Skyline One-on-One was built by Daniel gowdamarajan with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Read the build brief for Skyline One-on-One

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a playable stylized 3D arcade basketball game titled “Skyline One-on-One · Street Court.” Use a fixed, slightly elevated side-on perspective across a full-width outdoor half-court: the player starts on the left, the AI rival stands on the right, and a basketball hoop with rectangular backboard, orange rim, hanging pale net, and dark support pole is at the far right. Keep the camera aimed at the court with the warm orange sky and skyline visible behind it; do not use a scrolling camera.

Core gameplay: this is a one-on-one shooting and rebound duel against a simple AI. The player has the ball initially and can move horizontally across the court between approximately x=-8 and x=4.5. Use A/D or left/right arrow keys to move; also provide large touch buttons for left and right. A JUMP touch button and a keyboard jump control should make the player jump, with gravity bringing them back down. The player may jump while they have possession and are not already shooting. To shoot, hold Space: enter an aiming mode, display a short yellow dashed curved trajectory guide from the player/ball toward the hoop, and use W/S while holding Space to raise or lower the shot arc. Release Space to launch. The shot is a physics projectile with horizontal velocity, upward velocity, gravity, bouncing off the ground and potentially the rim/backboard area. The player’s shot starts from the player’s current position and the ball should visibly travel through the air.

A clean shot through the rim scores 2 points for whoever shot it. A shot that misses bounces, and the ball eventually settles on the floor. Determine the rebound winner by which character is closer to the ball when it settles: give possession to that character, place the ball in their hands, and let the winner shoot again; show a status message indicating whether the player won the rebound or the AI won it. After a player make, possession passes to the AI; after an AI make, possession passes back to the player. The AI should wait briefly, then automatically shoot from its side using a fairly accurate but not perfect fixed shot, while the player can attempt to get into position for the rebound. End the game as soon as either side reaches 11 points, show a FINAL state in the round/possession HUD, and display either “YOU WIN THE STREET COURT!” or an AI win message. Include a RESET button and R key to reset scores, positions, possession, ball, and round.

HUD overlay: use cream panels with very dark purple outlines and offset shadow blocks, matching the visible graphic design. At the top center show “SKYLINE ONE-ON-ONE · STREET COURT,” a left blue “YOU” score, a central gold badge labeled “1 V 1” with the current state such as “YOUR BALL,” “AIMING,” or “AI BALL,” and a right red “AI RIVAL” score. Put a prominent RESET button at the upper right. Beneath the scoreboard show a centered cream status panel whose text changes through messages such as the initial movement/shooting instructions, aiming instructions, “Shot in the air! Chase the rebound,” “BUCKET! +2 — grab the ball,” “AI is shooting! Get ready for the rebound,” rebound results, and win/lose messages. At the bottom center show a cream instruction panel explaining “Aim: hold Space, adjust with W/S, release · steal the rebound by getting there first.” On the lower left show three touch controls: left arrow, JUMP, and right arrow. Make the HUD responsive for narrow screens, moving the reset button lower if needed and keeping controls usable.

Art direction: warm sunset street-court poster aesthetic rendered in simple low-poly 3D. Use an orange/salmon sky background with subtle fog, warm cream/yellow sunlight, and a flat ochre court floor with alternating broad stripe bands and dark court boundary line. Fill the background with a row of simplified dark mauve and burgundy rectangular city buildings of varied heights and small square window marks, silhouetted against the sky. Characters should be compact stylized skate/basketball boys from a low-poly character asset: player tinted blue, rival tinted red, with dark hair, simple faces, blocky bodies, legs and skate-like feet; face the player toward the right and the rival toward the left. Use an orange basketball with a slightly rough material and visible shadows. Use strong warm directional lighting plus a subtle cool blue rim light, ambient hemisphere lighting, soft shadows, and an orange fog/background. Preserve the clean graphic, chunky outlined UI style while the court and characters remain 3D.
