Click the game above and it runs right here in your browser. No download, no installer, no account needed. João Wolfe built it with Cinevva, so it works on a phone or a tablet too.
Nobody has said anything about Starbreak yet. Play it, then tell João Wolfe what you would add next.
Starbreak was built by João Wolfe with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Starbreak opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a playable 3D browser game titled “Starbreak” with the subtitle/label “STARBREAK // DOGFIGHT”. Use a dark deep-space setting: nearly black navy background, light blue star points, fog, and a moving field of roughly 34 irregular gray-blue rocky asteroids. The camera is a third-person chase camera behind and slightly above a small blue glowing player spacecraft, looking forward into the asteroid field. The player ship should be centered near the front of the play space, with a bright cyan/blue faceted core or compact fighter-like silhouette. Hostile fighters should appear far ahead and fly toward the camera/player; they should be contrasting red/pink or otherwise hostile-colored spacecraft, move with slight sinusoidal drifting, and periodically fire at the player. Core gameplay: the player flies in the x/y plane while automatically progressing forward through space. Support keyboard WASD and arrow keys: left/right move horizontally, up/down move vertically. Clamp movement to a bounded rectangular flight area. Visually bank/tilt the player slightly while moving. Support touch/mobile controls with four bottom-left directional buttons (left, up, down, right) and a large circular FIRE button at bottom-right. The player can fire with Space or Enter on keyboard, or by holding/tapping FIRE. On each shot, automatically select the nearest enemy fighter and launch a homing missile toward it. Missiles visibly travel through space with orange/yellow glowing rocket-like visuals and curve toward their target. Limit the player’s fire rate with a short cooldown. Each enemy has 2 hit points; a player missile hit reduces its health, and destroying it awards 100 points and removes it. Keep several enemies active at once, initially around five after launch, and periodically spawn more up to about seven. Enemy fighters also fire homing missiles at the player on randomized intervals. Enemy missile hits reduce hull by 12. Asteroids that come close to the player continuously damage hull at about 18 per second, while enemies and asteroids can visually pass through/avoid one another. Missiles expire after a few seconds if they do not hit. The world should feel like forward motion: stars recycle from far ahead to behind, asteroids drift toward the player and recycle to distant negative depth positions, and enemies advance toward the player before being repositioned far ahead once they pass. Use a perspective camera with a mild chase smoothing effect, cinematic cold blue lighting, blue rim lighting around the player, standard/metallic materials, fog, and restrained bloom-like emissive colors. Keep the aesthetic clean sci-fi arcade: dark navy glassy HUD panels, cyan/ice-blue text, thin translucent borders, and a red/pink translucent FIRE control. HUD and screens: At the top-left show “STARBREAK // DOGFIGHT” in spaced uppercase blue-white text. At top-right show rounded glass pills labeled “SCORE” with the current score, and “HULL” with the current hull percentage, initially SCORE 0 and HULL 100%. Centered near the top show the instruction “WASD / arrows to fly · Space or FIRE to launch homing missiles”. Place a thin glowing circular crosshair with horizontal and vertical extensions at screen center. At launch and when the game is not running, show a full-screen dark radial-gradient overlay with a centered rounded glass card. The initial card title is “STARBREAK”, followed by: “Thread the asteroid field, lock onto hostile fighters, and send homing missiles through the dark.” Include a prominent blue button labeled “LAUNCH DOGFIGHT”. Clicking it resets score to 0, hull to 100, clears missiles/enemies, places the player at the starting position, creates the initial enemy wave, and begins gameplay. When hull reaches zero, stop the game and change the card to title “HULL BREACH”, text “Score [current score]. Launch again and thread the rocks tighter.” and button label “RELAUNCH”. Keep the game responsive and make the touch controls visible over the rendered scene on small screens as well as desktop.
