Make your own game

Dash & Know was built by Leonardo Moreno with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Dash & Know opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Dash & Know

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Rebuild a responsive mobile-first web game titled “Dash & Know,” a two-player trivia race played on one shared phone. Use a cheerful, polished, rounded UI with a pale pastel gradient page background (light blue at top-left blending through cream to lavender), dark navy text, white translucent cards with rounded corners, soft shadows, bold rounded/system typography, and touch-friendly buttons. Keep the layout usable in portrait and desktop widths.

Persistent top bar: show a checkered flag emoji and the brand “Dash & Know” on the left, and a rounded translucent badge reading “2 players · same phone” on the right.

Game flow/screens:
1. Home screen: a large centered white rounded card filling most of the available area. At the top/middle show the animated emoji trio “🦆🏃‍♀️💨”, followed by the huge title “Dash & Know,” subtitle “A fast two-player trivia race. Pick your characters, choose a category, and race to the finish line.” and a large dark navy button labeled “Choose characters.” Give the emoji/characters a subtle bobbing animation and the main button a pressed/depressed shadow effect.
2. Character selection screen: heading “Choose your racers” and subtitle “Each player taps one character. You can change it anytime.” Below, place two equal side-by-side rounded player cards. Player 1 has a blue accent/tag labeled “BLUE”; Player 2 has a pink accent/tag labeled “PINK.” Each card contains a four-column grid of selectable character tiles. The four options are Green Duck, Pink Duck, Purple Duck, and Yellow Climber, represented by colorful platform-game character sprite images; use the supplied Kenney-style sprite assets if available (green duck, pink duck, purple duck, and yellow climber). Tapping a tile selects it for that player, highlights it with a dark navy border, yellow background, and slight upward movement, and gently bobs the selected image. Under each grid show “Choose a character” until selected, then “[character name] is ready!” The “Choose a category” button remains disabled until both players have selected a character.
3. Category screen: centered card with “Pick the category,” subtitle “Both players answer the same questions.” Show two large touch buttons: green-tinted “🦁 Animals” and lavender-tinted “🌍 Countries.” Also provide a small “← Change characters” button returning to character selection.
4. Quiz/race screen: show a compact white rounded question card at the top. Its progress line should show the selected category (“🦁 Animals” or “🌍 Countries”) and “Question N”; beneath it show the current question in large bold text. Under the question, show two equal side-by-side player quiz panels, one blue-accented and one pink-accented. Each panel header says Player 1 or Player 2 and includes that player’s chosen character sprite plus “[number] correct.” Each panel independently displays the same three multiple-choice answers as large stacked buttons labeled “A. …”, “B. …”, and “C. …”. Both players tap their own answers on the shared screen. A selected answer becomes yellow with a dark outline and the panel says “Locked in ✓”; do not allow a player to change their answer. Wait until both players have answered, then reveal the result simultaneously: correct options become green, an incorrectly selected option becomes red, and unrelated options dim. A correct player’s message is “Correct! +1 step”; an incorrect player’s message is “Not quite — answer: [correct answer].” Only correct answers increase that player’s score and race position by one. After a short result pause of about 1.35 seconds, automatically advance to the next question unless somebody has reached the finish.

At the bottom of the quiz screen, show a rounded race card with “🏁 First to the finish wins” and a counter “[leading position] / 5.” Below it, draw a horizontal two-lane track with alternating pale stripe segments, a dashed lane divider, and a checkered finish marker at the right. Put Player 1’s selected sprite in the upper lane and Player 2’s selected sprite in the lower lane; both start near 3% from the left, and each correct answer moves that player toward the right by one of five steps. Animate movement smoothly. The finish threshold is exactly 5 correct answers/steps; the displayed counter uses the leading player’s position.

Question data must include these two categories, with three choices and one correct answer each, and shuffle the order of questions when a race begins:
Animals: “Which animal is known as the king of the jungle?” [Lion, Penguin, Dolphin] correct Lion; “What do bees make?” [Honey, Cheese, Popcorn] correct Honey; “Which animal can change its color to blend in?” [Chameleon, Giraffe, Walrus] correct Chameleon; “How many legs does a spider have?” [Six, Eight, Ten] correct Eight; “Which animal is the largest mammal?” [Blue whale, Elephant, Polar bear] correct Blue whale; “What is a baby frog called?” [Cub, Tadpole, Foal] correct Tadpole; “Which bird cannot fly?” [Eagle, Penguin, Sparrow] correct Penguin; “What do pandas mostly eat?” [Bamboo, Berries, Fish] correct Bamboo.
Countries: “What is the capital of France?” [Paris, Rome, Madrid] correct Paris; “Which country is shaped like a boot?” [Brazil, Italy, Canada] correct Italy; “What is the largest country by area?” [Russia, India, Egypt] correct Russia; “The pyramids of Giza are in which country?” [Peru, Greece, Egypt] correct Egypt; “Which country is famous for the Great Barrier Reef?” [Australia, Norway, Mexico] correct Australia; “What is the capital of Japan?” [Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing] correct Tokyo; “Which country has the maple leaf on its flag?” [Canada, Sweden, Kenya] correct Canada; “Machu Picchu is in which country?” [Chile, Peru, Spain] correct Peru.

5. Winner screen: once the first player reaches five steps, immediately show a centered white rounded winner card with a trophy emoji, a large animated image of the winning chosen character, “Player 1 wins!” or “Player 2 wins!”, and “[character name] sprinted to the finish with [number] correct answers.” Include a dark navy “Race again” button. Race again resets both character choices and returns to the home screen. Use pointer/touch input throughout, with clear disabled, selected, correct, wrong, and pressed states. Do not add lives, timers, power-ups, online multiplayer, or extra gameplay modes; this is specifically a simultaneous local two-player trivia race where the first player to get five answers correct wins.
