In September 2024, Mariana took the stage at DNA Lounge in San Francisco to talk about something close to our hearts: building a game engine while figuring out how to fund it.

The talk covered the real questions founders face — is VC right for you? What does it actually take to build an engine from scratch? And how are TikTok and AI changing the rules of game development? If you're curious about the startup side of Cinevva, this is a good place to start.

Draper University — Hero Training ​

Back in Fall 2022, Mariana flew to Silicon Valley for Draper University's Hero Training — an intense program where founders get thrown into entrepreneurial challenges, learn to pitch under pressure, and figure out how to work as a team (sometimes the hard way).

DraperTV filmed the whole thing. The result is a five-part documentary series called "We're Training Heroes" that captures the highs, the lows, and everything in between.

Each episode is about 5-6 minutes — short enough to watch on a break, real enough to learn something.
