Sleuth & Slither was built by asher with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Sleuth & Slither opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a playable stylized low-poly 3D third-person action-survival game titled “Sleuth & Slither.” The player controls a small pink segmented detective snake/worm wearing a dark fedora in a large circular outdoor field. Use an angled elevated follow camera positioned behind and slightly above the snake, smoothly tracking its movement and looking toward the head. The world should have a bright green meadow-like ground with several large circular soil districts layered onto it in distinct colors: meadow green, soft brown, clay orange-brown, wet dark green, and gray rocky ground. Scatter many tall simple rectangular grass blades, flat leaf patches, low-poly rocks, and a broken gray fence cluster around one district. Use soft directional shadows, atmospheric fog, and a clean colorful low-poly aesthetic; lighting can subtly shift between brighter daytime blue tones and darker muted tones over the survival run. The player avatar is a cute pink snake made from about twelve tapering rounded segments that follow the head in a wiggling chain. Give the head large white eyes with black pupils, a small curved mouth, and a dark fedora. The snake crawls across the surface with WASD or arrow keys, accelerates and turns in the input direction, and visibly undulates. Holding Shift provides a faster burst/dash. Keep the snake within the circular world boundary. Add a burrowing mechanic on E. Toggling burrow makes the snake sink below the ground, leaving dirt puff particles and temporary circular tunnel marks behind it. While underground, only the front portions may be visible and translucent, depth should increase through shallow/mid/deep levels depending on the soil, movement is slower in clay and especially rock, and incoming attacks are generally avoided. Press E again to surface with another dirt burst. Underground movement consumes Coffee more slowly, while surface movement consumes it faster. Coffee is represented by floating glowing cyan low-poly octahedron pickups; collect one by touching it while surfaced to restore about 24 Coffee and add 10 Clues. Scatter about fourteen of these pickups and respawn them at new field positions after collection. Also scatter about eighteen floating/grounded brown low-poly food or clue pickups; touching one restores about 10 Grit, adds 15 Clues, and slightly reduces Heat, then respawns it elsewhere. Populate the field with five airborne bird suspects: two low robins, a hawk, a stork, and a raven. Build them from simple low-poly bodies, boxy wings, beaks and tails, with different body colors and flight heights. They loosely flock and wander, detect the snake based on its Heat, camouflage, leaves, and whether it is underground, then show an attack warning marker on the ground before diving toward the snake’s predicted position. Use visible pulsing circular warning markers for incoming dives. Different birds should have different heights, damage, dive speeds, and attack radii; the stork can reach a shallow underground snake and force it to the surface. Avoiding attacks, burrowing, hiding beneath flat leaf patches, and using camouflage should be meaningful. After roughly 28 seconds, spawn the aerial boss “The Godfather Pigeon,” a much larger dark bird with oversized wings and a larger red-tinted warning marker. It has 4 HP and can be defeated by baiting its dive into hard cover such as rocks or the broken fence; each collision reduces its HP and awards Clues, and defeating it removes the boss. Also activate the ground boss “Baron von Bark” after roughly 52 seconds if the game is still running. Represent this boss as a large dark purple segmented serpentine/worm-like kingpin with 16 rounded segments moving as a chain. It has 6 HP, follows the player, alternates between a slower sweep and a faster charge, damages and knocks back a surfaced player on close contact, and can be damaged by the Interrogation Coil. Add the detective abilities shown by the game rules. Press Q for a temporary 3.2-second “Scent-o-Vision” pulse. Display a centered message saying “Scent-o-Vision — Follow the glowing clue trail,” and spawn rising glowing colored particles/trail points leading toward up to three nearby food pickups, Coffee pickups, or birds. Use yellow for food, cyan for Coffee, purple for ordinary suspects, and red for the boss. Press F for the close-range “Interrogation Coil,” with a 4-second cooldown and a visible brief flash/effect. While surfaced, it affects birds within about 6.5 world units: ordinary birds enter a recover/stunned state for about 2.4 seconds, lose their alert, and award 25 Clues; the Godfather awards 45. If Baron von Bark is within about 7.5 units, reduce its HP by one and award 80 Clues. Show a short centered success message for a hit or “Missed Lead — No suspect close enough to squeeze” otherwise. The Coil should not work while underground. Implement survival stats and rules. Start with Grit/health 100, Coffee 100, Heat 0, and score/Clues 0. Coffee drains continuously, faster on the surface and slower underground. Grit drains slowly over time and drains much faster when Coffee is below 25. Bird dives and the ground boss deal damage. Heat rises with movement speed, Shift bursts, and exposure (especially in wet soil), while camouflage reduces effective attention. Camouflage should be higher under leaves, underground, and in some district soils; recolor/blend the snake toward the current soil color as camouflage increases. Underground reduces Heat, especially at greater depth. If a normally fatal hit occurs for the first time, instead trigger a one-use “Cornered!” escape state: freeze ordinary gameplay and require rapidly tapping Space for 4.5 seconds to fill an Escape meter to 100%. Success restores the snake with 28 Grit, keeps at least 20 Coffee, and puts it deep underground; failure shows a death card. Create a fixed translucent dark HUD panel in the upper-left with cream text and these live readouts: “Grit,” “Coffee,” “Heat,” “Depth” (Surface/Shallow/Mid/Deep), “Blend” as a percentage, “District” (such as Market Row, Air District, Sewer Mouth, Penthouse Ridge, Shed & Shred, or Tunnel Nine based on the current colored region), “Suspects” count, “Kingpin” status and HP, “Case Time,” and “Clues.” Put a bottom-center control legend: “WASD move · Shift dash · E burrow · Q Scent-o-Vision trail · F Interrogation Coil · Space escape mash · R restart.” Use centered dark rounded message cards for the title/instructions, boss announcements, ability feedback, and failure screens. The run should continue as a survival case rather than ending immediately: track Case Time and Clues, let the player explore the districts, collect resources, hide, burrow, avoid or stun suspects, and confront the timed bosses. On death, stop gameplay and show one randomly selected snake-pun failure card such as “KNOT TODAY!”, “HISSS-TORY.”, “S-S-S-SORRY!”, or “SHED HAPPENS.” with a short comedic explanation, the final Clues and Case Time, and “Press R to slither back on duty.” R resets the player, timers, score, bosses, birds, resources, and temporary effects. Add subtle synthesized crawl, pickup, warning, burrow, and impact sounds if audio is available, but keep the game fully playable without audio.
