How to play

Click the game above and it runs right here in your browser. No download, no installer, no account needed. Mkt Injast built it with Cinevva, so it works on a phone or a tablet too.

Make your own game

Asset Inspector was built by Mkt Injast with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Asset Inspector opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Asset Inspector

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based 3D asset inspection viewer titled “Asset Inspector,” using Three.js and the supplied asset archive at assets/cadf8ff9_b871_4d32_a0fa_9346b1.zip. This is an interactive model viewer rather than an action game: on startup fetch and unzip the archive, locate the first OBJ file, optionally locate its MTL file and any PNG/JPG/JPEG/WEBP textures, and load the OBJ with OBJLoader and the MTL/material definitions with MTLLoader. Resolve texture references from inside the zip so the uploaded model appears with its intended materials. Show the resulting model centered on a large dark circular ground platform, with a dark navy background and matching distant fog. Use a perspective camera initially around position (3.2, 2.2, 4.2), with a 50-degree field of view, and allow the user to orbit, pan, and zoom using damped OrbitControls. Light the scene with a bright cool hemisphere light and a strong white directional/sun light from above/front-right; enable shadows, make the loaded meshes cast and receive shadows, and make the circular ground receive shadows. Normalize the asset automatically: compute its bounding box, center it at the origin, uniformly scale its largest dimension to about 2.2 world units, and place its base on the ground. Compute vertex normals for loaded geometry where position data exists. Slowly rotate the inspected model around its Y axis continuously while still allowing manual orbit camera control.

Add a small fixed status panel in the upper-left corner, styled as white system UI text on a translucent black rounded rectangle. Initially display “Inspecting uploaded 3D model…”. Once loading succeeds, display “Loaded model from zip,” the archive’s contained file basenames, the mesh count, the OBJ vertex count formatted with thousands separators, and the normalized preview dimensions in X × Y × Z format rounded to two decimals. If loading fails, display “Could not inspect model:” followed by the error message. The page should fill the viewport with no scrollbars; use a responsive WebGL canvas that updates the camera aspect ratio and renderer size on window resize. Preserve the restrained visual style visible in the reference: nearly black/navy (#111827) background and fog, slate-blue ground (#263247), no gameplay HUD, enemies, score, lives, weapons, or extra menus. The only main content is the uploaded 3D asset and its inspection readout.
