Make your own game

Truth Reactor was built by Adam Sowers with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Truth Reactor opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Truth Reactor

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a mobile-first 3D investigation game titled “Truth Reactor,” built as a single-screen Three.js-style sci-fi lab scene with HTML HUD overlays. The camera is a high, slightly top-down perspective looking toward the center of a circular Helix Dome chamber. Use a dark navy background/fog, soft blue lighting, glossy low-poly materials, and a futuristic neon aesthetic. The floor is a large dark metallic circular platform with a glowing blue torus ring around the investigation area. In the center place a reactor: a dark cylindrical base, a floating faceted pale-blue/blue-emissive icosahedron orb, a transparent cylindrical containment glass, and six evenly spaced vertical cyan energy beams. The orb rotates and gently bobs, the central ring pulses, and all ten suspects subtly hover/bob.

Arrange exactly ten stylized low-poly scientist/suspect figures evenly around the outer ring, each on a small metallic circular pedestal. Each figure is a colored capsule-like body with a shiny pale visor/head dome, a colored glowing torus/aura around the pedestal, and a floating rounded rectangular number label above them (1 through 10) with a matching colored outline. Make the figures selectable by tapping/clicking their body or pedestal; highlight the selected body with stronger color emissive glow, brighten its aura, and slightly enlarge its pedestal. Keep the camera fixed; selection is by pointer/raycast rather than character movement.

The ten suspects and exact investigation data are: 1 Dr. Vale, Lead physicist, blue, residue “clean shutdown foam on coat cuffs,” thought “I was sealing the breach. Someone wanted me blamed.” He is innocent and is the person everyone initially assumes is evil. 2 Mira Flint, Security chief, orange, residue “trace iron dust from blast doors,” thought “If I wanted sabotage, I would not still be here yelling about evacuation routes.” 3 Oren Pike, Prototype engineer, green, residue “copper coolant and machine grease,” thought “I tune coils. I do not write fake access logs.” 4 Suri Nox, Quantum botanist, purple, residue “pollen spark from growth pods,” thought “The reactor scared my plants before it screamed. That means the sabotage came from inside the shield ring.” 5 Jax Rune, Courier pilot, yellow, residue “ionized dust from the landing pad,” thought “I only dropped the serum crate. I do not even know the shutdown phrase.” 6 Leda Crown, Ethics auditor, cyan/teal, residue “paper seal wax and archive dust,” thought “Everyone looked at Vale because it was easy. The logs were too tidy — staged tidy.” 7 Cass Vey, Bio-hacker, magenta/violet, residue “violet reactor ash mixed with illegal phase ink,” thought “I never touched the core... not after hearing the phrase Axiom Gate. Stop looking at my left glove.” She is the real villain; her description should mention a perfect smile, singed black left glove, and missing silver stabilizer ring. 8 Bram Holt, Containment medic, light blue, residue “sterile frost from med foam canisters,” thought “I treated burn victims. If you smell ozone on me, it came from saving them.” 9 Nyra Sol, Power grid diver, pink, residue “ozone and cable resin from the lower conduit,” thought “The saboteur knew exactly when the backup lattice would blink. That is insider timing.” 10 Tovin March, Chronology intern, lime green, residue “chalk marker and timeline dust,” thought “Time anomalies smear memory. Mine too. But I saw one silver glove at the console.”

At startup show a centered dark translucent intro overlay titled “Truth Reactor.” Explain that the player storms the Helix Dome to stop an evil scientist, then discovers the blamed scientist was trying to shut down the machine; one of ten people is the real saboteur. Include instructions to tap a suspect, use Spectrum Scan and Thought Trace, use Core Echo to reveal the truth, and use Time Freeze for more time. Start the round only after a large “Start Investigation” button is pressed.

Provide a fixed HUD over the 3D scene. At the top show pill-shaped dark translucent badges for “Time: 120,” the objective, and “10 suspects.” The objective begins as “Objective: stop the ‘evil scientist’” and changes after the twist to “Objective: accuse the hidden saboteur.” On the left/upper-left, show a translucent selected-suspect panel with selected number/name, role, description, a changing hint, and a scrollable clue log. Start the log with: “Find the real saboteur. Everyone thinks Dr. Vale is the villain — prove or break that story.” At the bottom show large touch-friendly buttons in a two-column layout: “Spectrum Scan (6),” “Thought Trace (4),” “Core Echo (3),” “Time Freeze (2),” plus a full-width warning-red “Accuse Selected Suspect.” Buttons are disabled before the investigation starts, after game over, or when their charges are empty. Use dark navy translucent panels with rounded corners, blue/purple gradients for powers, gold styling for story clues, and red/orange styling for accusation.

Implement the core loop with a 120-second countdown that begins when Start Investigation is pressed. The timer visibly counts down; when it reaches zero, end the game with the title “The Dome Collapsed” and text that time ran out and the unstable experiment consumed the chamber before the saboteur could be exposed. Time Freeze consumes one of two charges, adds exactly 20 seconds, produces a brief cool blue flash/change to the scene, and logs “Time Freeze — you stole 20 more seconds from the collapsing timeline.”

Spectrum Scan consumes one of six charges and reveals the selected suspect’s exact residue clue in the log, prefixed “Spectrum Scan — [name]:”. Thought Trace consumes one of four charges and reveals the selected suspect’s exact thought line, prefixed “Thought Trace — [name]:”. Give extra hint text: innocent Vale’s thought suggests the story may be backwards; Cass’s evidence feels wrong because of the left glove, denial, and keyword slip; other suspects encourage comparing clues. Core Echo consumes one of three charges and reveals one story evidence entry per use, in order: “Someone entered the shutdown lattice before the overload. The original target was saving the city, not destroying it.” Then “Dr. Vale did not arm the machine — they sealed a rupture and got framed in the process.” Then “Security ghosts show the saboteur had violet reactor ash, a singed left glove, and knowledge of the phrase ‘Axiom Gate.’” After at least the second echo, mark the twist as seen and update the objective/hints to explain that the “evil scientist” is innocent. Keep a rolling clue log of recent entries, with story entries in gold.

The player can accuse at any point after starting by pressing “Accuse Selected Suspect.” If the selected suspect is Cass Vey, end with “You Found the Saboteur” and explain that Cass was the real villain, Dr. Vale was trying to stop the experiment, and the powers exposed the frame-up before the Helix Dome tore itself apart. If any other suspect is selected, end with “Wrong Scientist” and explain that the suspect was not the saboteur and the real villain slipped deeper into the dome. Show a centered dark end overlay and a “Play Again” button that resets the timer, charges, clue log, story stage, selection, and all visuals. Include subtle animated reactor rotation, bobbing orb, rotating suspect auras, pulsing ring emissive light, and a short selected-suspect pulse after scanning. Support pointer/touch controls and responsive layout for phone screens.
