactive, invisible, and increments the wood counter by its amount. A gathered fruit patch becomes inactive and invisible, increments food by 1, and restores 18 points of hunger, capped at 100. If nothing valid is close, show a temporary message telling the player to move closer to a palm, log, or fruit patch.

Start the survival timer at 60 seconds and hunger at 100%. Hunger continuously drains at approximately 0.42 points per second. If hunger reaches zero before the goal is completed, end the game with a centered dark overlay, the title “NIGHT CLAIMED THE ISLAND,” explanatory text that the player ran out of time and should gather faster and keep moving, and a “TRY AGAIN” button. At 60 seconds, transition into night, display a temporary “Night has fallen” message, and update the timer label to “NIGHT HAS FALLEN.” If the player has not already completed the supply goal, night should cause a loss/end state. Completing 5 wood and 3 food should immediately produce a win, including if it happens right as night begins; show a centered end overlay titled “YOU MADE IT” with text explaining that the firewood is stacked and food is safe, plus a “TRY AGAIN” button. Disable further gathering after either ending and allow the restart button or R key to reload/restart the game.

Build a clear HUD over the 3D view. In the upper-left, use a dark translucent rounded panel with the gold title “LAST LIGHT ISLAND,” then show “Sunset in [seconds]s” while daylight remains, “NIGHT HAS FALLEN” afterward, “Wood 0/5 · Food 0/3,” and “Hunger 100%,” updating all values live. In the upper-right, show a matching dark panel with the objective text “Gather enough supplies” and “before night falls.” Show temporary centered lower-screen feedback such as “+2 wood,” “+1 wood,” or “+1 food · hunger restored.” At the bottom, show the hint “WASD / arrows to explore · E or Gather near a resource,” and place the gold GATHER button at the lower right. Use rounded translucent navy HUD cards, warm yellow buttons, bold clean system typography, soft shadows, and a polished minimal low-poly/island survival aesthetic. Do not add combat, enemies, crafting, inventory systems, or other objectives beyond the timed gathering and hunger loop described here.
