Make your own game

Dream Nest was built by CharlieMarty with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Dream Nest opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Dream Nest

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a cozy 3D home-design sandbox called “Dream Nest.” Use Three.js-style real-time 3D with soft shadows, ambient hemisphere lighting, a warm directional sun, pale blue sky/fog, and a low-poly/blocky life-sim aesthetic. The camera should be a perspective orbit camera in Build mode: drag to orbit, mouse wheel or pinch to zoom, with no panning. Provide two top-level views, Outside and Inside, and two modes, Build and Explore.

Outside view: show a small neighborhood lot from an elevated three-quarter angle. The lot is a rectangular patch of customizable green grass, with a sidewalk at the front, a dark road beyond it with several pale lane markings, curb, low fence posts around the edges, shrubs, a mailbox, a leafy tree, a wooden bench, and simplified distant neighboring houses. Center the lot with a stylized house consisting of a raised foundation, rectangular wall shell, framed front door, two front windows with shutters, porch and steps, roof pieces, and chimney. The house exterior must respond to customization: house shape options are “cozy cottage,” “boxy modern,” and “tall townhouse”; roof shape options are “gable,” “flat,” and “rounded”; wall, roof, door, and yard colors can be cycled. Gable roofs use two sloped roof blocks, flat roofs use one broad flat block and can hide the chimney for the modern shape, and rounded roofs use two shallow angled blocks. Keep the building and neighborhood grounded with visible cast shadows.

Inside view: switch to a dollhouse-like cutaway room with floor and three walls, visible ceiling beams, and a compact furnished layout. Include a living area with a sofa, coffee table, rug, media console and TV; a kitchen counter and refrigerator; a bed zone with bed base, pillows, headboard and nightstand; a desk; a lamp; and a potted plant. Let the player customize floor color, sofa style and color, bed style and color, and rug shape and color. Sofa styles are “comfy sofa,” “modern sofa,” and “corner sofa”; bed styles are “single bed,” “platform bed,” and “canopy bed”; rug shapes are “round rug,” “square rug,” and “oval rug.” The room should use the same soft, blocky, simplified geometry and shadows as the outside.

Place a blocky customizable avatar visibly in both scenes. Build the avatar from cuboid torso, waist, head, arms, hands, legs and shoes, with simple dark square eyes and a small smile. Support skin tones “fair,” “honey,” “tan,” “mocha,” and “deep”; top and accent colors; hair colors “blonde,” “auburn,” “chocolate,” “espresso,” and “charcoal”; and hair styles “bun,” “short,” and “spiky.” Rebuild the hair geometry when the style changes. Add a second blocky roommate/friend avatar with a fixed contrasting outfit so the two-player prototype is visible. Add a small stylized pet in the scene, with body/head, eyes, legs and species-specific ears/tail: pet types are cat, dog, and bunny. Support pet fur colors, and accessories “bow,” “bandana,” and “collar,” each with a selectable accessory color.

Build-mode UI should be a dark translucent rounded-card interface over the 3D scene. At the top show the title “Dream Nest,” subtitle “Build your avatar, tune your home inside and out, and give your pet a whole look.” and a status label such as “Outside Studio” or “Inside Studio.” Provide Outside/Inside view buttons near the top left. Provide a lower editor panel with tabs Avatar, Outside, Inside, and Pet, plus a Randomize button. Each editor property appears as a card with a label, current value, and left/right arrow buttons to cycle options. Avatar properties: Skin tone, Top color, Accent color, Hair color, Hair style. Outside properties: House shape, Wall color, Roof shape, Roof color, Door color, Yard color. Inside properties: Floor color, Sofa style, Sofa color, Bed style, Bed color, Rug shape, Rug color. Pet properties: Pet type, Fur color, Accessory, Accessory color. Use readable light text, rounded controls, and touch-friendly sizing. Randomize should choose a random valid option for every avatar, house, interior, and pet property.

Explore mode should hide/relax the orbit editing behavior and provide a third-person camera following the currently controlled character from behind and above, looking toward them. In Outside Explore, constrain movement to the lot bounds; in Inside Explore, constrain movement to the room bounds. On desktop, WASD moves the player avatar and arrow keys move the friend simultaneously. On touch devices, show a virtual joystick that moves the active player and a “Control: You”/“Control: Friend” swap button that switches which character the joystick controls. Characters should turn toward movement and have subtle idle/walking-like arm and leg motion; use gentle bobbing for avatars and pet. Show an instructional helper line that changes between Build and Explore and between Outside and Inside, explaining orbit/customization or the movement controls. Keep the game as a customization and exploration sandbox with no score, combat, timers, inventory, or win condition.
