About Event Horizon

As you navigate the cosmos in **Event Horizon**, the serenity of drifting stars suddenly twists into chaos as you approach a massive black hole. Vivid, pulsating plasma whips around a rotating accretion disk, while asteroids elongate and spiral into the abyss under intense gravitational pull. Brace

Make your own game

Event Horizon was built by Titus Price with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Event Horizon opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Event Horizon

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a fullscreen Three.js cinematic interactive experience titled "Event Horizon," with no player avatar, combat, scoring, or conventional movement. Render a black deep-space scene through a 62-degree perspective camera that starts far from the center and steadily flies inward toward a black hole. Use a dense field of about 8,500 tiny additive-glowing stars scattered in a huge cylindrical/deep-space volume around the camera, tinted from pale blue-white to white, with very subtle slow rotation and drift. At the center place a perfectly black spherical event horizon about radius 4.1, surrounded by a luminous accretion disk: two overlapping, thin, wide elliptical planes crossing around the hole, with animated procedural shader bands and hot colors ranging from red-orange and golden yellow through pale blue near the inner edge. Add a warm orange photon ring and a tighter bright blue-white inner ring around the black sphere, using transparent additive blending. Include roughly nine irregular gray-brown faceted asteroid/debris fragments around the hole, elongated in one axis, slowly rotating and bobbing; as the approach progresses, stretch them further to suggest tidal forces. Light the scene with a strong warm orange point light near the black hole and a very dim blue ambient fill.

Make the experience an approximately 18.2-second automated cinematic. The camera should continuously approach: begin around position (0, 1.4, 24), move inward along z, with gentle sinusoidal x/y drift, then after roughly 10 seconds increase the pull/approach and add progressively stronger subtle procedural camera shake. Keep the black hole centered in view. Slowly rotate the accretion disk, animate its shader bands, increase disk intensity over time, and make the photon-ring glow increase. At approximately 14.95 seconds create a brief intense white/orange exposure flash as the camera reaches the center, then show the centered uppercase message "YOU HAVE REACHED THE CENTER" briefly before transitioning to the final title screen.

Overlay minimal cinematic typography in front of the canvas. During the opening first three seconds show only a bottom-centered monospace uppercase instruction in dim white: "CLICK OR PRESS SPACE TO SKIP". From about 3 to 6 seconds fade in the centered caption "A RIPPLE IN SPACE"; from 6 to 10 seconds show "GRAVITY IS NOT A FORCE — IT IS A DIRECTION"; from 10 to 14 seconds show "THE UNIVERSE BENDS AROUND YOU". Hide the instruction near the end, show "YOU HAVE REACHED THE CENTER" around 16.5–17.4 seconds, then fade it out. At the end, fade in a centered title card with large elegant serif uppercase lettering "EVENT HORIZON" with wide letter spacing and a soft white glow, and beneath it the smaller spaced monospace subtitle "YOU HAVE REACHED THE CENTER". Use dark black styling, responsive sizing, subtle opacity/position transitions, and no visible HUD besides these captions.

Allow a pointer click, Space, or Enter key at any time before completion to skip directly to the finished title card. Preserve a state equivalent to elapsed time, finished, skipped, and cutscene progress, and resize the camera/rendering responsively. The visual style should be minimal, atmospheric, scientific, and cinematic: almost-black space, sparse luminous stars, a physically evocative black hole, warm fiery disk against cool blue highlights, and restrained monochrome typography.
