Arcade › Studio Sprint
Run a tiny YouTube studio for 7 days: record clips, edit them, choose titles and thumbnails, then upload for views and subscribers. Keep morale alive and race to 1,000 subs.
Click the game above and it runs right here in your browser. No download, no installer, no account needed. Jim Crapp built it with Cinevva, so it works on a phone or a tablet too.
Nobody has said anything about Studio Sprint yet. Play it, then tell Jim Crapp what you would add next.
Studio Sprint was built by Jim Crapp with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Studio Sprint opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a 3D isometric creator studio management game called "Studio Sprint" set in a colorful low-poly room. The camera is a fixed orthographic view from an elevated diagonal angle looking down at the studio floor. **Player:** A blocky low-poly character (Kenney blocky character model or a simple cylinder body with sphere head as fallback in blue/yellow colors) that moves around the studio floor. Control with WASD or arrow keys. The player can walk freely within the studio boundaries, facing the direction of movement (north/south/east/west). **Studio Environment:** A bright, cheerful 2.5D room with: - Yellow wooden floor with a large pink rectangular rug in the recording area - Cream and light blue walls (only three walls visible: back wall and left wall fully, right wall partial) - White trim baseboards along walls - Light blue sky background with distance fog **Four Interactive Stations with glowing ring indicators:** 1. RECORD (Camera Desk) - Bottom-left area: Desk with camera on tripod facing a pink rug recording area with two standing softbox lights. Yellow "RECORD" label sign above. 2. EDIT (Editing PC) - Top-center: Desk with monitor, keyboard, mouse, and chair. Light blue "EDIT" label sign on wall. 3. THUMBNAIL (Thumbnail Board) - Top-right: Yellow vertical board with colorful card samples (red, blue, green rectangles). Pink "THUMBNAIL" label sign. 4. UPLOAD (Upload Station) - Bottom-right: Green pedestal platform with large red circular button and white upward arrow on top. Green "UPLOAD" label sign. Each station has a white glowing torus ring on the floor that pulses and brightens when the player is nearby. **Furniture & Props:** Low-poly 3D models including two desks, two chairs, floor lamp in corner, camera on tripod, computer monitor/keyboard/mouse, green cylinder plant pot with leaves, white shelf with red plaque decoration. **Core Gameplay Loop (7-day time management):** - Each in-game day has 120 seconds (2 minutes) of studio time shown in top-left HUD - Player must complete a video production pipeline in sequence: Record → Edit → Choose Title/Thumbnail → Upload **Task System:** When near a station (within glowing ring radius), press Space, click mouse, or tap the yellow "Interact" button (bottom-right corner). This opens a timed mini-game overlay: - Dark blue panel appears showing station name, task title, progress bar (0/beats), and countdown timer - Player must rapidly press Space/click/tap to fill progress beats before timer expires - Success: Task completes, progress to next step. Failure: Timer runs out, morale drops 14 points, work is lost - Record task: 8 seconds, 8 beats required - Edit task: 10 seconds, 10 beats required - Thumbnail task: 8 seconds, 7 beats required (leads to choice screen) - Upload task: 7 seconds, 8 beats required **Choice System:** After completing thumbnail task, a dark overlay appears with three packaging choices (title + thumbnail strategy): 1. "Cozy Studio Vlog" - Lower views (0.85x), higher subscriber conversion (1.15x), +4 morale - described as "warm thumbnail" 2. "I Tried This For 24 Hours" - Balanced views (1.2x), normal conversion (1.0x), neutral morale - described as "bold challenge face" 3. "You Won't Believe This Setup" - High views (1.55x), lower conversion (0.85x), -8 morale - described as "high-hype reaction" **HUD Display (top of screen, rounded white cards with icons):** - 👁 Views: 0 (cumulative across all uploads) - 👤 Subs: 0 / 1,000 (goal progress) - 💛 Morale: 100 (starts at 100, range 0-100) - 📅 Day: 1 / 7 - ⏰ Studio Time: 01:25 (countdown MM:SS format each day) **Center Quest Panel (dark blue box):** Shows current objective with yellow title and gray body text: - Initial: "Start a video" / "Record your first short clip." - Updates dynamically: "Edit the clips", "Choose packaging", "Upload ready", etc. - Shows last message when not in active task **Morale Mechanics:** - Drops: -3 per recording, -1 when trying blocked station, -10 at day rollover, -8 or -14 from risky choices/failures - Recovers: +2 editing, +6 uploading, +4 from cozy choice - Game over if morale reaches 0 **Day Cycle:** - When studio time hits 0:00, day advances automatically - Unfinished videos (recorded but not uploaded) are discarded - Morale penalty of -10 for wasting the day - Day counter increments (max 7 days) **Upload Results:** Videos generate views and subscribers based on: - Base range (120-210 views + bonus per previous upload) - Package multiplier (choice from thumbnail stage) - Day multiplier (1 + day × 0.08, videos get more traction later) - Morale multiplier (0.75 + morale/160) - Subscribers = views/10 × package sub multiplier × random 0.85-1.25 - Message shows "+[views] views and +[subs] subscribers" **Win/Lose Conditions:** - WIN: Reach 1,000 subscribers within 7 days → "1,000 Subs!" overlay with congratulations message - LOSE: Morale hits 0 → "Studio Burnout" message showing final stats - LOSE: Day 7 ends without reaching 1,000 subs → "Time ran out" message **Art Style:** Clean low-poly 3D with flat-shaded colorful materials (pink/yellow/blue/green/white/cream palette), soft shadows, and a cheerful Kenney asset-pack aesthetic. Isometric-style orthographic camera creates a diorama toy-like appearance. White glowing UI elements and rings provide clear interactivity feedback. **UI Elements:** "Interact" button (large yellow rounded button, bottom-right), "Restart Studio" button (appears on game-over screen), near-station prompt indicator, task overlay with progress bar, choice selection overlay with three button options, and end-game overlay with title/body/restart.
