Make your own game

Arc Reactor was built by Garin Bogatzke with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Arc Reactor opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Arc Reactor

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based third-person 3D action game titled “Arc Reactor,” using a procedural low-poly sci-fi style and an original armored hero design (do not use protected character assets). Use an orthographic-feeling but perspective third-person chase camera, dark navy environments, cyan emissive lighting, translucent glass UI panels, and simple geometric meshes with strong red, gold, blue, and metallic materials.

The game has two sequential modes. Begin in a high-tech workshop: a large enclosed rectangular room with a dark floor, three bright cyan glowing floor strips, blue-gray walls, a circular metallic assembly pad with a cyan ring, benches at the back sides, a glass suit display case, and a blocky red-and-gold armored suit displayed on the assembly pad. The playable armored hero is also a small blocky red armored figure with a gold helmet and gold boots, a blue circular chest core, and red rectangular arms. Follow the hero from behind and above, smoothly looking toward the character.

In the workshop, the goal is to find and install five floating, rotating, glowing geometric suit parts distributed around the room: Helmet, Chest Core, Gauntlets, Boot Jets, and AI Chip. Represent each as a glowing colored icosahedron surrounded by a thin cyan halo ring. Place them around the room at separated positions. Move the hero with WASD or arrow keys; update the facing direction to movement direction. When the hero is close to an uncollected part, show an objective prompt such as “Tap or press E to install: [part name].” Press E or click/tap the part to collect it. Each collected part disappears, increments Parts, and adds 150 score. Until then, show “Build the suit: collect X/5 parts. Move with WASD or arrows.” After all five are collected, mark the suit complete, brighten the chest core, show a message that the suit is built, and reveal three bottom action buttons: “Upgrade armor,” “Build power modules,” and “Launch over Brooklyn.”

After completion, allow armor upgrades up to Armor Mk 5 via U or the upgrade button. Each upgrade increases armor level, raises maximum energy to 100 plus 12 per armor level, increases flight speed, adds 300 score, and displays a brief colored pulse around the hero. Allow up to four power modules via P or the power button. Each module adds 280 score; the first unlocks repulsor beams and later modules improve firing cooldown and flight speed. The player may choose upgrades/modules repeatedly before launching.

The launch button or F switches to city flight mode. Hide the workshop and reveal a large procedural Brooklyn-inspired city map: a dark ground plane, a grid of broad asphalt streets, blocks of varied-height box buildings with occasional brick coloration and rows of glowing blue windows, a green park area with many simple low-poly trees, a blue river strip, and a simple bridge with two towers and a span. Add pale clustered low-poly clouds high above the city. Spawn 18 dark spherical training drones with small glowing cyan eyes at varied positions and altitudes; have them orbit around their starting centers.

In flight, place the armored hero in the air near the city edge at altitude 45 and use a third-person chase camera behind and above, aimed forward. WASD/arrows steer: A/D turn left/right, W/S pitch altitude up/down. The hero automatically flies forward. Clamp flight altitude between 10 and 145 and the city bounds roughly between -210 and 210. Display the objective “Fly Brooklyn: WASD/arrows steer, Shift boosts, Space fires repulsors.” Holding Shift boosts speed, drains energy, and increases boost heat; releasing it regenerates energy and cools boost heat. Energy is capped at 100 plus the armor-level bonus, and boost heat is capped at 100.

Training drones can be tagged by flying close to them, awarding 50 score and hiding the drone with a brief message. If at least one power module is installed and energy is at least 5, Space or the on-screen REPULSOR control fires a short-lived cyan cylindrical beam forward. Deduct 4 energy per shot, use a cooldown that gets shorter with more power modules, and allow the beam to hit the nearest visible drone within 80 units and an 8-unit lateral tolerance, awarding 250 plus 50 per power module and hiding the hit drone. Continue showing remaining Drones and score.

Use a fixed HUD over the canvas. At top left, show a dark translucent rounded panel with cyan border containing the current objective. At top right, show rounded statistic chips for Parts 0/5, Armor Mk, Powers, Energy, Drones remaining, and Score. Show temporary large centered messages for events such as collecting parts, completing the suit, launching, drone flybys, and repulsor hits. On touch devices show translucent on-screen controls: a four-direction movement pad at bottom left, plus large BOOST and REPULSOR buttons at bottom right. Make buttons and controls touch-friendly, with no scrolling and a dark navy background. The overall visual presentation should match a clean, minimal Three.js prototype: soft shadows, fog, cyan emissive highlights, simple low-poly geometry, and smooth camera interpolation.
