Make your own game

Daylight Dash was built by Aazib Khan with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Daylight Dash opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Daylight Dash

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a polished third-person 3D collection game titled “Daylight Dash.” Show a bright daytime arena under a clear sky-blue background, with soft atmospheric fog in the distance and warm directional sunlight/shadows. The play area is a large circular grassy disk, with a wide pale golden-green ring path around a raised dark blue-gray circular central plinth. Load and display the supplied landmark 3D model from the asset archive at the center of the plinth; scale it to fit as the mysterious daytime landmark, and use shadows on the ground and landmark.

The player is a small stylized humanoid runner positioned near the outer edge of the arena. Make the avatar a dark navy/blue capsule-like body with a glowing golden-yellow visor or face plate. Use a third-person camera that follows behind the player, with the player controlled in the arena. Support WASD and arrow-key movement through the third-person controller. Include a dash activated by Space: while held/activated, propel the player forward in the direction they are facing. Also provide mobile/touch controls at the bottom: a left circular button labeled with a left arrow and “MOVE,” a central circular button with a sparkle icon and “DASH,” and a right circular button with a right arrow and “TURN.”

Place exactly eight collectible sun shards around the central landmark in a circular arrangement, alternating between roughly inner and outer radii (approximately 11 and 16 world units). Each shard is a glowing warm yellow/gold faceted octahedral gem with a thin luminous ring around it, floating slightly above the ground and bobbing vertically while rotating. When the player comes within collection distance, hide the shard and increment the counter. The objective is to collect all eight shards before the timer expires. Start each run with 0/8 shards and 90 seconds. The run succeeds immediately after the eighth shard and displays a centered end card stating “Run complete!” and that every sun shard was collected, with a “Run again” button. If the timer reaches zero first, stop the run and show “The light faded,” explain how many shards were found, and offer “Run again.” Restarting resets the timer, score, player position, and all shards.

Add exactly five dark pulse hazard zones arranged around the arena’s outer region in a ring. Each is a flat, translucent dark circular disk on the ground, visibly pulsing in opacity. If the player enters one, continuously drain time faster (in addition to the normal countdown) and change the top-right instruction/status text to “Dark pulse! Keep moving.” Outside a pulse, show “WASD / arrows to move · Space to dash.” Do not add combat, enemies, weapons, lives, or other objectives.

Implement the HUD as a fixed overlay over the 3D view. In the upper-left, use a rounded dark translucent panel with subtle light border and shadow, showing the gold uppercase title “DAYLIGHT DASH,” a “Sun shards” row with bold “0 / 8” (updated during play), and a “Time” row with the remaining seconds (counted down from 90 and displayed as a rounded-up integer). In the upper-right, show the movement/dash instruction in bold pale cream text with a soft shadow. Before play begins, cover the scene with a translucent blue-dark overlay and center a rounded dark modal card. The card should have a large pale-gold “Daylight Dash” heading, explanatory text: “Collect every sun shard around the mysterious daytime landmark before the light fades. Avoid the dark pulse zones.” and a prominent yellow rounded “Start run” button. Keep the visual style clean, colorful, softly lit, and arcade-like, with dark navy UI contrasting against the bright sky, green arena, pale path, glowing gold collectibles, and central landmark.
