Make your own game

The Endless Night was built by Scripted Fate with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix The Endless Night opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for The Endless Night

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a first-person atmospheric endless night-driving game titled “The Endless Night.” Use a Three.js-style 3D scene viewed from inside a vehicle, with the camera fixed at driver eye level behind a dark dashboard and hood. The windshield view should dominate the screen: a straight wet-black asphalt road extends into dense blue-black fog, with a pale broken center line and wide dark shoulders. Place tall pine trees intermittently along both sides of the road, using dark silhouettes and subdued moonlit materials. The scene should be nearly monochrome navy/charcoal with cool blue moonlight, subtle reflective road shading, and a soft bright headlight beam/pool illuminating the road ahead. Add light rain as many small translucent streak/point particles moving down and toward the vehicle. Keep the camera in the cabin while the road, trees, rain, and a brief atmospheric event stream toward the player to create the endless-motion illusion.

The vehicle interior should be minimal but visible at the bottom of the view: a low dark dashboard, a slightly reflective dark hood, a simple black steering wheel on the lower left, a few small warm orange dashboard gauge lights, and a faint blue-gray windshield tint. Add a subtle warm dashboard point light and cool moon fill. Use exponential fog so distant road and trees dissolve into darkness. The visual style is cinematic, sparse, ominous, low-saturation, and quiet rather than colorful or action-oriented.

On the HUD, overlay the title “THE ENDLESS NIGHT” in small spaced uppercase letters at the top left. At the top right show two live readouts: a three-digit speed value followed by “MPH” and a four-digit traveled-distance value followed by “M”; start them at “000 MPH” and “0000 M.” At the bottom center show the instruction “ARROWS / A D TO STEER · W OR ↑ TO DRIVE · SPACE TO TOGGLE RADIO.” On touch/coarse-pointer devices, show three translucent controls at the lower left: left arrow, a wide DRIVE button, and right arrow. The controls should be dark glass-like buttons with pale blue borders/text.

Before play, show a centered translucent dark rectangular button labeled “START ENGINE,” with smaller text “headphones recommended” below it. Clicking/tapping it starts the drive, hides the prompt, and fades away any initial overlay. The game should also respond to keyboard controls: Left Arrow or A steers left, Right Arrow or D steers right, W or Up Arrow accelerates/drives, and Down Arrow or S slows/brakes. Steering should smoothly move the cabin/camera laterally a small amount and subtly roll/yaw the view; it is not lane-based and there are no collisions or enemies. With no drive key held, cruise at a moderate speed; holding drive raises the speed substantially; holding brake reduces it to a low speed. Update speed as a rounded MPH-like value and distance continuously as the vehicle travels.

Implement the endless road by moving the tree group and repeating/resetting environmental elements behind the stationary cabin as distance increases. Let the run continue until roughly 980 meters, then fade the screen to black, reset distance and speed, and smoothly begin another night drive. At about 520 meters, create one brief unsettling roadside silhouette event: a small dark humanoid-like figure/tree-line silhouette appears on the left side far ahead for approximately two seconds, then disappears; it should not attack, collide, or become a recurring enemy. It is purely a fleeting visual scare and should trigger only once per run.

Include ambient audio behavior: begin audio after the start interaction or first control input, with a low engine oscillator whose pitch rises with speed, looping rain ambience, and a very quiet radio-like tonal signal. Space toggles the radio signal on/off; the visual HUD does not need a radio display. The game should work with mouse/touch start interaction and mobile hold buttons, preserve the dark full-screen presentation, and resize the perspective view with the window. Do not add weapons, score, health, collectibles, traffic, branching roads, or other gameplay systems not described here.
