Astro Kart was built by Nelson Tam with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Astro Kart opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a browser-based 3D arcade kart racer titled “Astro Kart,” using a warm nostalgic low-poly aesthetic and a third-person chase camera. The scene is built from simple geometric meshes with Three.js-style lighting: a pale blue-to-cream sky, fog, bright green grass ground, and a dark gray looping road with cream edge strips, gold dashed center markings, a dark red start stripe with checker hint, and alternating cream/red low barrier posts along both sides. The track is a broad irregular oval/loop in an open grassy landscape, with distant low-poly green hills, pink faceted cherry-blossom-like trees, small warm lanterns, and two red-and-black torii gates near the start and far straight. The player drives a stylized cream-colored kart with red trim, black seat and wheels, red wheel rims, a rear thruster, and a front-right heat gun. A small robot-boy driver sits in it: blue suit/body, peach face, black hair with two upward-pointing tufts, and red boots. Add three AI rivals with distinct kart/driver color schemes: blue with gold trim (named ATLAS), red with cream trim (named ROOKIE), and green with gold trim (named CHERRY). All four karts start in a staggered grid and follow the same three-lap circuit. Use a responsive chase camera positioned behind and above the player, smoothly following its heading and looking ahead toward the road. Core gameplay: the player automatically accelerates while the race is active, but can control speed and steering. Desktop controls are W or Up Arrow to accelerate, S or Down Arrow to brake/reverse, A/D or Left/Right Arrows to steer, Shift to amplify steering for drifting, and Space to fire the gun. On touch devices, show a left virtual joystick for steering/acceleration and a large FIRE button on the right; joystick upward movement accelerates. The kart has arcade physics with acceleration up to roughly 30 speed units, braking/deceleration, steering that becomes stronger at speed, track-edge correction that slows/pushes karts back onto the road, and visual wheel rotation/rear flame while firing. The heat-gun is an auto-targeting weapon: while fire is held, fire small glowing spherical projectiles toward the nearest rival within about 40 units. The gun fires rapidly, adds heat with each shot, and cools slowly while firing and quickly when released. At 100% it overheats and cannot fire until cooled to about 45%. Projectiles travel quickly and disappear after a short lifetime or on impact. A hit damages the target by 18 HP, halves its speed, briefly makes it spin, and applies a small knockback. Rivals drive along future track waypoints with mild lateral wobble, slow for sharp turns, occasionally boost, and occasionally fire at nearby opponents. Give each kart 100 HP with gradual regeneration when not spinning; HP is not a knockout condition in the implemented race, but impacts affect movement. Race flow: begin with a full-screen menu overlay over a radial cream/orange background. Display the small spaced red heading “NOSTALGIC RACING,” the large “ASTRO KART” title, explanatory copy about auto heat-guns overheating and racing three laps, keyboard/touch controls, and a large red “START RACE” button with dark outline and shadow. Clicking starts a brief “GET READY” countdown, then show “GO!” and begin the race. The player completes three laps; show transient centered lap messages and finish with a full-screen result overlay reading “YOU WIN!” if first or “P2 / 4,” etc., the race time, and a red “RACE AGAIN” button that reloads/restarts the game. During racing, display a bold retro HUD: top-left cream panel with red border reading “LAP 1/3” (updating through the race), top-right dark panel showing current position such as “P1/4,” a small square minimap below the lap panel showing the red track outline and colored dots for all karts with the player highlighted, a vertical HEAT GUN gauge on the right with yellow/orange/red fill and an overheated dark/red appearance, a bottom-left green HP bar, and a bottom-right KM/H speed readout. Keep the visual language playful and chunky: Trebuchet MS/Arial Black-like typography, cream, red, charcoal, gold, blue, pink, and green colors, soft shadows, simple low-poly forms, and bright directional lighting. Do not add weapons, powerups, extra tracks, lives, or features beyond this single three-lap weaponized kart race.
