Make your own game

Star Crown was built by Jessica Lais with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Star Crown opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Star Crown

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a third-person low-poly 3D exploration game titled “Star Crown.” The player controls a detailed, nearly black cat with cat-like proportions, four legs, pointed ears, tail, whiskers, a small gray nose, and bright pale-blue eyes. The cat begins in a large connected wilderness map and is viewed from behind in an over-the-shoulder/third-person camera that follows the character; allow mouse/touch camera control. Use WASD or arrow keys to move, Space to jump, and on mobile provide a built-in virtual joystick plus touch camera controls.

Build one continuous rectangular map divided left-to-right into three connected biomes: Forest from x < -25, Snowy Mountains from -25 to 25, and Savanna from x >= 25. The cat starts in the forest around the western side. Use low-poly, grounded materials, soft shadows, atmospheric fog, and a pale sky. The forest should have green ground, brown path sections, many stylized nature-kit trees, bushes and grass, green mounds and layered ground patches. The snowy middle biome should have white/light-blue ground, procedural faceted snow peaks with white caps, snow drifts, pale pines and rocks, a shallow horizontal blue stream near the far side, cloud banks in the distance, and visible falling snow only while the player is in the snow biome. The savanna should have warm ochre/tan ground, layered dune-like patches, acacia trees with brown trunks and flattened green canopies, warm rocks and tufts of grass. Add invisible boundary walls around the outer edges so the player stays within the world.

Place exactly three collectible glowing Starstones, one per biome: a purple octahedral crystal in the forest near (-71, 12), a cyan/light-blue octahedral crystal in the snowy mountains near (4, -8), and a golden-yellow octahedral crystal in the savanna near (74, 10). Each should float and bob slightly, slowly rotate, have a white torus halo and a colored point-light glow. Automatically collect a Starstone when the cat comes within about 2.2 world units; hide it and play a short two-note chime. Track the three independent collections and never respawn collected stones.

Use a fixed HUD overlay with a translucent dark rounded panel in the upper-left. It must show the title “Star Crown,” objective text, “Starstones: 0 / 3” (updating to the current count), and the current biome name. Initially show “Find the 3 Starstones across the wilds.” and the hint “Move with WASD / arrows — on phone use the joystick. Explore the forest, snowy mountains, and savanna.” Once all three are collected, change the objective to “All Starstones found — craft the Star Crown.” and the hint to “Press C or tap Craft Star Crown.” Reveal a gold rounded “Craft Star Crown” button at the lower-right only after all three are found. Keep it hidden otherwise.

When all three Starstones have been collected, allow crafting with the C key or the on-screen button. Crafting should attach a small floating gold crown to the cat’s head: a gold torus band, five gold cone spikes, a pale-blue jewel shaped like a small octahedron, and a subtle blue point-light glow. Play a short ascending chime, stop player movement, show a centered translucent ending card titled “The Star Crown” with the message “Your black cat gathered every Starstone, crafted the Star Crown, and finished the journey.” Include chips/labels for “Forest,” “Snowy Mountains,” and “Savanna,” plus “Refresh to wander again.” Update the HUD to say “The Star Crown is complete.” and “Journey complete.”

Animate the cat with a gentle idle bob; while moving, bob the body and swing alternating legs, sway the tail, and rotate the cat toward its movement direction. Use soft directional sunlight, hemisphere lighting, ambient fill, fog, shadows, and biome-dependent sky/fog color transitions: cooler gray-blue in forest, pale blue-gray in snow, and warmer tan in savanna. Keep the visual style consistent with the shown simple low-poly 3D wilderness and large readable mobile-friendly UI.
