Make your own game

Battery Buddies was built by vission with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Battery Buddies opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Battery Buddies

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a responsive, touch-friendly educational mini-game called “Battery Buddies,” presented as a cheerful pastel safety-learning app for children. Use a warm cream-to-lilac gradient background with a soft white radial glow, thick dark charcoal outlines, rounded cards, chunky drop shadows, and playful typography: a rounded display font similar to Baloo for headings and a friendly sans-serif similar to Nunito for body text. The visual palette is yellow, coral pink, mint green, sky blue, peach, purple, and white.

Home screen: show a top bar with the “Battery Buddies” wordmark (purple “Battery,” coral “Buddies”) and a pill-shaped “📊 Progress” button. The hero has the eyebrow “TINY CHOICES. BIG SAFETY SKILLS.”, a large purple two-line title “Charge up your safety!”, and the subtitle “Help a cheerful battery crew make smart choices through quick, silly safety challenges.” Include yellow “Play the map 🗺️” and white “How to play?” buttons. On the right, draw a friendly green rectangular battery mascot with a darker green vertical side stripe, thick outline, yellow terminal cap, peach arms, dot eyes, pink cheeks, smiling mouth, sparkles, and a soft offset shadow. Beneath, show a large outlined safety-note panel titled “Today’s safety note” with: “Keep batteries away from extreme heat, and stop using any battery that is swollen, leaking, or damaged.”

Navigation is screen-based: Home, map, game, progress, leaderboard, badges, how-to-play, and settings. Buttons should switch screens without page reloads. The map screen has a top bar with Home, “Stage 1 · Safety Basics,” and “🏆 League,” then “Pick a safety stop.” Display five connected level cards along a slightly angled peach path: 1 “Introduction to Battery Disposal,” 2 “Safe Environment Simulation,” 3 “Battery Disposal · Garage,” 4 “Identify Hazards,” and 5 “Emergency Scenarios.” Use differently colored circular numbered nodes and star ratings. Initially only level 1 is unlocked; locked levels are greyed out with a lock and “Complete previous level.” Levels 1–3 are the actual playable experiences; levels 4–5 should remain prototype/locked-style entries rather than inventing gameplay. Add map buttons for Badges, Progress, and Settings.

Every playable run starts with three battery lives, a combo of zero, and a countdown timer. The game HUD has an Exit pill, three battery icons that become faded when lost, and a “Time left” horizontal progress bar. Losing a life resets the combo, advances to the next challenge, and shows corrective feedback. If all three lives are lost, show an “OH NO! 🔋” modal with the score and best combo plus “Try Again” and “Back to Map.” Correct answers stop the timer, add 100 points plus remaining-time bonus (10 points per remaining second), add an extra 50 points for combo x2 or higher, show green feedback and combo text, then advance after a short delay. Completing a level awards stars based on remaining lives (3 stars with all three lives, 2 with two, otherwise 1), unlocks the next map entry where applicable, awards completion points, and shows “Level complete!” with “Your battery-safety skills are fully charged.”

Level 1, “Introduction to Battery Disposal,” is a timed multiple-choice quiz with three challenges and a 12-second starting limit that decreases by challenge index but never goes below 7 seconds. Render four large outlined, shadowed answer buttons in a two-column grid with alternating pale yellow, blue, and pink fills. Challenge 1: title “Choose the right bin”; ask “Old household batteries should go where?” Correct answer: “♻️ Certified recycling or hazardous-waste collection.” Incorrect answers: standard household trash, compost bin, and down the sink. Feedback explains that recycling keeps useful materials and hazards out of ordinary trash. Challenge 2: “Spot the safe habit”; ask “Which action is safest when a battery is swollen or leaking?” Correct: “🧤 Stop using it and seek special handling.” Incorrect: hide it in a drawer, puncture it, or put it near a heater. Challenge 3: “Last quick check”; ask “Before recycling a loose battery, what can help prevent contact between terminals?” Correct: “🟨 Cover the terminals with tape.” Incorrect: rinse it, place it beside a magnet, or wrap it with candy paper. Mark selected answers green or red and show safety tips.

Level 2, “Safe Environment Simulation,” is a timed left-versus-right scenario game with three challenges and a 10-second starting limit, again no lower than 7 seconds. The instruction is “Tap the SAFE side before time runs out.” Present two large side-by-side scene buttons, each with emoji-style art, a LEFT/RIGHT label, and a multiline caption. Simulation A compares “🔌 🪵” / “Hard, flat surface away from pillows” (safe, left) against “🔌 🛏️ 📄” / “Bed, blankets, and papers” (unsafe, right); explain that hard, clear surfaces reduce overheating while charging. Simulation B compares “🔋 🗄️” / “Cool, dry, ventilated cabinet” (safe, left) against “🔋 💧” / “Damp, wet storage area” (unsafe, right); explain cool, dry storage reduces corrosion and short-circuit risks. Simulation C compares “🔋 ♻️” / “Certified recycling facility” (safe, left) against “🔋 🗑️” / “Standard household trash” (unsafe, right); explain certified collection is safer for old or damaged batteries. Give incorrect choices red feedback and remove a life.

Level 3, “Battery Disposal · Garage Sorting,” is a timed sorting activity with an 18-second starting limit. Use a cozy illustrated garage/workbench panel with a tan wood-like gradient, the heading “🛠️ Cozy garage workbench,” and the instruction “Tap a battery, then tap the correct collection container.” Show four selectable rounded battery labels: “🔋 Healthy AA” and “🔋 Fresh coin cell” belong in general batteries; “🩹 Swollen pack” and “💧 Leaking battery” belong in damaged batteries. After selecting an item, highlight it with a purple outline, then tap either a green dashed “🟢 General batteries” bin or a red/pink dashed “🔴 Damaged batteries” bin. Correctly placed items disappear and show “✅ Nice match — keep sorting!”; incorrect containers cost a life and show guidance to check whether the battery is healthy or damaged. Completing all four gives “Perfect sorting! Damaged batteries are separated for special handling.”

Include a Progress screen with “Your Progress,” a battery journey panel showing live Points, Stars, Levels as completed/5, and League (Bronze until points reach 8000, then Silver), plus a topics-learned panel listing checked “Charging safety,” “Heat risks,” and “Damaged batteries,” and locked “Safe storage,” “Disposal choices,” and “Real-life scenarios.” Include a Friendly League leaderboard with fixed visible competitors SunnySpark (12,800, five stars), VoltViolet (10,450, four stars), Wattson (5,780, two stars), and a highlighted “You” row with live points and stars. Include a Badge Board with cards that can unlock: Battery Beginner (complete first level), Fully Charged (finish with all lives), Quick Reflexes (answer with time to spare), Eco Saver (sort batteries safely), Safety First (complete Stage 1 basics), and Risk Spotter (identify a hazard); locked badges should be faded and greyscale. Include a How to Play screen stating: “1️⃣ Read the tiny scenario. 2️⃣ Tap, drag, or choose the safest action before the timer runs out. 3️⃣ Keep your battery lives glowing and build a combo!” with a button to the map. Include a simple Cozy settings screen showing “🔊 Sound effects: On,” “🎵 Lo-fi mode: Ready,” and “🌈 Pastel mode: On.”

Keep all interactions as large buttons suitable for touch. Use clear green success feedback, coral/red failure feedback, animated countdown bar width, modal completion/failure overlays, and responsive layouts that collapse hero content and level grids for narrow screens. Do not add combat, enemies, inventory, or unrelated mechanics; the core loop is choosing safe battery practices quickly, preserving three battery lives, building combos, earning points/stars, and progressing through the safety map.
