Make your own game

ELDEN RUINS was built with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix ELDEN RUINS opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for ELDEN RUINS

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a playable browser 3D dark-fantasy action RPG slice titled “ELDEN RUINS,” subtitled “ASHES OF THE VEILED KINGDOM.” Use a somber, nearly black presentation with warm aged-gold typography and thin bronze borders. The opening screen should be a centered panel on a black background with the large widely spaced title, subtitle, and three full-width buttons: NEW GAME, CONTINUE, SETTINGS; include the footer “Original dark-fantasy action RPG slice · local save.” New Game opens character creation with Name and password fields, an Origin dropdown, a Keepsake dropdown, an origin description, and BEGIN THE RUIN/BACK buttons. Origins should include Knight, Vagabond, Rogue, Sage, Acolyte, Wretch, Hunter, Herald, Warlock, and Mercenary, each with its shown short identity/focus; keepsakes include Crimson Seed, Golden Seed, Rune Shard, Old Key, Ashen Charm, Silver Talisman, Stonesword Key, Tiny Bell, and Nothing. Continue asks for a character name and loads that character’s browser-local save; Settings offers minimal settings text and delete-local-save behavior.

After starting, enter a third-person Three.js-style 3D wilderness called Veilwood. Use a dark charcoal ground plane, black-purple fog and background, scattered low-poly stones, subdued hemisphere lighting, and a warm directional light with shadows. The player is a simple stylized humanoid made from a brown capsule body and pale metal-looking rounded helmet, beginning near (0,5) in the world. Keep the camera behind/around the player in a third-person follow view with movement, gravity, jumping, and a compact open-world arena. Place a glowing orange/gold Grace pedestal at the starting area named First Grace and another at Mirewatch Grace, a purple-clad Roundtable Archivist NPC nearby, a distant fortress/door prop, a rock, and a pine tree. Place collectibles: a blue glowing Map Fragment, green Golden Seed, and gold Hero Rune; collectible state persists and each disappears after pickup. A death-drop gold torus-knot represents lost runes at the death location.

The core loop is exploration, melee combat, resource recovery, leveling, equipment, and defeating the boss. Spawn seven ordinary Ruin Stalkers around the wilderness and one large red Veiled Warden boss near the distant door. Enemies pursue when close, attack at melee range, and disappear when defeated. Ordinary enemies have about 70 HP and award roughly 20–49 runes. The Warden has about 420 HP, awards 80,000 runes, and on defeat grants an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone and unlocks New Game Plus. The boss should have three HP-based phases: phase 2 below 60% health and final phase below 30%; show phase changes with a glowing expanding ring and brief toast messages. Its attacks should visibly telegraph, then include a rushing strike, expanding red shockwave, and fan-shaped red projectiles. The shockwave/projectile attacks become wider, stronger, and more frequent by phase. The player’s attack is aimed in the facing/camera direction and hits nearby enemies. Left mouse performs a normal attack; holding Shift while clicking performs a slower/heavier attack. Damage and cooldown are influenced by the equipped weapon and strength. Shift also functions as a brief dodge/invulnerability state. Right mouse is guard and drains FP while held, Q casts an Ashen Bolt projectile for 15 FP, E interacts, F consumes a flask to restore 45 HP, M opens the map, L opens level-up, K saves, Escape opens/closes the menu, WASD moves, and Space jumps.

Include a fixed HUD over gameplay: upper-left character name, red HP bar, blue FP bar, and a small stamina line reading “Stamina managed by movement rig”; upper-right region name (Veilwood, changing to “Veilwood · Mirewatch revealed” once the map fragment is collected), level, runes, flask count/max, and hints for M Map and Esc Menu; bottom-left controls legend: WASD move, LMB attack, Shift dodge, RMB guard, Q skill, E interact, F flask, Space jump. Use dark translucent HUD boxes, bronze borders, cream text, and temporary centered toast notifications.

Grace interaction opens a modal where enemies freeze and HP, FP, and flasks are restored. It should show level and runes and buttons for Level Up, Equipment, Map, Save, weapon Upgrade, optionally Begin New Game Plus after the Warden is defeated, and Leave Grace. Leveling spends a gradually increasing rune cost (starting around 220 and scaling with level) on vigor, endurance, strength, awareness, intelligence, faith, or arcane; vigor increases HP more than the other stats. Equipment should list 17 weapons with distinct names, power, speed/cooldown identity, range identity, and status labels, including Grave Dagger, Ashen Longsword, Moon-etched Greatsword, Colossus Ruinblade, Mire Curved Sword, Blackthorn Katana, Fenland Spear, Cinder Axe, Oathbreaker Greataxe, Bell Hammer, Gravetide Maul, Reaper Scythe, Iron Knuckles, Veil Bow, Storm Greatbow, Warden Staff, and Dawn Seal. Also list Buckler of Ash, Worn Kite Shield, and Mire Greatshield, plus the equipped Veilguard Set armor. Weapon reinforcement costs runes, caps at +25, and increases equipped weapon power.

The map modal should say that no map is available until finding the blue fragment, then depict a simple dark forest-road map with a Grace marker and Warden marker. The Archivist interaction should show the line “The circle remembers what the world forgets.” and offer a Golden Rune for 300 runes plus an option to attack the Archivist, making the NPC hostile until the next cycle. When collecting the fragment, reveal the region; the seed increases maximum flasks by one (up to 20); the Hero Rune grants 15,000 runes. On death, transfer current runes to lost runes, reset runes to zero, restore HP/FP, respawn at the starting Grace, and require interacting with the gold death marker to recover them. Persist character profile and game state in local browser storage, including level, stats, runes, death drop, collectibles, upgrades, equipment, boss progress, and New Game Plus count. After New Game Plus, increase enemy scaling, reset boss/world victory state and runes while retaining appropriate progression, then reload into the world. Keep the overall art simple low-poly 3D, atmospheric, sparse, and game-like rather than cinematic.
