Make your own game

The Abandoned Hospital was built by Nanu Gaydhane with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix The Abandoned Hospital opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for The Abandoned Hospital

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based first-person 3D survival-horror exploration game titled “THE ABANDONED HOSPITAL,” built with Three.js. Use a dark, cold, low-detail abandoned hospital interior viewed through an FPS camera with mouse look and pointer lock. The scene should have a nearly black blue-gray background, heavy blue-gray exponential fog, dim hemisphere/moon lighting, flickering ceiling lamps, and a strong handheld flashlight cone attached to the camera. Use a restrained realistic blockout aesthetic: dirty gray-green concrete walls and floors, dark ceiling, rusty brown props, deep red blood stains and emergency lighting, pale clinical surfaces, and deep shadows. Add subtle red vignette/fear feedback when the enemy is close.

Start on a centered dark translucent introduction panel with a thin gray border. Show the large spaced title “THE ABANDONED HOSPITAL,” the text “You wake beneath the old west wing. Five keys. Three documents. One way out.”, and controls: “WASD move · mouse look · Shift run · F flashlight · E interact · C crouch · Esc release mouse”. Include a red “ENTER THE HOSPITAL” button. After starting, hide the intro, lock the mouse if possible, show a tiny center crosshair, and show HUD panels: upper-left VITALS with Health, Stamina, Flashlight, Keys (0/5), Documents (0/3); upper-right OBJECTIVE listing the current collection objectives and the interaction controls.

Build the hospital as a long rectangular shell approximately 32 units wide and extending from z=14 to z=-38, with floor and ceiling, outer side walls, end walls, and corridor/room partitions. Spawn the player near the west-wing entrance at about (0, 0.25, 10). Include a non-player collision system for walls and closed doors. Dress the left-side patient rooms with three rusty patient beds at roughly z=-6, 1, and 8, pale pillows, IV stands, and dark blood stains along the wall/floor. Place a morgue area farther down the left side around z=-22 and z=-30, with pale morgue tables and black body bags. In the operating wing around z=-20 to -23, place three overhead operating lights and rusty operating tables. Add multiple small ceiling lamps that visibly flicker in brightness, plus a dim blue-gray central light and occasional flickering illumination; place a dim red point light near the far end.

Use three interactive doors: an initially unlocked West Wing door around (0,4), a locked Operating Theater door around (8,-18), and a locked Underground Laboratory door around (0,-35), visually rusty/brown when closed and dark teal-gray when open. Closed doors block movement. Press E near a door to toggle it. The operating door requires at least one key. The lab door requires all five keys and all three documents; on satisfying that condition, opening/interacting with the lab gate ends the game with a victory panel titled “THE TRUTH” and text explaining that the underground laboratory reveals what the hospital made of its missing patients. Also allow the west exit to trigger “YOU ESCAPED” once all five keys and three documents have been collected and the player reaches the far west/exit condition represented by the player being beyond z=12; use the existing victory wording about forcing open the west exit and running into the storm.

Place exactly five small gold hidden keys and exactly three pale secret documents in the hospital, matching these locations: keys near (-12,-6), (12,1), (-12,-23), (5,-25), and (-5,-33); documents near (-12,8), (5,-6), and (-5,-25). They should be low-profile rectangular/cuboid pickups on the floor or nearby surfaces. Press E within interaction range to collect a visible key or document, making it disappear and incrementing the HUD. The objective panel should say “Find the 5 hidden keys.” until complete and “All keys found.” afterward, and likewise “Recover 3 secret documents.” / “Documents complete.”

Add a faceless watcher enemy, represented by a tall black humanoid/alien model with a roughly 2.2 scale, initially around (12,0,-26). It should wander occasionally within the hospital bounds when unaware. It detects the player when the player is within about 13 units and the flashlight is on, then pursues at about 2.1 units/second; it can also hear a moving player within about 8 units and pursue more slowly at about 1.25 units/second. The flashlight therefore helps visibility but exposes the player. When the watcher is within about 7 units, show a dark red fear vignette; when within about 1.5 units, continuously drain health, and at zero health show a centered game-over panel titled “YOU WERE FOUND” with the message “The faceless watcher followed your breathing through the dark.” Include a RESTART button that reloads the game.

Implement movement with WASD, mouse look, jumping/gravity through the FPS controls, Shift sprinting, and C as a crouch/hidden toggle. Normal speed is about 3.2 and sprint speed about 5.2; while hidden/crouching, movement is slower around 1.3. Stamina starts at 100, drains while Shift is held and regenerates otherwise; if depleted, return to normal movement speed. Health starts at 100. Flashlight starts on with battery at 100, drains while on at roughly 0.7 per second, can be toggled with F, and automatically turns off at zero. Keep the HUD dark translucent with thin pale borders, compact system-style typography, and a red action button consistent with the title screen. The overall goal is to collect five keys and three documents, evade the watcher, and escape through the hospital’s exit/laboratory route.
